Sunderland have rejected a bid of £6Million from West Ham for Defoe. If they accept an offer of anything they are stupid. Staying up is worth £100Million + West Ham have said name your price and we will pay it, although rumours have an upped offer of £7Million are starting. The owners would apparently will sell for £10million. How true that is I don't know. If he is still a Sunderland player on Saturday and isn't in the squad for the FA Cup he is as good as gone. Selling one of your star players to potential relegation rivals is beyond stupid. I don't get the owners logic. They want to sell the club and a Premier League club (albeit a struggling one) looks much better than a Championship club.
