AUSTRALIAN Idol finalists have been punted from the AFL grand final entertainment line-up. It is only the second time in the five year history of the televised talent competition that its singers have been overlooked for the pre-game show at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. A Network Ten spokeswoman confirmed the AFL's decision not to include the Australian Idol finalists, claiming the game wanted to "boost'' its pre-match entertainment. "I've been told that Jet and Rogue Traders will perform and that they're pushing to get Delta Goodrem to sing the national anthem.'' "No, they're all excited that they get to perform in Federation Square on the Wednesday before the Grand Final, so they'll still be performing to a crowd of tens of thousands.'' Persistent music industry rumours suggest that US popstar Kelly Clarkson, who jets into the country only a day before the grand final, will also perform. Ironically enough, Clarkson is a former American Idol winner. While an AFL spokesman would not discuss the reasons for dropping the Australian Idol finalists, he confirmed that Jet will perform before the match.

i hope it it not to race in and perform at the emmys. she needs to have a good two weeks of hard work before she even thinks about performing. she really should wait and blow us all away. if she races in and does another doge performance she is toast

yeh its great. itunes in this life has a huge popularity rating. when i was on there at 1AM there was no rating and now at 840AM it is as high as it can be. Take me home is about a third of in this life take me home is really great!! Breathe in Breath out is not on itunes, someone on the OF quoted her saying it was but it isnt on there

i dont think she is releasing it. i think she is recording the video early so they can get it 100%... maybe doing it early to allow for special effects? i would assume it will be released in october (so she can perform it at the arias etc)
