  1. Tarnish TT? Only for brainless fans , who judges only in chart position and like only those who have success and for those taking their musical knowlege and opinion from TheSun and Daily Mail. The real quality music is not done to be No 1 in chart. If that comes is an added bonus, but is not the main idea. Mark started the project TT2 saying from the beginning he will continue with his solo work. I really don't care what Gary does and his kissing the ass of Simon has done more damage to me liking TT, as any chart flop would do. I would have preffered 100 more times that Gary would do music, real good music, than all this X-factor. I am sure Mark knows he will not have succes, his style is not for the masses. He has his niche, he is happy about it and that should be real music about. About being with your heart in it, truthfull to it. He has not made a bond for his life and after his life with TT to be worried on tarnishing the mighty, great, extraordinary TT legacy. Let me laugh here! Take a look at the chart positions in UK of Leonard Cohen, one of the great contemporan songwriter . Do you think he fall flat? That he tarnished something?

The video of Zaleihlah is sooo cheap :arrr: . I am not very convinced on the song, is a disco one, how will fare live and for the juries... I don't think it would be top 10 at Eurovision.
  3. Have you read my mind? This is exactly what i thought! No other celebrity songwriter would have been forgotten by the media all the flops, beginning with Britannia High and all the songs he wrote for his pals, excluding Robbie and Peter Kay (i still thing that Robbie's songs with Gary were bland and innofensive, I like only Peter Kay song). I think that the singers know that the songs are boring but they get media attention, more than writting with a good, but not a media darling, songwriter. This is naturally not the case of Robbie, as he make enough media news by himself. For Robbie this album would be very important for his career, if he will turn in someone not cool enough anymore or in an icon. He sooo shoudn't go on the hand of Gary. And Gary should give less songs to other people and only choosen very carefully. Is he so sure about himself, has he no doubts to give such bland and boring songs to the release and still gush in the media about the great masterpiece and the super collaboration with the singer? He is not anymore an underground songwriter, he should keep his profile. Less is sometimes more...

Is any romania artist left? It would be interesting to see how Stefan Banica would do, i like his voice (and his father's voice and songs). But i suppose he is too big in Romania and would have only to loose...
  5. And the world would came to the end without Captain Barlow. :teresa: That they refer to Gary as the captain is one and another thing is who wrote the music. He wrotes the song he and Howard sings, and they are most of the times the weakest on the album (IMO). Without the cutting edge of Mark style and the involvement of the other , it would just have been like the songs Gary wrote for the other artists. He is too self-indulged in his song-writing. Take That is for me all four (without counting Robbie, whose heart i don't think to be with TT). WIthout any of them, it won't be TakeThat, may Gary do whatever he likes. For a new album i only hope they will take another producer. Progress didn't do too much for me and i think John SHanks is overrated and succed only to make bland all the acts he has... The Circus was a very good album despite John SHanks and not because him, his style is the Beautiful WOrld one, like he proved doing the producing for Westlife and Bon Jovi (shrugs).
  6. If you really want to compare them here instead of discussing the song: The difference is that one has said he will not do something solo and one has said that he will continue his solo career. I wonder why it took so long, as he had his own fans (which for a matter, are or were not all TT-fans). Do not forget, Mark enterd again in TT directly from his own business, he heasn't waited for Gary to show him the way. The difference is also how they choose to do charity, one with trompets and fanfare and one quiet, but i suppose more people are for the fanfare way. I wound't have written here about Mark supporting the charities, should not have been for the new song (like i said, he supported a lot other small ones, who bareley receive media coverage, apart from a small article in internet).
  7. Mark has sung a new song, The Lantern, at a charity on 16. December. Here is the first part: and here the last part . The background story of the song is given from the poster of the first part of the song on youtube: "Was lucky enough to be there last night. Amazing, beautiful song. Will never forget seeing it ( my wife was an excited amateur backing singer on the chorus). the charity that Mark was supporting is run by a lady who lost her son to myotubular and every year on his birthday, sends a paper lantern to the sky. Mark was so touched by the story, he wrote the song to perform at the concert - " Lantern". Here you can read about the charity and the concert: http://www.myotubulartrust.org/ . ABout the writers of the song is only my supposition that it was written from Mark Owen, Jamie Norton and Ben Mark ( as the last two supported him with the music background). Mark supports a lot of small charities, mainly in the part of Lindon where he lives. For other one he made some pictures, but i think this one os the first where he did a special written song. I suppose this song will be mainly on the liking of those who already likes Mark solo songs. For me, i like it very much. Just a little, powerful song.
  8. I am very sure that he will have at least for the first album an immense success. Success is made also from the media, if they put an "In " or "Out" on him, the public will believe that. As long he will be sustained by the media, he will sell in buckets, specially with a carefully designed releasing and promoting program (i still predict an album out for the mother day). I do not have a problem with his personality. I like a lot of artists, where you can hardly tell something about them as a person (BeGees, for example). My problem with Gary is his songwritting style. This is boring for me (apart some few exceptions). Even when up-beat, i feel that he wrote it as a ballad on his piano and put afterwards the beat, but in his soul has not that beat, so it sounds artificial. And in ballads, he repeats himself, i have very few surprises when i hear his songs, very often they just fly by my ear and i coudnt tell how many songs were... As Westlife, with much more worse music, presentation and personality , succedded to sell so much in UK, i will be surprised if Gary woudnt sell much more. If he will be capable to do a big sell-out tour, this is another question. A small arena tour, yes, for sure. Here could play a bigger role his personality. That Gary is pursuing his interest and his solo ambition was for me very clear, firstly with his mountain climbing, and the last hint with his x-factor judge role (am i allowed to say now: i told you so??? ). It was everything very good planned to achive a lot of good will firstly... In all this story i am only sad that the other three won't get the recognition they deserve. Also, it seams to me that Mark doesn't intent anymore to do something solo (while at the beginning of the reunion, he was very positive about it), he even have not a solo-webpage anymore. I still hope he will get in writing some music for films or musicals, he would have the versatility... the question is , who will give him a chance without the backing of the much more known name of Gary. I think Hoawrd has enough of other hobbies to fell back. Jason remains a mistery, if he wants to do something. I predict the next time we will see Take That would be for Olympics. Let's hope with a new song, released for that, but most probably they will give "Rule the world" and " Greatest day". If Robbie releases in 2012 autumn, TT will never release in the same year, so their pause will be quite long this time. This give a lot of time to Gary to pursue his ambitions.
  9. It sounds like a low-budget Disney film song. I like When we were young a little more.
  10. May i say " i told you so"?: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showb...Xmas-bonus.html The new Dieter Bohlen is here  (whooooaaaaa, i used to like Modern Talking and Blue System actually back in time, so the comparation is for me fit).
  11. Yup, for those taking the time to hear also Mark's solo music (i mean behind his voice if it is not your cup of tea, but the composition, the orchestration and the lyrics), it is after that very clear who is the main influence on which TT song, esp. on Beautiful world and Circus. A lot of songs are the direct follower of mark's solo songs. If we will once have someone with the songwriting talent of Mark, the voice of Gary and the entertainment value of RObbie, this person would be more famous as Michael Jackson for sure  .
  12. Actually i remeber that Gary wrote in his autob. that Shine was Mark and Howard's song- that with the calling between Mark and Gary was on DVD about the longer version of the song on the tour (with adding the part of Mr. Blue). And in the GMTV interview Gary said that they should ask Mark about "Up all night", as he wrote the most of it .
  13. John Shanks was their producer also for the last album. As he was also for Boyzone. That is way i wanted TT to try with a new producer, as the last Boyzone album was a cheap copy of Beautiful World, nice but nothing sparky. I am also not keen on what John Shanks does for other artists like Bon Jovi. For the song i have to hear it first, but i suppose that Gary won't give them a bland song. They really need a good solid song if they want to stay in business. I still wish that Gary would choose more carefully the acts he is writing for.
  14. Is Midsomer Murder the Inspector Barnaby series? I love it  . I actually love good UK crime series, starting with The Saint  . Expecting now the new series of Sherlock Holmes...
  15. Mmmmm, their shouted Back for good rendition was so funny. I want more Robbie+Mark! (but i don't think they will duet as Robbie will promote his new music). Perhaps will be a duet Gary+ Coldplay man? Or Gary+cheryl? Gary should duet with Leona, IMO.
  16. For sure many would thing they try to milk it too much if they release a live-CD one. I love it the Circus one as the versions were quite different from the studio album, but for Progress(ed), if they don't do some other orchestral arrangements, then i won't bother buing one. I don't think Progress offers the same versatility to change as the Circus or Beautiful World did to make a live CD interesting enough. Let's hope the new album will be really with "real instruments", as for the computer tricks they are neither PSB, or DM or Erasure to use the sound rightfully. A full packaged DVD, with commentary as Beautiful World had, would do it for me! (and please please please no ice bads or docus about reunions anymore).
  17. Kath, quick, save this message!   Jay, if you don't understand, just say it you don't understand, don't give the "deluded" and "grow up" finger to me. It is quite easy to lost respect for someone. I also lost halfway for McCartney or for Bono. Still love their music, but some of their actions outside of that are just :puke2: . As well, i might respect someone (as i respected Gary for the matter till some of his recent actions adding with X-Factor the last drop) but not like their music for the toffee. As a child i loved Modern Talking, but now i am judging very hard some actions of Dieter Bohlen, inclusiv the manipulative Germany Idol.
  18. What is he doing now actually? Does he want to release new material?
  19. Send Depeche Mode and Germany will give you 12 points
  20. As much as i don't like Celebrity Big Brother, if Robbie would do it, i would watch it. One can bet it won't be boring  . I have no idea what is "I am a celeb" is the "take me out of here" with eating mice tails and catching spiders?
  21. As X-Factor is now one of the few shows for promoting of singles, they have a lot of artists who will want to perform in first TV audition some new songs. So, apart from final, i don't think they will come. But who knows, perhaps they will do another movie song. For When we were young is already too late.
  22. I don't think we will get a live album this time (we didn't get either for Beautiful world, isn't it?). The autumn will be Robbie's time and i think they will carefully schedule different time for each. But there will be a DVD in time for Christmas. I have to think now if i will want the Progressed or the DVD from Santa. After lacking any promotion for When we were young, i think the era Progress is now ended and they will move forward. I start already to speculate if they remain by this producer or they will look for someone new...
  23. Someone like me? SO you know me personally now? And who started the personal argument? Was not you? In what way were your replays to mine the way forward? Sorry to ask, but which "users" (plural) do you mean? And which and in which way i insulted buzzjack users? Did i write "grow up", "deluded"? Should i search for the messages you wrote to Kath for example? Now, i won't, but you know what i mean. Very nice that you don't want to start an argument now, like i said, please ignore from now on my messages, as it won't be always your opinion.
  24. Gary should have been a judge for The Voice, it sounds to be a much more serious show and be more about really talents as only entertainment. And the X-Factor should have gone to Robbie. I bet his commentary would be much more hilarious than those of Dieter Bohlen on the german idol.
  25. Your offensive answers here to me shows your age... What do you think you will achieve with that? That i will end posting here to please you? As long as i have people with whom i can really discuss also when we have other oppinion i will keep posting. As much as i like. Messages like yours make a disservice to Gary and Take That, did you know that? If you would have been so old as i am, you would have more understanding of the difference between ranting, slating and an oppinion and you wouldn't get to the throat of the people thinking in other way as you.
