  1. Surely you can see the Kworb figures the same as anyone else can?
  2. It did, it had a week at Number 68 (chart for w/e 24/5/08)

Do we know if it is going to be presented in any sort of order (as a "chart" format), or just random?

I'll do the early slot if you want, I was very likely to be up then anyway, and it's about time I put some work into one of these type of threads. Will have to practice with Youtube first though as I never use it!

She's not given a credit for "Young Love" on the OCC database
  6. As always, check the sticky thread at the top of the page http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=176134
  7. By the time I started listening to the Tuesday reveal it was Paul Burnett, he played 5, 4, 3, and 2, then did a whole Top 40 rundown and then played Number 1 I also don't remember this "top 20 plus new entries lower down" on Sunday, it was just the Top 20 for most of Tom Browne's period, then the whole Top 40 with just an odd record missed out sometimes to fit the 40 in a 2-hour slot.
  8. And on the Wednesday morning breakfast show.

    1. "Love Me Like You Do" 2. "Uptown Funk" 3. "King" 4 "Lay Me Down" Haven't heard the Jess Glynne track yet, so can't reasonably rank it.
  10. On itunes yes, but not on the OCC.
  11. I think the two will be merged, but with only Ed credited on the chart.
  12. Someone asked about this on Facebook the other day but I can't find the original post, and I thought it might be of some interest here. It shows the 50 artists with the longest gaps between appearances in the Top 10 in the UK singles chart. All chart days are re-set to Saturdays for ease of comparison, dates shown are the date of the last appearance before the "gap" and the first appearance that broke the "gap". All refer to named apperances only, so for example Robin Gibb's multiple Top 10s with the Bee Gees don't break his sequence as a named individual, that didn't happen until his appearance on "(Barry) Island In The Stream" It doesn't matter whether the Top 10 re-appearance was with new material or a re-release of old stuff, it just matters that that act made the Top 10 again! Robin Gibb 13-Sep-69 to 21-Mar-09 Leeds United FC 27-May-72 to 29-May-10 Perez Prado 20-Sep-58 to 13-May-95 Nancy Sinatra 23-Oct-71 to 04-Jun-05 Cat Stevens 29-Jan-72 to 25-Dec-04 Lou Reed 02-Jun-73 to 31-Jul-04 Mamas & Papas 26-Aug-67 to 02-Aug-97 Donny Osmond 15-Feb-75 to 02-Oct-04 Yes 08-Oct-77 to 28-May-05 Tony Christie 10-Jul-71 to 23-Jan-99 Pink Floyd 26-Jan-80 to 13-Jan-07 Sham 69 25-Aug-79 to 24-Jun-06 Louis Armstrong 01-Jun-68 to 26-Nov-94 Mick Jagger 12-Oct-85 to 18-Feb-12 Paul McCartney 10-Jun-89 to 07-Feb-15 Nat King Cole 17-Nov-62 to 26-Dec-87 Andy Williams 23-Feb-74 to 27-Mar-99 Sam Cooke 28-Apr-62 to 29-Mar-86 Leo Sayer 10-Apr-82 to 18-Feb-06 Carl Douglas 12-Oct-74 to 13-Jun-98 Rolf Harris 21-Feb-70 to 13-Feb-93 Isaac Hayes 08-May-76 to 26-Dec-98 Roy Orbison 08-Oct-66 to 21-Jan-89 Elvis Presley 04-Oct-80 to 22-Jun-02 Petula Clark 08-Apr-67 to 24-Dec-88 Righteous Brothers 22-Mar-69 to 27-Oct-90 Gene Pitney 06-Jan-68 to 21-Jan-89 Temptations 24-Jul-71 to 22-Feb-92 Bing Crosby 17-Aug-57 to 24-Dec-77 Dubliners 03-Jun-67 to 11-Apr-87 David Bowie 03-Apr-93 to 19-Jan-13 Brian May 03-Oct-92 to 10-Mar-12 Vanilla Ice 09-Feb-91 to 13-Feb-10 Kate Bush 22-Nov-86 to 05-Nov-05 Real Thing 21-Jun-86 to 23-Apr-05 Al Martino 16-Oct-54 to 04-Aug-73 Nina Simone 15-Feb-69 to 21-Nov-87 Dusty Springfield 11-Jan-69 to 22-Aug-87 Guru Josh 24-Mar-90 to 01-Nov-08 Kool & The Gang 10-Aug-85 to 27-Dec-03 Smurfs 12-Aug-78 to 07-Sep-96 Free 10-Feb-73 to 02-Mar-91 Blondie 14-Feb-81 to 13-Feb-99 Kirsty MacColl 09-Jan-88 to 31-Dec-05 Pogues 09-Jan-88 to 31-Dec-05 Des O'Connor 04-Jan-69 to 06-Dec-86 A-Ha 09-Apr-88 to 04-Feb-06 Eric Clapton 24-Aug-74 to 21-Mar-92 Mike Berry 16-Feb-63 to 30-Aug-80 Robin Beck 10-Dec-88 to 27-May-06 with both ends of the Kirsty MacColl and Pogues gap being "Fairytale Of New York", if you want to treat that as one, the 50th place would then be with Smokie 11-Sep-76 to 20-Nov-93 As usual, please let me know of any errors or omissions.
  13. Most, if not all, of these other genres mentioned are sub-divisions of pop anyway in my book.

I thought this thread was for all Radio 1 discussion *Except* The weekly playlist?

Sorry I didn't get around to posting last week, as compensation it's a double batch this week. I've not got time to pick out many artists right now, but will get to it tomorrow. Suffice it to say that Madonna is in this group.
  16. They were added in to the Itunes chart at the time they were pre-ordered. Previously they were added twice, once then and once when the pre-order was converted to a purchase. They're now added only once. You can argue at which point they should be added, but it was certainly illogical under the previous system when they were added twice.

Wasn't that different "songs" - the Crazy Frog one was a cover of "Axel F" and the Pondlife just random "Ring Ding Ding"-ing

Blur's 7" of "Country House" was listed separately to the main CD/12" due to the maximum number of formats being reached - the 7" was at 59 in w/e 9/9/95 while the main entry was at number 2 A similar event happened four months earlier, with Oasis. In their example, the 12" of "Some Might Say" was separated out and poked its nose into the charts at no. 71 in w/e 13/5/95 while the main entry was number 2.
  20. Well at least that would be preferable to the MNEK track for example. Dull old music is better than really bad new music.

    Yes, w/e 4/10/69 16 & 3, w/e 11/10/69 33 & 1
  22. The pre-orders were added into the Itunes chart when they were purchased. I always thought it was a bit of a fudge that they got added in again when the pre-order was turned into an actual purchase, so am glad this change was made.

Was Paul Burnett doing the Tuesday lunchtime chart reveal when "Convoy GB" made the charts?

Mother & son Hilda & Robert Woodward had a number one hit together as part of Lieutenant Pigeon. All 3 members of Wilson Phillips were daughters of 60s hitmakers

If it includes airplay, to me it is always going to be a fake chart.
