I reckon it might go top 175. I think her comeback has been extremely weak but she's been lucky to have signed up to the "Jingle Bell Ball" which guarantees airplay on Capital and The Hit Music Network. I can't say I'd be too disappointed to lose Anastacia from the charts however. She's had her day in the sun now, it's time to move over - she wasn't especially good in the first place.

As I said - some really interesting additions from Fresh this week. They're the first UK radio station to playlist Jem's comeback and they have jumped in with The Killers' new tune and Lily Allen's comeback before anyone else. Great to see debut UK playlists for Noisettes and Johnny Foreigner as well. They also beat Radio 1 to Fe-Nix, Franz Ferdinand and Ida Maria.

The idea is definitely to keep only the freshest new music on the playlist.

Funny to see so much negative feedback. I think this is the best tune they've done since "About You Now" - although the offerings in between have been, admittedly, very poor.

 It's not even out yet...! Actually, it looks like it might do quite well - doing well on airplay at least. I would imagine it's actually been slightly more popular than "Boyfriend".

The new tune, "Dog Days Are Over" is awesome. Jay Jay Pistolet's new tune is also quirky, original and very catchy.

I have to say that this is, again, not vintage Oasis - another fairly bland tune. I can't see it making major inroads into the charts.

Let's get out there and make The Killers number one!

You're welcome. I'm not sure if anyone has heard either Florence & The Machine or Jay Jay Pistolet yet, but they're two awesome acts - both worthy of checking out.

I wouldn't bet against a shock number one for it.

A hit music radio station for the UK. Fresh 40 is an affiliate I believe; but the output on Fresh 40 is entirely different to Fresh Radio - Fresh 40 is an RnB/dance basec chart, whereas Fresh Radio is all hit music/new music with a rocky edge, I think it would be fair to say.

I always feel as though Radio 1 could learn a thing or two from Fresh's playlisting.

That would be odd considering that Hit40UK completely mullers the official chart show on radio every Sunday afternoon - despite reaching much less of the British population.

I think there are some songs out on "Future release - tba" list sometimes that never actually are released.

Definitely would've re-released "Fantastic 6" if I were them. Having said that, I quite like this song - possibly moreso than "Boyfriend". I'd say top 20 probably.

It's always my favourite playlist actually.

I went for the far superior Pink. The Saturdays are under huge pressure at the moment because Universal USA want to push the new American band "Anything But Monday". For some reason they want to release them in the UK first. Universal UK, however, are adamant that they aren't released at the moment because they would clash with current act The Saturdays, who have been pushed big time by Universal UK.

Erm...that's only the A-List of Galaxy's playlist. Here are the B and C lists: Sugababes Girls Beyonce If I Were A Boy T.I Ft Rihanna Livin Your Life Jordin Sparks Ft Chris Brown No Air Jay Sean Tonight (Full Phat Mix) The Killers Human Lemar If She Knew Taio Cruz /Sugababes She’s Like A Star Katy Perry Hot N Cold Kanye West Love Lockdown Britney Womaniser C List Artist Title Basshunter All I Ever Wanted (Fonzerelli Mix) Ting Tings Be The One (Bimbo Jones Edit) Craig David Insomnia Usher Moving Mountains(Full Phat Remix) Duffy Rain On Your Parade Sneaky Sound System Ufo Gym Class Heroes Cookie Jar Nas Ft Keri Hilson Hero Akon Right Now (Na Na Na) The Saturdays Up Girls Aloud The Promise Guru Josh Project Infinity 2008 Chris Brown Ft Keri Hilson Superhuman Anastacia I Can Feel You (Fp Mix) I'm not a massive fan of Galaxy but what's happening is that their owners, Global Radio, having just acquired G-Cap Media, are trying to move all the stations towards a similar music strategy. Hence you'll see that overall (apart from Glaxy's use of remixes) Capital and Galaxy's playlists will be very similar in the future.
