I think it would debut top 5 in the USA. And that's with a very aggressive promo plan on radio and streaming sites. Sales would be the reason it propelled to the top 5. Britney and Rihanna still possess the album buying generation, especially Britney for the fact of her debuting in 98. With the video premiering the following week I see it definitely going top 3. #1 if a streaming juggernaut like 'Despacito' wasn't breaking records. After that peak to possibly #1 it would stabilize in the lower middle top ten. After the VMA performance about 2-3 weeks later we'd see it rebound to top 3. UK I'd say about the same thing, just drop about 4-6 positions. Possibly #1 with a killer performance at EMA's, with the hope that it has built nicely up to the top ten on streaming.

Her as an artist, as a performer, as an icon, as a legendary dancer. All because of this era.

Charts are relevant to me to a certain extent. I want something to be successful enough to give more room for future singles, besides that... Well, I'd like for this to blow her peers out of the water as I find her substantially better. I want a single that's amazing on its own merit, not controversy. I feel as if I've sided with her on every "feud", so with that being said I'd love to see her kill it without even paying them attention. Something as euphoric as 'New Romantics' but with the adult appeal she showcased on her duet with Zayn.

Shake It Off. Such a feel good song. It's what made me warm up to her, tbh. That being her personality, which is what encourages me to buy albums. It was a perfect combination with 'Blank Space' being the second single. Which is her best single for me along with 'New Romantics'.

It's seen as the most impressive video in both artists repertoire for years. MATM IS SO UNDERRATED. Everywhere. The beat is so 'Britney' era meeting 'In The Zone' and more urban influences, it provided a perfect gap in sound for that mature sound she was about to lay on us in 2003. Those drums that dominate behind the guitar is fire, almost tying you into toxic for the second single. Their voices together are magical. But, so is her voice with every collaboration on this album. The male collars make this album more approachable for a non fans imo.

This album is so important to me. Like, I can't even explain how much it means to me. It is definitely one of my favorite albums of all time. Even out doing some of my favorite work by Britney. Seriously flawless inside and out. To have such a fitting narrative in such a dark time it's just… It makes me speechless
