  1. I am collecting singles of Amy Winehouse, and while the "Back to Black" ones are easy to obtain, the "Frank" ones seem to be hard to find - even on Amazon and EBay. I have seen "F**k me pumps" on sale for as high as £187!! No single is worth that much I may say, so I have come to ask two questions: 1) Is there any other outlet I can find any? 2) Were they a limited release hence the chart positions in the 50s and 60s?
  2. I thought she was on the dole now with four kids! :D I am a cruel sod ;) on the other hand, I can't see this making an impact.

What a load of rubbish indeed. How the hell have bland acts like Coldplay and Duffy got more nominations? When is the Coldplay backclash going to start? X-Factor up for an award! Simon Cowell will obviously fix that public vote. As for the host choices...bar Kylie, the other two are just silly away from Gavin and Stacey! I can see a 1989 scenario happening between the three.
  4. #4 I am glad now the girls have finally got their faces recognised with the success of "Issues" and may it continue :)
  5. I think people are too hyper sensitive nowdays as everything is deemed racist. OK, Harry made a mistake but he was only a young lad at the time. Thats usually typical behaviour for someone that age. It's not as if he went up to someone in the street and called them that? As long as the N word and P word aren't used towards Black and Asian people face to face and is said in private then it's fine.

Both great songs :) I remember hearing somewhere the lead of IIO was Osama Bin Laden's niece? Is that true?
  7. Kim Wilde - "Time" - only made #71 in June 1990. Should have been a big hit: _okMssFjMLU
  8. The Promise 2 The Loving Kind 11 Rolling Back The Rivers In Time 9 Love Is The Key 7 Turn To Stone 8 Untouchable 9 Fix Me Up 8 Love Is Pain 5 Miss You Bow Wow 8 Revolution In The Head 9 Live In The Country 8 We Wanna Party 8
  9. 01-12. Robbie Williams - Feel 02-10. Liberty X. - Holding On For You 03-13. Girls Aloud - Sound Of The Underground 04-08. Blue & Elton John - Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word 05-13. Daniel Bedingfield - If You're Not The One + 06-11. Love Inc. - You're A Superstar 07-11. Sugababes - Stronger 09-19. Pink - Family Portrait 10-02. Avril Lavigne - Sk8er Boi -
  10. The Feeling shouldnt have flopped. I quite enjoyed their second album, but I think the singles weren't promoted or commercial enough to be hits which is a huge shame. Makes me mad twats like Coldplay are big with dross :(
  11. Bad news. It's their best single and I feel this should be #1. I dont know how "The Promise" made #1, because it's so cheap! I think thanks to Mr Cowell it got a helping hand. "Out of Control" is a great album, but it was a big mistake releasing the weakest track off there as the lead single.

It shows no-one likes him, and he was never going to have a lasting career anyway.
  13. 01-7. Take That - Patience 02-5. Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars 04-7. Scissor Sisters - I Don't Feel Like Dancin' 05-4. The Kooks - She Moves In Her Own Way - 06-11. The Feeling - Love It When You Call + 07-6. Nelly Furtado - All Good Things (Come To An End) 08-4. James Morrison - Wonderful World 09-6. Pink - U & Ur Hand
  14. Emperors of Soul would give us another 25th place even with a Lloyd Webber song. This contest is incompatiable for them. Mark - Sexy as hell and a good voice. The Twins - The best choice in my opinion for the UK. Charlotte - Her voice hurts my hymen and it's another Duffy (zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz) Damien - Please. He is full of arrogance and is NOT a good singer. Jade - Seems OKish.

Agree with all of those. Especially that Ting Tings song - It seems having an accent helps - I should make money with limited talent singing in my Brummie twang.

Series 2 The show wasnt a media whore extravaganza like it is now. The standard of entry was high (bar Addictiv Ladies, Chico and Andy) and a great winner. Series 1 and 3 come close - even if both had a lot of bland acts. Series 4 was OK, but this is where I lost faith in the show with that tool winning. This years - I gave up after the 2nd live show.

Spin off from the flop thread. Which songs do you think were overrated in the charts? Mine are: Alexandra Burke - Hallelujah X-Factor Finalists - Hero Leon Jackson 2nd single All did well because of Simon Cowell manipulating the chart. With Leon, I think help from Scotland. Can't Cowell drop dead, retire? Coldplay - Viva La Vida Pompous arses who make depressing music. Britney Spears - Womaniser I think this did well due to the negative attention. Duffy - Warwick Avenue A dreary overplayed song. Girls Aloud - The Promise An awful song! If it wasnt for the X-Factor performance it would have been #8. Thank God they've picked up with "The Loving Kind" I could go on, but thats left for yous to decide ;)
  18. BWO - Lay your Love On Me - The perfect pop song.
  19. Alphabeat - Boyfriend - That was a summer smash in the making! OK it made #15 but it should have been #1! Madonna - Miles Away - I still don't understand this Will Young - Grace - I don't understand this either. Avenue - Last Goodbye - A top 10 hit in the making. Obviously Take That and Boyzone are the cooler boybands. Revelations - It's You - The song that we should have sent to Belgrade. Didnt this make the 100s in the chart? One Republic - Mercy - Suffered to some idotic stations playing "Apogloise" Annie - I know ur girlfriend hates me - If sung by Girls Aloud, this would have been a #1. By Annie - flop Duffy - Rain On Your Parade - Way better than "Mercy" and the puke inducing "Warwick Avenue" I can safely say Mariah deserved her flops. She's not the singer she was back in the 90s. She's like nearly 40 and dresses like a trollope! Surely she needs to mature, not try and be "cool".

  24. I remember the Faders - wasn't one of them Midge Ure's daughter? Their first single wasn't bad, and they did have potential. LoveBites - WTF! Were they even for real? I remember a fuss being made on our regional news about one member as she came from Coventry. Phixx's Album - "Electrophonic Revolution" http://www.sendspace.com/file/9lv91q
