OCC: Top 40 Best Selling Female Singles of All-Time
Perhaps it just sounds a little bit more dated than some of the others

BBC Three moves online
Only 4% of BBC3's viewing figures currently comes from Iplayer etc., so the vast majority of people who watch it do so via TV. I was surprised to hear it has viewing figures higher than Sky Sports and Sky One for instance.

Shazam Top 100 - Philip George #1
But those sales would have virtually all been accounted for after release anyway

Several when he was in Deacon Blue?

Shazam Top 100 - Philip George #1
Very little extra indeed.

What is better, Radio airplay or TV airplay for an artist?
A TV performance in prime time will also work wonders

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 2nd March 2014
40-45 minutes is too short these days. I suppose most of them at that length are just designed to have a deluxe edition come along in 6 months time.

Is Airplay that important for an artist?
Use on an advert is also a massive boost

The Suedehead Chart Commentary
They don't seem to be archived here. I'm sure they can be found on Haven as they're posted within threads there rather than as "Site News"

Ellie Goulding-Goodness Gracious
But we're discussing positions on the main chart, not Itunes

Ellie Goulding-Goodness Gracious
No, number 26.

Radio 1 Age Policy
Why are they required to state an age range? Surely at least commercial stations want to attract as wide of a range of demographics as possible?

Radio 1 Age Policy
Geneva - Into The Blue - (2 Weeks) 08/02/1997 -{26}-59 Mission - Into The Blue - (3 Weeks) 02/06/1990 -35-{32}-65 Moby - Into The Blue - (2 Weeks) 01/07/1995 -{34}-63 All of which confused me as none of them were huge hits, and I think it is rather premature to include a record that hasn't even been released yet as a glaring omission in the same vein as the likes of "Moves Like Jagger", "Work Bitch" and "Candy"

Radio 1 Age Policy
Which "Into The Blue" are we talking about?

Radio 1 Age Policy
The one thing they're not going to do is add a new station. Remember, it wasn't that long ago when they wanted to drop two, and I don't expect the BBC finances have improved significantly since them

'Skipped' UK Top 40 Hits
I seem to remember D-Mob's "We Call It Acieed" being on the naughtly list at some time. Was there an instrumental that was played during the Top 40?

Virtual Book of British Hit Singles - "B"
All of the above for the update of Part 7 now hopefully taken into account, thanks for all the postings. I've hit a slight problem this morning - when adding in Part 8, the total combined size of Parts 7 & 8 were slightly too big for a single forum post (does anyone know the limit, either in terms of lines of text or bytes?) so I've had to trim it so that it ends at Cilla Black rather then The Blackbyrds. Other "B" posts may also slip slightly if necessary and I'll know to be a little less ambitious of how much I can include in a single post for the "C" thread. Bré - yes, if I was to re-do the "A" thread now, Alesso's entry would include the Alesso vs OneRepublic credit. Hit Parade - I don't really have a hard and fast rule about dates of birth/death for group members. Unfortunately, some of the mini bios were created at different times over the last couple of years when I've spent varying amounts of time doing the research and thus including more or less detail. The general plan would be to include rather than exclude, so if anybody wants to add any ones I don't have, I'm all for it!

'Skipped' UK Top 40 Hits
Yes. Tom Browne just said something "and at number 2 there's a record by the Sex Pistols"
