As for flopping in Europe: well, at least they tryed. Sometimes it payes of, sometimes not. Their music is still here in the radio and as background music in TV a lot, and from that they win also money. Take a look at Razorlight, their flop song "Wire to wire" in UK is on the german Itunes in top 10. You cannot always say if it will work or not. But TT handle this time professional, they came to promote the album and single, so for me i am quite content. If they would make a tour next year scaled down, for our market, i will be also very pleased! It is up to them if they make music to pleased the masses and to sell millions or if they make music because they are musician and they love to do it. Sometimes success is not everything. Not when you pay by selling your soul to the business god. I think they have won a lot of money, so they can allow themselves to do music because of the music. If they give me an album strong in quality, evolving and challanging like the Circus, i will be very happy. Regardless if Uk likes it or Germany likes it. regardless how many albums they sold. In fact are a lot of artists who sell loads and i don't care any second for them, artists with a song a like, but not enough to buy a whole album. I like TT music not because their success, so it is egal what they do in charts and how loved are from other - as long as i like the music they make. I learned my lesson with UAN of being disspointed because of charts. When i look what a lot of crap music is in top 40 and what fine songs are outside, it is quite ok how UAN did. I wanted more as it is a very good song, but if it didn't worked, well, it didn't. I still love my UAN from my whole heart and i am sure i will still love it in 10 years. We should not forget that there are a lot of artists on the market who don't have not at least 10 % from success of TT. That says not a thing about the quality of the music, but about the right image and marketing success. If i like a song, i liked it and basta! Sometimes my love for a song increase in time, but never goes back. So my oppinion about the quality of The Circus remain , regardless if it will sell more or less than BW.

I hope Depeche will stay in Top 40. On Itunes it seema it flops :( .

I was not very keen on the podcasts, so for me another documentary with more information about what they think about their music please: i know more about it seeing the last interview from Mark as from that postcasts :lol: . As the official videos are all away from youtube, i will be happy to have them on a delue CD (ok, i am not so keen on The Garden and i cannot stop to laugh at GD, but i love UAN :wub: ). I think they would have to put some new songs, as this time they have only 2 B-sides, which is to little to sell a deluxe version. I am sure they have something left, so i want some (greedy here) :lol: . If they are clever and they want a new top 10 hit they should do a "Beatles" and release as singles songs which are not on the album. Naturally they must be strong songs. It has payed with RTW, i am sure of it was on the BW, it woudn't have sell so much as a third/fourth single. Perhaps they will do a live CD? I won't say no to that :lol: .

Gone is Rule The World, gone is Greatest Day, UAN is only but not to be watch. :angry: They should resort that - Youtube is still no 1 as promotion :angry: .

I won't compare the chart position with those acts who are now overhyped or very popular between the young generation. I will compare with such kind of acts, who are like TT since many years on the scene. U2 first single was in German chart at no 19. Oasis singles from the last album went to 48 and 62. This acts are still very well respected, are still selling albums and tours. But their music don't appeal to masses, it is not a must-hear-loud-on-the-subway song. If all decent acts will go only on the markets they have success in the charts, it would be very sad for the music. TT still have to present their music, also when are not so many ears prepared to hear it. If they care for the music, that's it. If they only care for money and fame they will naturally do better staying at home. Charts are all about marketing. They have an image which is very loved in UK but don't work like that here ( actually their image is quite negative, still regarded as a manufactured boyband). Give here a Britney, a Robbie , a Kate Perry or a Amy - that will work very well. It takes time to improve such an image they have - they must show they really care for the music and present quality - they won't get any bonus in Germany that they are cute, gentleman and down-to-earth like they do in UK - other mentality here! As the chart position depend 80% on image and 20% on quality of the song - tadah! place 20 is a very good achievement then! I hope the album has more to win than the single, if i am honest - that is more important to me.

You know that i said that The Garden is not the best single choice - i stick with that (i like that song, you know but are songs which are made to be a single and songs which are not)! I still think a more lively song like Hold up a light could have been better, esp. with the non-TT fans. So, as i predicted a total doom for them, place 20 is very good :lol: .

Hehe, i can bet that Rule the world or Patience will win. So people - vote for Shine and the lovely underrated Up all night! :lol:

I think place 20 is a very good achievement! Also i think that not having a tour hurts also their chances a little bit in Germany.

Seeing that PSB doing the same with their first single of the album, U2 going very quick away, the same for Oasis (did they were more than 3 weeks in charts with each of their last two singles), it attest me more and more that the charts have more to do with the lenght of the clothes and the amount of bare skin as with the quality and music .... I don't expect nothing good for Depeche Mode in UK charts anymore for example :angry: .

Kind of a boring song for me :cry: , no high, no low. Not a bad song, but nothing to remember (still better as the first single). I expected far more from this album.

Robbie do change very quick his opinion (that is also why i don't believe a reunion would work our). This impression i had also form the book Feel, and TT seem to be very sceptic about the reunion. I think we will have to wait and see and don't believe any paper till something really happen. If i won't like what i will see, then i will choose to not like TT anymore. Till then, i don't believe any paper :lol: . (Plus: I think that Robbie knows how bad it will be for his image to say "no, i don't want to reunite with TT".) Words are words and no facts, especially at Robbie with his kind of humour.
