  1. The middle 8 / key change towards the end of BTMYH is a MOMENT. Whilst yes, there is some nostalgia attached the song, for me it still stands up with the rest of her earlier classics. I love it because it's so simple, it relies more on her singing as opposed to the production.
  2. !!! 'Like A Virgin / Hollywood' would be fabbb, would it be allowed?
  3. hella catchy song, the chorus is a bit of a let down. Whilst i'm extremely intrigued by this whole campaign - she really is insufferable. i've never particularly warmed to her as an artist, apart from 'i knew you were trouble' and 'style'. I feel like this whole campaign is to shatter the illusion of her being some kind of victim. It's like a self created / self aware "look at me i've reached rock bottom - i'm a bitch really". To then either come back with another album seeking 'Redemption' or weave a whole narrative through this campaign to come back out as the sweet Taylor swift from years ago. it all reeks of an extremely calculated scripted PR stunt akin to the 180 on the public perception of Justin Bieber / Chris Brown.
  4. 'Hold It Against Me' AGAIN. I cannot at 'Lucky' leaving and only coming 17th :( Three of my favs leaving in a row and please don't make it a fourth with 'Born To Make You Happy' :(
  5. rip </3 I0UbWu_ezcI can you all stop targeting 'born to make you happy' - it's such a gem. :( 'Hold It Against Me' - again.
  6. "oh it's beautiful! but wait a minute, isn't this...?" "yeah, yes it is" "but i thought the old lady dropped it into the ocean in the end?" "well baby, i went down and got it for you" "aww, you shouldn't have" CduA0TULnow 'Oops!...' has one of Britney's most iconic / ridiculous middles 8s in her back catalogue.. if not of all time! I think you could say "but i thought the old lady dropped it into the ocean in the end" and get the response of "well baby, I went down and got it for you" from 85% of anyone you meet. I think I do this at least a couple of times a month in my daily life. Whilst I do love 'Oops!...', and it's iconic status as one of her defining hits won't really ever fade, it's not one of my personal FAVES. My question to you all is: WOULD 'OOPS!...' HAVE THE ICONIC STATUS ITS HAD FOR ALL THESE YEARS, IF THE OLD LADY DIDN'T DROP IT INTO THE OCEAN IN THE END? WHAT WOULD 'OOPS!...' BE WITHOUT THAT MIDDLE 8? A STOMPING POP SONG YES, BUT WOULD IT BE A BRIT SIGNATURE SONG? GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE USE OF THE TITANIC REFERENCE? LOVE IT, HATE IT?
  7. seriously, 'Overprotected' going already?! so sad to see MATM, BTMYH and Lucky all looking like they're going soon :( they're all top ten worthy!
  8. 'Beat of My Drum' and '3 Words' to winnnn
  9. FINALLY, someone else who loves 'Me Against The Music'!! One of her very best.
  10. 1:16 gets me EVERYTIME i watch the 'Sometimes' video !! Sad it's gone already. Hold It Against Me.
  11. ohhh it's 100% TTWE >>>>> HIAM i think HIAM is the weak link now. Poor brave 'Sometimes' :(
  12. So difficult now, I went with 'Hold It Against Me' - but not even sure if it's my least favourite. wahhh
  13. Which begs the question, why wasn't it the lead! Would have sold so much more. And probably help the album sell a lot more than it did too.
  14. I think this really needed to be THAT era when she actually returned to form. The use of 'Britney's back, better than ever' was used for far too many album launches - especially for Femme Fatale. There were glimmers of that spark being there, but overall the whole campaign was lacklustre. I finally got to see her live on this tour, and as much as i absolutely loved every minute, performance wise she just wasn't there. I think overall, singles etc. (minus the switch of HIAM / TTWE) - the era wasn't handled that terribly, but her heart wasn't it. This album could have been a pretty big campaign if she had the fire she has now. She even released FOUR singles, which (exlcuding the whole 'Circus' / 'Radar' situation) hadn't happened since.. 'Britney'? 'How I Roll' should have been a single as well.
  15. Just watched the video! my goddddd - that is the video it needed.
  16. For some reason my laptop won't play the video :( If TTWE had launched Femme Fatale, i think it would have been huge!! It stuck around in the UK, but with the push of being the comeback song, i think it would have far outperformed 'Hold It Against Me' (as much as i love HIAM) as the lead. She should have released a video with both Ke$ha and Nicki for the remix too, both were doing pretty big things in the UK / globally at the time. Subsequently i think it would have put her in a better place, with later releases from Femme Fatale. 'I Wanna Go' would have done much better. 'Criminal' is filmed in the UK (just need some kind of promotion!) In turn I think this would have helped 'Work Bitch' / 'Britney Jean', i certainly think she'd still be in the realm of getting playlisted radio-wise.
  17. and they're not even the best five on the album!! yaaaassss @ 'Cinderella' and 'Bombastic Love' being the top two after the singles
  18. MAKE ME. Overprotected cannot go yet!!!
  19. 'Toy Soldier' should have been released, after BTI of course
  20. no more sad songs, it's getting difficult now.
  21. yeah it's not her best, but her voice is so nice to listen to so it's growing on me. 'king of hearts' is still perfection <3 probably one of my favourite songs of all-time.
  22. omg that choreography  the first couple were amaaazing <3 THAT would be a beaut video <3 - What would you have chosen as the single to be the 'to be continued' for the actual video??
  23. I listened to 'Womanizer' instrumental last night and fell in love with the song again. I thought it'd be one that'd be close to getting my vote on here soon, but that instrumental is <33
