  1. I must defend IWFL - it is a nice sog. But too quiet for a single. Myself i still want Hold up a light as a single, but taking in account they filmed a video for "The Garden2"; whcih were not shown yet in Germany or any other country, that they made the video for UK. If it not charts well, we grow over that. I saw only an article in which the autor labbels UAN as a flop and one or two discussion about it not charting well (and one in TheSun forums, which really don't count as they are driven from a very obsessed person ). The big artists remains those selling albums , so i am quite happy for the Circus, as i feared the new direction will drive the listeners away. They should do perhaps like Beatles: their singles were not on studio albums - here an incentive to get both! If you think: Rule the world sold buckets, because was brill and not on the album. They should stick to that and release every half year a good single :w00t: . That i would like, that would also make an Greatest Hits also relevant!
  2. Well, album or single - i will be happy with both! When someone buys the album can make himself also a better opinion! I think the physical CD single is really dead in Germany, so i don't think that will work well. But perhaps the single will go up through downloads. It is important they get some good coverage (normally "Wetten dass" becomes coverage in important newspapers). Edit: as i looked in which TV shows will be about them or onterviews with them: they are targetted to the audience who buys albums and not singles. But with the more slaes of the album, the better chances we have for a tour (perhaps next year).
  3. Very happy to say that TT has taken this time three days to do promotion in Germany, a couple of radio promotion and two TV shows from 19 till 21 March! :cheer: This time the shows are much more important and i have a feeling this time the Universal had made much more work in choosing (as at the promotion of Greatest Day let us the german fans not quite happy) :yahoo: . I will post here the links and news, when i will have something. I start to have the feeling The Garden will do much better as Greatest Day here. I will be very happy if they get in Top 20 and if the album climbs in the charts!
  4. More than funny: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1p3bPLcktHQ
  5. Just for fun: http://tg24.sky.it/tg24/spettacolo/2009/03...nza_Robbie.html . They really don't know to much italian music, aren't they? (ok, i don't know either :D ).
  6. I am happy that you want this now  :cheer: ! I will wait first to see the difference between the two single CD, i am also not sure if both will be in the market where i buy music (but long live Amazon  ). ( PS. Just for you, only for you and not now , because you like now the song and TT for singing live: http://www.virginmedia.com/music/pictures/...mime.php?ssid=4 )
  7. Did you heard what Mark said bevor singing? In the memory of Simone? Simone is no more and someone gave today Mark a letter about her. I found very emotional that they dedicated the song to her.
  8. New version of The Garden: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t5joCpaZaEQ and c0zq3dCOPE4 Live, all three (Jason is ill). Howard was too loud, Mark was not himself, but the version is still ok and something different for what he have heard (my fav version remains the one in Holland!). The quality of the video is poor, i will post other when it cames. Edit: better quality video
  9. If i understand correctly the italian TT forum, Jason is ill and didn't perform today in Italy. Get well soon Jason! I don't know who took the part of Jason from The Garden.
  10. You know? I get tired how the music industry works. Nowadays is more important the image an artist has instead of his music quality. How on earth the TV could send it live the music in the 60ies and now with the all high -tech is such a major problem for TV to let artists singing live? For me is lazyness of the TV people and it should be forbidden. What is the point to watch some act miming? What have you from it? Yes, the artist has the promotion, the sales, the watching quotes, but what is your win from it? You can as well put the CD on, hear the radio. The experience is zero! Additionaly, when an artist has the posibility to sing live but he choose to mime, i feel cheated: i gave them my attention, they have the oportunity to show me what they can do, and they choose to cheat. That is for me mimimg - cheating! If it is the fault of the TV or of the artist - both time I feel cheated and that they try to sell me a cheap, second-hand image. I think one of the problem is also the listener. You can have so much music, so cheap - so you actually don't listen to it anymore. It gets as background and you are not aware anymore you are hearing something. The more posibilities the people got to record the music, the easier had this music devalorised. Where is the experience? Where is the sharing of the artists? Music is art when is sharing involved. That unique moment shared between the listener and the artist, that bonding of souls which the live music offers, seems to get forgotten. You see everywhere on the forums across the internet: "I don't care if she/he/they mimed. She/He/They looked great". That summs up what i wanted to say  !
  11. Your wish is my command: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_QOg7BfqYmQ  _QOg7BfqYmQ
  12. Only if it is sung from Jason or Gary. Nobody cares for Howard (why i am between the fews really liking his voice?) and Mark (well, but a lot do cares for his hats :P ). Sorry for the irony  , it only summs some of my observations there and just put it a little harder.
  13. Here are the links for the two performances. Enjoy it! Scroll down for the liks (somehow the direct links don't work) http://musicstar.sf.tv/liste.php?docid=7-s...=musicstarliste Opinions?
  14. I think that "caring" for an artist (I won't use the word FAN anymore, sorry) means for some of us the desire to see them growing and evolving. And like parents do with their children, we look critically what can they do besser. If i won't see in them the posibility to evolve, i won't come here. If i woudn't like their music, i won't hear it. And only because i enjoy it, i find it challanging and i believe in them, i take the effort to comment, to care what they can do better. I am not blind, i am very awake also when i think about my passions. Also when i was in love i could see through what this man has for good or for bad sides. When i hear TakeTHat or other music i like, i think this music not only just hear it. I think about the harmonies, the lyrics, the orchestration, the passion in the voices, the heart. I judge that all and make myself an opinion. A lot of times, also when i love a song i still know what it miss for me to be an excelent song. I also judge through a value-set the music i hear or the artist i see.. This set i use for the bands i like and for those i don't like. I make no exception - not because i want to be above, but because the quality of the music and of the performance is what i am looking for :teresa: . I also think Norma is also not a classical fan, as fan comes from fanatic, i must dare say that yesterday is the first time when i saw the similitudes between a religious fanatical (don't think stright to some asia people or someone who loves bombes, i met a lot who are peaceful but still fanatic) and a pop-act fan. Norma likes to think logic and rational. It may sound harsh what she sais and she naturally judge the music form her point of view and as like us all subjective, but she will also love to think. So, takethatrule, don't take it hard when I and Norma comes here to say our harsh critic. If we woudn't care for Take That, we won't do it. I give my time only for what i have a strong bonding. Speaking of that, Norma, i think you would really carry on by yourself in the official TT forum. Being called arrogant , was the last drop for me  ( i would have understand ellitist, music-snob, but arrogant? :naughty: ) . Through the move of the forum a lot of people i enjoyed reading, a lot of them having a very heavy humor, are gone. I will go there only to read , but i don't intent to post my opinion anymore there , even when they tear the voice / music style of Mark to pieces  (ok, hear i hope i will resist to the temptation) .
  15. Hehe, i count only the "new" TakeThat, as i was not a fan back in time and i am still not found on their back catalogue (only two songs i liked, now perhaps 3 or 4). :naughty:
  16. Are you also on TT official forum? Going back to The Circus: singing it at the RND was the best decision - it did well together with the pictures in the beackground and have a message more in accordance with the charity. I still don't know if it will chart well as a single - but if they play right their cards they may get it - at least all TT fans are happy that each favorite is singing. I found the live performance strong  .
  17. Well that was also my point there  . But i was more harsh than you, i said that they don't have the courage to try. Sorry, but i think they really have fear, i would also have being in their place. If you are a not well established act and still very young , you have nothing to lose. But if you are a trademark - it is a very dangerous game to do. If Robbie coudn't do it, TT would have loads difficult! Also an "old" band is very difficult to market . If they still make in UK very well, ok inEurope - i don't want actually more. The Circus was the last moment to try - this moment is now gone I think (you know, just IMO, :teresa: ). But i think that many fans see them as holy and not doing wrong. That Mark smokes and eat meat is enough for a sacrileg there  . They having fear is the ultimate bad thing to say - they are not human after all (but no, they are also no dancer anymore :D ).
  18. The one in diary about their miming  something with friday in title :D (not the one in the main TT) . I don't know if it's gone, as if i am going once again and get once again calling names as arrogant i may flip out really bad
  19. Ok, this time i did it big time. I think i will get banned , but anyway that was for me there. I don't know why i really bother to post there, it is not like being fun or having to many persons with whom i can exchange there opinions (i can count on my fingers). Don't go in the thread about RND if you don't want to see the battle, but as usually i lost as cannot express my opinions very clear in what for me whould be third language. It was an interesting experiment to be a fan in a forum. I was never before  and perhaps this is also the last time. I learn my lesson - you cannot be on an artist forum a free thinker  . If you want to keep going there, good luck !
  20. Norma, you should come on the official forum! LOL, i get myself on fire there  . But The Garden is great live, isn't it? Mark was so good that i thought he mimes (it took a couple of very very analyzing hearing from me), Gary is also great! @ Rule the World - i already skip Greatest Day on The Circus. I think i hate it now more - because it got what UAN should have got : publicity, promotion and no 1  . I am pathetic , i know (you should see what sig i have now on the official forum  ).
  21. Well, good for UAN for keeping Top 20. If they would have promote it this week it would have been good - but as far as i know that was , so no chance that next week it will still be in top 20. Also the album is still strong. Very good! I am pretty sure, somewhere in top 100 is also The Garden.
  22. This made my day  . If i know the thinks right, no, UAN is not their biggest flop. That was I wait for life, only two weeks in Top 40. Let me know, it is not that The Circus of Britney went only at 13? Than UAN only did a place behind  Britney, two places behind Oasis second single . "Flop" is something subjectiv and relativ and sometimes non related to quality, isn't it?
  23. After analyzing like 100 times, i think Mark was also live, but a little bit better as on RND  .
  24. Only Mark sang live yeserday , some people from official TT knows from somebody working at BBC (or something like that  ). Also when you compare yesterday with today videos, it is very very clear!
