doesnt tour europe until may. so i guess if something is agreed.. delta will release around then, unless she uses it as a boost for the album. she may release in US straight after tour if it happens
  4. Nate88 posted a post in a topic in Pop and Country
it has been confirmed by delta that she will release in late feb in the uk and europe. may be pushed back later if she can strike a deal with celine dion and be her support act. but at this stage, single one in late feb and album in march
  5. Nate88 posted a post in a topic in Pop and Country
this is all a bonus. i think celine is going to retire after this album. there is reports that she is hinting this tour will be her last would be great if she saw something special in delta and wanted to hand a help to delta and have her open her shows. 100 dates, great exposure. but i wouldnt want delta killing herself to make it to all concerts. hope thats what happens rather than a duet. concert would be bigger for delta
  6. i think the dancers make it that bit more interesting. plus i loved when delta was moving and clapping. the piano is sometimes boring and overated <_< BA is a strong track and will do well. video is looking great and andrew is a nob. -_- he has a huge crush on delta :P
  7. Australian Idol down to final two contestantsArticle from: Font size: Decrease Increase Email article: Email Print article: Print Submit comment: Submit comment November 14, 2007 12:00am AUSTRALIAN Idol is down to the final two and the singer booted off on Monday night is picking Melbourne girl Natalie Gauci to win. Carl Riseley had high praise for both finalists. However he said Natalie was ready to be a fully fledged recording artist and would benefit more from getting a deal with Sony BMG. "She's an awesome arranger of music and I hope she wins, she's ready for it," Riseley said. He said the other finalist, Matt Corby, was a "true artist, one of the most talented I have seen". Riseley was diplomatic about outspoken finalist Tarisai Vushe, who didn't have kind words for the last three, including an extraordinary attack on Gauci after she was voted off the show. "I just think the whole thing was a bit immature," he said. "She's just a little naive and had a bit of a temper." He is half glad he didn't make the final as his version of the winner's song would have sounded terrible because of his swing style. The song called Here I Am is believed to have been written by Delta Goodrem. The former navy trumpeter said he was feeling good and a little relieved to have left the show. "I don't know if Australia was ready to hear my swing version of the new Australian Idol hit," he laughed. "We did it, and it sounded bloody horrible. "It didn't quite work, but it was fun mucking around with it." The swing king hasn't had any offers from record companies yet, but is determined to pursue a career in music no matter what it takes. One thing Riseley does know for sure is that he won't be going back to the navy. "No, they'd make me cut my hair -- I'm too attached to my new haircut," he said. this would be wicked for delta. idols always have highest selling singles of the year. i wonder it it is the hear i am that is a Delta bside or a whole new song
  8. just thought i would share ^_^ Delta Goodrem and Celine Dion's diva duet ONE is a Australian treasure, the other one of the world's most loved singers - and now Delta Goodrem and Celine Dion are on track for a diva duet when the Grammy Award-winning performer arrives in Sydney next year. After she wraps up her flashy five-year residency in Las Vegas in December, Dion yesterday announced she will tour Australia through March and April 2008. The tour announcement is music to Goodrem's ears - not only because she has idolised Dion since childhood, but because the pair's recent musical collaboration means a combined performance is likely when the diva hits town. In a professional and financial boon for the Sydney star, Dion recently recorded a track Goodrem penned for inclusion on the Canadian crooner's comeback album, Taking Chances. Goodrem wrote Eyes On Me last year with Swedish hitmaker Kristian Lundin, but it didn't make it onto her album Delta - with Dion instead taking the opportunity to record it. While both large-lunged ladies are signed to the same record company at Sony BMG, the approach is likely to come from Dion's US management. "It's early days but the opportunity is definitely there - Australia is one of Celine's best selling territories so it would make sense," a Sony BMG spokeswoman said. Goodrem met her idol for the first time in January this year, when the pop princess and her boyfriend Bryan McFadden popped backstage for a quick meet and greet following one of Dion's Vegas shows. "Delta is such a huge fan of Celine's and it was a total highlight for her song to be included on the album," Goodrem's manager said. "If their schedules allow for it we'll make every effort to connect with Celine - Delta would be beside herself."

Delta Goodrem with be on hand for the first ever TV performance of "Believe Again", the second single from her No.1 album Delta. Her previous single, "In This Life", became her eighth No.1 and amazing new songs looks certain to follow in Ms. Goodrem's amazing record of success. Also performing will be resident judge and diva Marcia Hines, who will show the remaining contestants how it's done when she belts out her version of R.E.M's "Everybody Hurts" from her new album Life. The album features a collection of Marcia's favourite life-affirming songs, including interpretations of songs from John Lennon, Mike + The Mechanics and Toni Braxton. And all of this is before we get to the night's main event – the departure of one of our Final 3. One of our favourites will go, missing the opportunity of a lifetime to perform at the Sydney Opera House as part of the competition. Don't forget to vote for your favourite after Sunday's Performance Show and then stay tuned for what will be the most nail-biting episode of the series to far. Marcia's latest album, Life will be out in stores starting Saturday 17th November.
