Okay, thanks. It went miles over my head!

What is this "Retrobot" thing? Is it a joke like that Tara record listed in last weeks midweeks?
  3. I'd like to keep the two separate
  4. So about 100 a week. Doesn't sound so good put like that
  5. How many are off for Christmas already? There's still nearly two weeks to go, not even schools are off yet? I guess Universties have broken up, but how many students would watch that anyway?
  6. Okay, thanks. I've never heard of this Taraella either as a singer or as a Buzzjack user.
  7. Don't know, is that the singer on Armand van Helden's "Mymymy"? Even if she was, that's none I suppose.
  8. With Cheryl Cole, Cilla Black, Ellie Goulding, Emeli Sandé, Geri Halliwell, Louise, Jessie J, Petula Clark & Shirley Bassey all on 6
  9. We didn't even get that last year, it was a dull, poorly produced, generic cover of a dull song

I believe the Sex Pistols appeared once, playing "Pretty Vacant"
  11. And one more addition Passenger - "Let Her Go" equalled the 4 weeks spent at number 25 a couple of weeks ago Passenger - Let Her Go - (33 Weeks) 27/04/2013 -44-11-4-3-{2}-3-4-4-3-4-6-7-8-10-7-8-13-18-23-22-22-22-25-20-21-25-24-25-33-43-25-34-51
  12. Surely that makes it an intersting week, not a boring one?

The AC/DC "campaign" seems to have gone very quiet
  14. You can see the top 1500 (well quite often the Top 1498) on Live Pop Bars. That track is just inside the top 1000

Yes, you're right. I only started following (and writing down) the Top 20 in early 77.

Yes, even re-entries to the Top 20 etc. were almost as rare as hen's teeth. I was most suprised for example to see Samantha Sang's "Emotions" retun to the Top 20 in March 78, I think that was probably the first occurence since I had been following the chart

That was basically just The Clash who refused to do it, wasn't it? The likes of the Stranglers and the Boomtown Rats were regular participants.
  18. But they'll just pick it up the next time they're out shopping.
  19. They're not denying them an extra days sales, it's just shifting the sales later.
  20. I'm in two minds about "When A Child Is Born", it depends on which version you believe whether it relates to the nativity story or not. ""A Spaceman Came Travelling" by Chris de Burgh is a bit more specific about it with it's Messianic lyrics but again does not specifically mention the nativity. As Suedehead, I tend to associate "The Power Of Love" with the album, so it's no more a Christmas tune (to me) than "Two Tribes" or their version of "San Jose (The Way)"
  21. I completely disagree. A song has to be about Christmas to be a Christmas song to me.
  22. I don't mind their music too much (the cover of One Way or Another/Teenage Kicks apart), it's just they come across as complete prats in the media. (and prats is the toned down word from what I originally intended to post there!) I know they're just young lads "living the dream" but at face value, that's what I think.

That would be good, she's too good to be a one hit wonder in the UK

Very little of quality in this group Zedd featuring Foxes - "Clarity" Ellie Goulding - "How Long Will I Love You" Lana Del Rey vs Cédric Gervais - "Summertime Sadness" Little Mix - "Move" Avicii - "You Make Me" Avicii - "Wake Me Up" - these two could be a tossup Lady Gaga featuring R Kelly - "Do What U Want" Jessie J featuring Dizzee Rascal & Big Sean - "Wild" Iggy Azalea - "Work" - Truly awful. I'd just about got this out of my head, then this thread comes and sticks it back in Ylvis - "The Fox" - Beyond even truly awful
