  1. Some Mitchell stuff coming up - intrigued as to why a certain someone is helping the other person >

Elsewhere, Danny sabotages a pump at The Vic in a bid to help Peggy; Roxy's left to clean up the mess; when Danny returns from lunch with Peggy, it's clear that Roxy's beginning to crack under the pressure; Peggy realises that she has a new ally in Danny; Roxy relents and eventually asks Peggy for help; and Danny manages to convince Roxy to keep The Queen Vic bust on the bar.

Still scheming with Peggy, Danny tries to persuade Roxy to buy Booty, the closed-down salon once run by Tanya, in the opening visit of the week to Walford.

Jumping at the bait, Roxy rushes in only to find herself competing against a rival bidder.

Things heat up at the auction in tonight's episode of the long-running drama as Roxy goes well over budget in her determination to outbid her rival for the Booty salon.

  2. Oo so it's Billy! Liked his scenes with Carol.

Ugh at the 90 second scene featuring the Jeremy Kyle rejects :puke2: That Kylie creature makes me feel physically ill.

Mr Allcock had fun tonight. Zsa Zsa the Giant doing what she does best. Nothing much ;)

And Melissa again coming across very well. I like pregnant Lucy!

  3. SPOILERS in this new casting news.

Former Hollyoaks actor Marc Silcock has joined the ranks of Emmerdale, Digital Spy can exclusively reveal.

The 21-year-old - who portrayed schizophrenic Newt's imaginary alter-ego Eli on and off between 2008 and 2009 - takes on the role of Jackson Walsh, a potential new love interest for sexually confused mechanic Aaron Livesy (Danny Miller).

At the end of last year, Aaron's world was thrown into turmoil when he made a pass at his best friend Adam Barton (Adam Thomas) following a car accident. With villagers gossiping about his true sexuality, Aaron was forced to try to cover his tracks and embarked on a relationship with Adam's sister Holly (Sophie Powles).

In the coming weeks, though, Aaron panics when his cover story Holly ends their relationship. On a night out with Eli (Joseph Gilgun), Aaron is tempted to visit a gay bar. When he eventually plucks up the courage to go inside, he's taken aback when Jackson takes an interest in him.

Speaking of Jackson's arrival in the village, Emmerdale series producer Gavin Blyth told DS: "Like Aaron, Jackson's a very contemporary gay character - he's not a stereotype. He's someone who exists in his own right in the world because of who he is - not what he is in terms of his sexuality. We've got to realise that for everything that Aaron's fighting, if he's ever going to let anyone in, it's going to be someone he can relate to.

"I also stated from the outset that I wanted Aaron's tale to be a very modern story of someone not only wrestling with their sexuality but also loathing himself at times for it and (wrongly) fearing other people judging him. If we're to play a relationship of any sense as Aaron moves forward, I want it to be a very real one, not based on clichés or stereotypes."

He continued: "And as, when and if the relationship goes anywhere, it's paramount that both characters can ultimately continue to drive the story beyond that of their sexuality."

Meanwhile, speaking of his casting, Silcock said: "I've always been a fan of Emmerdale, so I'm thrilled to be joining the cast. Jackson will play a big part in Aaron's journey and I'm so pleased to be involved in this story."

  4. Release date pushed back to April 5th.

    BBC 5:19 Show performance:

  5. I'd quite happily see Leon packed off. Normally I think characters should be given time to settle in, but like I said earlier, EE has an overload of teen at the moment and could do with ditching a few,

especially with ANOTHER one on the way with Mercy returning full-time.

And she was the 2nd best of the bunch, which doesnt say much tbh. Keep Zsa Zsa, sort the character out, but dump the rest.

  6. Not much to say about tonights ep.

I'm now proper bored of Zsa Zsa and Leon. Zsa Zsa needs more scenes with Shirley but I am bored of her now tbh.

Whitney and Binnit are as tedious as ever.

Credit to Mel tonight, I thought she was great :)

  7. Corrie writer Daran Little is joining Eastenders. Also wrote for Hollyoaks. This must be one of Bryan Kirkwoods first hirings. He got keys to the EP office today :D

Looks like some of that amazing Corrie humour ;) is coming to Albert Square!

    Oh and on EE/Corrie:

CORONATION Street has suffered a snub after missing out on a nomination for the prestigious Royal Television Society programme awards.

EastEnders, The Bill and Casualty will fight it out for the soap and continuing drama gong on 16 March 16.

The setback comes after Corrie took the best soap prize at the National Television Awards in January - beating EastEnders for the first time since 2004.

    Fingers crossed for EE :w00t:

  8. Thinking about it EE have been clever with their choices for nominations.

Putting Sam up against Lacey splits the vote - reducing chances of winning for both. This basically guarantees EE fans will vote for Lacey.

Likewise I presume they want Adam to get our actor votes? I can't quite fathom that one lol. Surely Jake would have been a cert to get votes.

  9. I really like the sound of that new casting / Pat and Peggy running opposite one another!

This is how I voted in the soap awards:

Sexiest Male · Marc Elliot (Syed EE) · Hardly much choice though and you know they're desperate when the likes of Christian and Cain are in there!

Sexiest Female · Sam Womack (Ronnie EE) · I so nearly went for Preeya Kalidas though and Charley Webb (Debbeh) deserves a few votes too!

Villain · Archie Mitchell EE · It could only be serial liar, rapist, unborn baby killer Archie couldn't it?

Best Actor · Danny Miller (Aaron ED) · The EE noms are actually laughable! Where is Jake Wood? Steve McFadden too...

Best Acress · Lacey Turner (Stacey EE) · Nobody else deserves a look-in. I laughed out loud when I saw Helen Worth's name there!

Best Soap · Eastenders · Obviously.

Yea I so didn't vote for John :kink:

Sexiest Female - I did go Preeya

Villian - same, Archie - three great EE choices

Actor - strange one, I think they want Adam to win but I actually voted Nitin

Actress - no contest, but seriously Babs over Sam?! WTF?!

Soap - Corrie. Oh wait it's not worst soap award. EE then :kink:

  10. May 2nd? If the election is on that day, everyone will be focusing on the election instead of the single!! Not a good time to release a single I think...

    Do you agree?

UK election likely to be May 6th and tbh I really dont think it'll make much difference :kink:
