Actually i am not sure if i will like it or not. He wrote some songs for other people lately and i was not impressed (i call them "second hand songs" - similar to Gary's input for other not so well known artists). And not even Depeche Mode or REM, who are my most beloved bands, have every album on my taste. I do hope if the album is electric that it will be stripped down as that was my main problem with Progress : too noisy, too much sound, too many things going on the same time. I like more clear. Perhaps that is way that Pretty things was one of my favs on the album. So much going on worked well on The Circus, because it was brass and violins and they work mixed much better than electro mixed with all possible instruments.

Well Mark was in TT all the time weil Robbie was out for some tours, isn't it? If Mark would have had a forum by himself i would have written there and not here, for sure! Plus there are a lot of Robbie fans who are not TT fans and makes the discussion very interesting . As here was a tiiiny discution about Mark, i haven't see the point for you to discuss here your excitment for Robbie when you have do it in better places . But well, no problem, perhaps is still someone not knowing that you don't like Mark's music :angel:

Mayba he is, maybe not, but he has his own forum where you will meet people with whom you cand discuss your excitment.

Well, i am not acustomed with such scala as i am not following the news on many celeb and proms, but everytime TT was in TV they said something about Howard having a girlfriend in Germany or in interviews he said something in german. Robbie is known as Robbie, Gary as a respectable songwriter, Mark , well, was Mark. Only Jason is not very well known outside the fan circle. And to put it like that: while TT is here not fashionable, at least the name is very well known. Which is a big thing in music industry where every year some comes up and a lot wents down. Well Mark is so friendly to everybody that he made a little bit of friends, i suppose. Nonetheless i cannot underdstand why i should know how many woman one popstar beds or if he cheats his woman. This is their family-problem, not mine and i will not choose to do soemthing just because a popstar did it. I find so stupid this "role model" story. They get popularity for being popstars or film-stars and not saints. Gary has as well a lot of friends in the press especially the mighty Gordon form TheSun :lol: . Word of the mouth is that alledgedly also about him were some stories but that he had the jurists do some work. If these rumours are true, i cannot say or judge and actually i don't care :lol: . Actually Howard is not so unknown in Germany. he had for a long time a german friend and was a lot in Germany and he got a little press for himself here. He also makes his DJ-Job in Germany a lot. The only "unknown" is Jason.

Nope, sorry :huh: . I even live in Germany where he is very loved, but i think when there are tons of CDs every year if you don't look for something you will hardly remember how it looks.

I liked the BW one, but The Circus not so much. I have the german version of HTMF; may it be that it has another artwork? And another booklet? I liked the retro vibe from it . And IYOT had his picture mainly, but the background worked well with the messages of his songs inside. I don't know how Robbie's CD artwork is, so i cannot compare with him...

Somehow the artwork from MO albums are more interesting that the new TT albums. I liked very much the one from How The Mighty Fall... And i find The Progress very weak in the artwork.

Happy he get recognition and it may not be bad for TakeThat to be a little bit more in the spotlight. But actually, i am against such cheese TV. Not liked when Gary do it, not liked when Mark do it (brrrr), so i am not over the moon here either. But i think he doesn't have so much to choose from like Gary, so he has from me a little more patience and good will :lol: . Beside, hís twitter is very funny, i hope he will be as a judge funny as well and not so pompous like Gary *ducks and runs* .

The things go very slowly if the song is released this week . It screams flop all over it if we judge only from the chart and sales. But i don't care. He has to know by now that he will flop, so if he does something he does it becouse he likes to do it, so i can be happy that i will get something new from him. I find the title of the album very tongue in cheek, i like it.I hope i will like his new music direction, i was not very happy with Progress, i like other kind of electronic music (like DM oder Erasure). As the manager of TT is the manager of Mark's solo days and Mark friend, i don't think he need the "bless" of noone to make something solo. From all four,right from the beginning, Mark was the only to say that he will make solo work further, so i am sure he knew what to write in his contracts. Ah, and he was already cowroting stuff and make a charity song already without the help of the mighty Gary, so what is the outcry here? Gary may have influence, but he is not the master of TT, the other three are free to use their heads. And no, Gary should not write stuff for Mark, oh dear, isn't enough that he writes for Robbie (*shrugs at Candy* ; the 2 songs Gary cowrote for Mark were some of the weakest on his second album, so , please, no! Gary have enough publicity-hungry artists who wants to bragg with his name) ? Actually, the old friends of Mark , Ben Mark and Jamie Norton, with whom Mark wrote many times, even on The Circus and Progress, are in his team for the solo album - this makes me more sure about the quality he might come with. About the producers i don't know what they done before and the mixing team worked for Coldplay. At this moment i don't care if TT remains togheter or not, the egos are to big for my liking, Gary alienated for me totally, not keen on the direction of The Progress, not keen on Robbie releases and Gary imputs for other artists, not keen on over the top stadion tours, so i am not very interested in what they might come up next time. Why should they not remain togheter for the money? At the end of the day we all get to work for the money, what is bad about it?, at least TT is miles better than X-factor things and fake charities outings... :lol: . I really cannot understand the so -called TT fans that are so much in fear about the quality of Mark works but keep raving about every little boring songs about Gary didn't care to make it better for other artists ? There are a lot of artists who makes work outside their trade-mark band and no-one got so much negativity than Mark. At the end of the day, if Mark woudn't have been interested in music, Gary would have been waited and waited for a reunion, as he tried before to make TT reunite (if we believe what is written in Feel, it was Mark against reuniting without Robbie for some time). Can you imagine TT only with Gary, Jason and Howard would have worked? As i said, i don't care how much Mark will sell and how much TT fans will feel that he tarnished the so good name of TT because his songs would be somewhere in the low 500 chart of itunes. If all that matter for TT fans is chart success and good reviews and nice articles in Daily Mail and The Sun, well , good that i am not a fan and not to be mixed with such a lot. If i will like the music and he deliveres some quality music, i will be happy. But i am not someone to put = between quality and chart success and sales. I let the young ones to die with fear about it.

How about just for fun? It is not like he is poor and needs the money or that he has not enough fame and needs more. Not all in Take That are after the fame and money, you know, especially now as they have a lot in comparation with tausends of artists? Howard is happy with his DJ-ing and producing some songs, Jason, who knows, so why should be Mark like Robbie and Gary after massive exposure, sell and fame? If you want to sell you must make it popular nowadays, there are a lot of artists who likes better to make the record they want and not the record the management wants :lol: . Perhaps he likes more the creative part of the process, the rumours are that he have made other albums he didn't published, so digital or not, on his own website or itunes, i don't care. I am just curious with what sound he cames (it seems it is dance, after twitter of the mixing team), the rest is of no importance for me. Not to keen on the "dance" idea, hope is not Progress reloaded, that album is my last TT fav album, is just too busy and going nowhere and the overproduction goes on my nerves. Now The Circus direction :w00t: I still hope Mark would go for theater /West End / film music someday, i think he have good talent for it (he had already made music for a one-man-show, but i didn't get to hear it).

It is Robbie, is no 1. :lol: Especially if he goes on tour. Why the hell he doesn't search for a solid songwriter to back him? He might be good at lyrics, but he will not remain trendy in this style. He will still have his top 5 singles, but i am afraid after one year hardly anyone apart from his fans will hear these songs -_- . Does he want to be the next Cliff Richard or what? If a no-name would have released this song, I am not sure it would have gone in top 10 ... The song is not strong enough to remain in heads as "it was on the radio as i get married / finish school "-type of song. IMO should have been only 30 sec long would have been better, after that is only repetitive and the lyrics are too "busy" apart from the refrain. I dread to hear this song in german radio a couple of times each day . Someone compared with RDJ, that is one of the few song i instantly liked, as it was really ironic and epic in video. This is just a pink pale version of it :lol: . No special orchestration, nothing to put him apart of other songs of this kind. It is catchy till annoyance and that is all.

I think this sad news need a thread of their own and don't be mixed with trivial discussion. I feel for Dawn especially... I am going now through a rough preganancy myself and i can feel how difficult it is. RIP little baby. There is nothing one can say to comfort the Barlow family. I hope the media will have the decency to let them alone!

It is obviuosly: his style was too different and his fans were at that moment too conservative in their expectation. His style is all together very different from TT style, more daring, more going for not very popular choices, not as MOR as TT are. Still now there are only small part of TT fans who really apreciate his style , so i don't see that changing in the future. Actually, i don't think he will release anything with chart options, to keep the TT fans happy that no failure will tarnish their pretty image about TT achievings :rolleyes: . For me, i am more bothered reading that he works with Cole producer, as i was hoping for something more edgy and not so MOR and i was hoping he will take the same producer from HTMF era. I do not thing that electro-pop should be his way, but i let myself surprised... He has many unreleased songs, apparently a full album was ready before Four minutes warning, but was not published, for not being friendly enough. Some songs, you might find her and there scatered as pre-production songs on the internet. I still hope he will go sometimes in the future for film music or theater music (he done it before for a one man show performance, for example). He has great taste in orchestration, he can cover different music styles, so i see him going better in the instrumental direction. But as he hasn't asked me about my precious oppinion, low chance that he will thing about it by himself :lol: .

I hope for something in the line of How the mighty fall. This album is one of the few i enjoy every song on it. That was done for me only by Cat Stevens before. I hope he will use some ideas from the orchestration of his songs on The Circus, i adore the choose of the instruments there. And i hope he takes once again the producer from HTMF. True, there is totally another feeling than on TT albums, his solo songs are seldom for stadions, but more for intimate small gigs. Aside of this article, and while the Sun seems to be very well informed about TT, i don't think too much he will go solo with an entire album. He has not even an internet presence, no facebook, no twitter, no webside. That doesn't scream to me " i am here!". But we will live and see.

I am sure that apart in what projects Gary or Mark are involved, TT would not release this year an album. This would go head to head with Robbie's album and i am pretty sure all want to avoid it.
