If anyone uses Spotify check out Battlefield on there, the cover where she's standing in front of a fan with her hair tied back looks to be the cover.

I prefer it alot more too :) Not too sure what that thing she's holding over her eye is though :S I don't know... I like it... but it's as if they're trying to make her into something she's not. Like sexy... don't get me wrong she is 'sexy' she's absolutely gorgeous, but it's the wrong kind of sexy...

Number 11 in the charts this week, great improvement. Why is it whenever she has a potential number 1 there's always huge songs out the same week/same time :(

An article from music magazine Billboard leaked to insiders and was posted on Pulse Music Board. The article contains alot of new and exciting information on Jordin's sophomore album! She talks about a collaboration with T-Pain, which is the track called 'Watch You Go'. I'm super excited about this, hopefully it will be a single and a multi-format smash just like No Air! Another standout track is the Dr. Luke/T-Pain collaboration "Watch You Go," the only song that features another artist. "It's got a slow, urban vibe," Sparks says of the song, "but don't worry—I don't think my voice is in AutoTune." We also find out who Jordin's new management is: it's the Jonas Brothers' dad! ^_^ He says that they're focusing on a more mature side of Jordin, her growing up. Choosing "Battlefield" as the first single was a bold decision, since the song finds Sparks straying from her cheery demeanor and singing assertively about the dark side of love. Her new manager says it fit with their strategy to present Sparks in a new light. "Jordin started out as the youngest 'American Idol' winner and had all the blessings that come with that," says Kevin Jonas, who's also the manager (and father) of the Jonas Brothers and handles Sparks with his partner Phil McIntyre. "But now it's important for Jordin to tell everyone, 'I am a strong woman and I have something to say.' " JORDIN SPARKS: READY FOR 'BATTLE' June 27, 2009 'Idol' Winner Raises Her Voice On Sophomore Album Monica Herrera Even Jordin Sparks knows how giddy she sounds. As the 19-year-old singer rattles off a list of favorite tracks from her new album "Battlefield"—out July 21 on 19 Recordings/Jive Records—her excitement is contagious. "I can't wait for you to hear them," she says. "I'm sure you can hear the smile in my voice." There are plenty of reasons why Sparks is so happy. She's been able to give her sophomore set more attention than her 2007 self-titled debut, which was recorded in four weeks and rushed to stores soon after the Phoenix, Ark., native won "American Idol." That album sold 1 million copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. This time, Sparks spent four months writing and recording, entering the studio in January and working with Dr. Luke, Stargate, Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic and T-Pain. "I knew I'd be able to get more involved because we had the time," Sparks says. "It's an amazing feeling to put my experiences on paper, and all of a sudden it becomes a song." Like Sparks' debut, "Battlefield" leans heavily toward midtempo pop ballads with some songs skewing into R&B territory. The title track, produced and co-written by Tedder, debuted at No. 23 on the Billboard Hot 100 the week after Sparks introduced it as her first single on "Idol." Another standout track is the Dr. Luke/T-Pain collaboration "Watch You Go," the only song that features another artist. "It's got a slow, urban vibe," Sparks says of the song, "but don't worry—I don't think my voice is in AutoTune." Choosing "Battlefield" as the first single was a bold decision, since the song finds Sparks straying from her cheery demeanor and singing assertively about the dark side of love. "But now it's important for Jordin to tell everyone, 'I am a strong woman and I have something to say.' " Lisa Cambridge-Mitchell, senior VP of marketing at Jive Label Group, agrees. "There's a level of freedom and confidence about her that's growing every day, from finding her voice as a songwriter to figuring out what photographer she likes to work with. Things like that are empowering, especially for female artists." A longer lead for Sparks' second album means more time to promote it, which is another big change for her and the label. "It is a challenge for the company overall, because initially it's very reactionary," Cambridge-Mitchell says of Jive's efforts to market debut albums by "Idol" winners. "With this project, we were able to start talking about our strategy in March." Sparks is booked to perform on "Good Morning America," "Live With Regis and Kelly" and "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon," and the label has partnered with the young plus-size women's fashion chain Torrid to host album-listening parties. Jive also will release a deluxe version of "Battlefield" for $22.98 that features a bonus DVD with behind-the-scenes footage of the singer recording in the studio and working out with her new personal trainer. Extra footage will be picked up by AOL as exclusive content. Dictating the rollout of all this is Sparks' upcoming tour with the Jonas Brothers, a 52-date run that kicks off June 20 in Arlington, Texas. The singer will have full use of the Jonas Brothers' production and return to the stage during their set to perform. "The Jonas Brothers have had to play front of curtain many times, so we said if we're ever headlining, we want to treat every person opening for the boys in a way that honors them," Jonas says. "Jordin will have the chance to show she can hold 30,000 people in the palm of her hand." As expected, Sparks is relishing all these opportunities and the ones that will likely follow. "This tour is massive, and I feel very blessed to be a part of it," she says, adding that she hopes to keep bridging the gap between pop and R&B hits well into the next phase of her career. "I'm in a really great position right now. I know that's weird to say because there has to be that growth and evolution, but I want to stay right where I am." Promo for the new single and album will start soon aswell! Jordin will team up with Torrid and also perform and promote her new album on several shows. Sparks is booked to perform on "Good Morning America," "Live With Regis and Kelly" and "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon," and the label has partnered with the young plus-size women's fashion chain Torrid to host album-listening parties. Also, the Jonas Brothers tour's first show is TONIGHT and as you all know, Jordin is a special guest on all the U.S. concerts. Going to the concert? I think it'll either be massive or tiny. Who knows, hopefully she'll gather a larger following after Battlefield, I know if I wasn't a fan and I heard Battlefield it'd certainly make me want to hear the album! I know it's a great song, I'm guessing Jordin is releasing it though... who produced it? Toby Gad? I wonder how it'll work if it's a duet? EDIT - Forgot all about this! T-Pain's produced a track for the album, Jordin tweeted him a few weeks ago saying 'Thanks for the track' someone else tweeted her saying 'Is it a duet with T-Pain' (or something along those lines) and she tweeted back 'You'll just have to wait and see'....please.please.please.

Someone tweeted Jordin on Twitter regarding Vertigo... @TheRealJordin How come Vertigo did not make the final tracklisting? That song is all sorts of awesomness! She replied... @OoSHiZ_its_ALEX you just have to wait and see what happens der! :) I smell a duet?! And maybe someone else is getting the majority of the credit? Who knows...
  18. emmaec posted a post in a topic in Pop and Country
Mehhhh not the greatest of songs, hopefully Jordin's done something spectacular with it :) I'm actually godsmacked Vertigo never made it! And the deluxe version is actually going ahead then.... HMV usually just put stuff like that on their site for the sake of it then remove it later.
  19. :o ooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

I'm kinda liking it, they could have put her in nicer clothes though! Do you reckon we'll get that cover or the original Battlefield cover on physical release in the UK?
  21. emmaec posted a post in a topic in Pop and Country
Very good point, which she probably will, but I wasn't talking about europe

http://www.jordinsparks.com/news/new-%E2%8...%9D-album-cover Did no one think to check her official site? haha
  23. Is it actually credited as 'Jonas Brothers'? Because I thought only Nick had vocals on it? EDIT: Saying that, they still technically play on the track, don't they?

That's not fan made, it was originally an iTunes advert on her fan site (www.sparkstown.com) it fits in well with the theme of the website, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was neither the album cover or single. And I hope to god we get Papercut and Vertigo... Then again, we always get bonus tracks... if i'm correct (i'll check just to make sure) *whips out signed copy of Jordin's album addressed to Emma!* Yes, we got This Is My Now as a bonus track, then we got Save Me on the No Air physical, so maybe we'll get another bonus track on the second single? Here's to hoping!

This week, American Idol winner Jordin Sparks stopped by Seventeen ! After giving us the scoop about her fave lipgloss ("Dessert" by Jessica Simpson), Jordin played us a few songs from her brand-new album, which hits stores July 21. She rocked out to her new tunes, including "Walking on Snow," "No Parade," and "It Takes More." But this pop star is taking things one step at a time - after touring with the JoBros this summer, she's open to lots of different possibilities. 17: What can we expect from your new album? Jordin Sparks: Some songs are as big as "No Air" and "Battlefield," but there's also ballads because I love to do those. I got to write a lot more on this album, so fans get to hear more of my heart. It gives the audiences something to grasp onto. (On her first album, Jordin wrote three songs - this time, she wrote four, and two more will available as bonus tracks on iTunes.) 17: So you're touring with the Jonas Brothers this summer? JS: Yeah, I'll be a special guest, along with Honor Society. I don't know if I'm prepared for Jonas mania, though! I've been friends with the boys for two years - we met at a radio show in Phoenix. It's going to be a massive show, and we've already sold over a million tickets. The stage is massive, too! Walking all the way around it during the show will keep me in shape while I'm on tour. After the tour ends, I'm searching for some voice-over opportunities.
