the DVD release of the year on Monday
Unfortunatley....yes, but i never said she was an actor and nor did she, it was just in her american idol contract
-
the DVD release of the year on Monday
Yes, i should have phrased it a lot better and been more constructive with my opinion, i was just short on time and personally felt like i'd wasted almost 2 hours of my life. I know what you mean about indie films, but i don't really know what to call real indie films....rindies? I also think it's cool that indie films are starting to get backing from studios, especially warner "classics" or whatever theyre calling themselves. Lol, no one said she could act and she was forced to do that movie in her contract......*hangs head in shame for her*

the DVD release of the year on Monday
I think it was the sons working together after Majjid told his son of what happened when they were kids.
-
the DVD release of the year on Monday
Lol, just before you posted i deleted it realising it was a tad bitchy. No one has to restrain themselves, we all have our opinions, which is what makes us interesting. PS i hardly see how implying im an idiot is polite or civil

Hard Candy
lol and in reply to grim : i retract my question
-
the DVD release of the year on Monday
I do understand the film, granted it took a little bit of help from your responses, but i'm still less then satisfied with it. And when i meant it didn't make for good cinema, i meant watching the tapes with them, hence the watching people go about their lives for 20 minutes. I'm all for thought provoking films and this one obviously worked on both of us in different ways because we're debating it now. If you knew anything about my taste in films, which you don't, it's true i like some of the blockbusters, but i tend to favour limited releases/indie films, so hold back on the snap judgements yea?

Hard Candy
It's more about reading the other thread and then this one

the DVD release of the year on Monday
Yay, i know let's play a fun game and look down on people because we think they didn't get the film. I got the film and still hated it with a passion. I'm not opposed to ambiguous endings, i just didn't like this one and as i originally said, i got nothing out of this film at all, except the feeling to slash my own throat after 20 minutes of shots with just people going about their daily lives and i know that's meant to have some interpretation of the social/political climate in France, but frankly i don't think it makes for good cinema. I can see i'm out numbered here and anything i say about my opinion is going to be scoffed at (as already seen with what you've already said). Anywayz, i've had my 2 cents on the film, now i'll leave you all alone to stroke each others superiority complexes.

Hard Candy
No @#it Sherlock, that's just what i was expecting after all the build up and the adverts. And is it your goal today to keep having at laugh at my expense? Because if it is, you're a very sad little man

Hard Candy
Just saw this and friends with money, both really good, but completely different. Hard Candy wasnt what i expected, but in a good way, i know it makes me sound sadistic but the castration wasnt harsh enough, lack of blood, pain, etc. But the girl was excellent, i just hope shes not the next haley jole osmund, one hit film then fades into obscurity

Hard Candy
CONSENSUS Disturbing, controversial, but entirely engrossing, Hard Candy is well written with strong lead performances, especially that of newcomer Ellen Page. A movie that stays with the viewer long after leaving the theater. http://uk.rottentomatoes.com/m/hard_candy/
