Christmas #1?
Corals still make it odds against that the X-Factor winner is the Christmas Number One, so if you're that confident that Cowell's latest puppet will top the charts, go to their site and fill your boots.

Christmas #1?
Most recent odds X-Factor Winner 6-5 Susan Boyle & Elvis Presley 5-1 The Big Reunion 5-1 Lily Allen 14-1 Joe Topping 16-1 Jonathan & Charlotte 16-1 One Direction 16-1 Richard & Adam 20-1 JLS 25-1 Rihanna 25-1 Adele 33-1 Bruno Mars 33-1 Robbie Williams 33-1 A number of others are quoted at higher odds, or by only one bookie at present so their odds maynot be representative. Kelly Clarkson not even mentioned.

Christmas #1?
It's coming to something when a doctored duet between Susan Boyle & Elvis Presley promises to be better than the X-Factor winner.

Song censorship
It's not the censorship that makes any differnece to me, it's the constant stream of expletives and racial-based terminology that some artists use in virtually every song that make me less likely to buy their music (most recent major example - Drake). Not that I'm the target audience for those artists of course.

Do we need an update every time that Rudimental track moves up one or two places?

"Bad Romance" was, and still is, a dreadful song. And I'm not saying that as a Gaga "hater" - "The Edge Of Glory" is probably among my top few tracks of the last five years. And yes to the "image over substance" type comments due to the stupid costumes at times, but remember half the reason Britney Spears became a big name back in 1999 was dressing up as a sexy schoolgirl for people to perv over. Anyway, too far off topic now. Back to itunes charts. Mariah Carey's Christmas staple now inside top 250, 200 or so places ahead of the Pogues & Kirsty. Wham! as noted yesterday beginnng to appear inside top 1500 along with Band Aid, plus Justin Bieber's "Mistletoe"

The X Factor · Guest Performances
She's got an excellent voice but the material (at least the English language material) is very samey. I've got the CD of "All The Way...." but very rarely play it all the way through, three or four songs at a time is enough for me.

The Book of British Hit Singles returns
It can't have been released on 1/1/42 - the first version wasn't even recorded until March that year with the version we are now familiar with coming from a March 1947 recording session.

Same title, different songs in the Top 2 / 3 / w/e
Which 2 were exactly the same recording? Was one of them the one that entered the Top 100 but not the Top 75? (I think I only have the 6 in the top 75 - Loreen Harris, Icona Pop featuring Charli XCX, New Music Masters, Venus Palermo, Remix Chix, Remix Junkies

Instant Grats Discussion
It's not between the OCC and the retailers, the rules are clear and if the record companies deliberately decide to strategise around these rules then the prime ones to blame for the current situation (if even you think there's a real issue out there) are the record companies.

They're both in the 600s. We've already had one Christmas song reach about 170 (although now it's dropped down). Anyone know what it is?
