I'm back again...Spain is great!!! Why why why, i must work work work tomorrow? ( Norma the last phrase was for you with dedication from me :naughty: :teresa: ). I going to bed after making a short survey of what happening in TT and music world. I love UAN live at Ant and Dec and the new Depeche Mode single! Is the mystery solved if TT mimed at the Brits?

Do you think that they will go for the best song? I don't think so after thier choosing of GD .... To choose a single one must think on many aspects. For example one is if the song will get further than to the circle of fans (which is needed to keep a heathy music carrer), other to choose a song which represent the musical believes of the band. Or the one the most acts are going for: the song that will appeal to the masses to give them a chart top 10. I do think that being TT is also a curse: they have to be high in charts :cry: . That puts a lot of pressure, especially on the lead singer. He must be very sure on his power and believe in himself very much - and the only one in TT having that is Gary. That is why he always has the first single. Mark is at the same time the most innovative and the weak link - the one to love or hate. He is a hit or miss with the wide audience, i am afraid :unsure: . He is too special in his style to be liked from everybody - that why he is a risk for getting a top chart position. I soo hate that they have to go for the charts. I mean - does somebody care if Oasis last single doesn't go in top 10? They are still adored!!! I wish for TT that the time comes when they can do the music they like and that they will be appreciated for the creative process instead for the chart position, awards, looks and entertainment. You cannot be creative in music and always on top of the game! It takes also a bit of going wrong . Even Lennon or McCartney have some horrible songs in their solo time.... I like Tha Garden, but not as a single. I got the same impression as Norma about what this choosing screams... :unsure: . Well, at least , when UAN won't see the Top 10 (booooo :angry: ) at least the album sales are going up again. And i still enjoy the Circus much more as Beautiful World ( to be honest, if i didn't buy the tour edition, i would have considered BW rather poor with only 3 songs i love and two additionaly that i like). Personal, i would imensely love to see "Hold up a light" as a single.... but i know that they won't risk Mark as leader again. My second option is "Here", but it is not very popular between the fans, and they seems to do everything in the last time to please thier fans (which is what i hate at the moment at TT :arrr: ).

I love this song! I am not so sure about the video, but the song is one of their best in the last years!

Only hope it is true! If is such a known show, it should help to bring them in top 20. That they don't sing UAN at the Brits just hit me :puke2: . I don't see the point of GD live now. With Gary so little available for the promotion, why they are not using the opportunity is beyond my understanding.

Not happy abou the brits . I don't know what they are thinking. Perhaps: sell ouit gigs and over 1,5 mil albums are enough for us, why to do more? Well, i lost my patience with them , really. Such a pity - a great album and awful promotion. I don't have interest in bands making music as hobby, i much prefer those who are doing it for the love of the music and for creativity. Bands who are not afraid to go in small venues and who have the guts to release material which won't chart too well, but are the songs in which they believe and is the music they want to do. I start to lose my respect for TT... And i am between the few, but i adore the video. I think it is really iconic and artistic, which i much prefer to glossy, glamour ones (like i expected). In my imagination the video would have been very witty, but the one like it is is very nostalgic, retro and , like i said, iconic. It makes me to remember about those street parties i was, great fun to be there with friends and family and not interested who sings, as long as i felt good :wub: . TakeThat could really be a group to be interested in if they choose to evolve and to be artistic. But i am afraid it won't be the case - they seem to go on the road of the "entertainment", of pleasing their fans instead of challanging them. They let themselves pushed from these fans opinions and Polydor/Universal, which make me think i am in the false place. If they continue to be so much interested in what the fans wanted, they will soon stop to evolve and be just entertainer like Robbie. For that i have no time and no interest :angry: .

Very good Norma that you changed your opinion! Every time you are pessimistic, it turns well!!! :dance: As the album sold to quick to much, i will be happy if the song make top 5 and quite content if top 10. I don't need for them to be the top of the world but to keep releasing good songs and evolve as a band. The more no 1 they have, the worse are the chances to do so as the pressure increase on them to make everything on success formulae. Better a good song which is not very liked by the masess as a poor song loved and overhyped :wub: .

Well, that comes from Gary's climbing - they cannot promote without him and he is the whole februar only for his Kili project. The irony is that he climbs and that awful cover for the cause he is climbing will go to no 1 instead of UAN :puke2: (that is not fair, Depeche Mode deserved a no 1 and a cover from them will get a chance instead them :puke2: ) . I think they should stick more to the music and promotion :mellow: . They will lost the moment from the brits because of this climbing :angry: (sorry i have something against such kind of "charity", has nothing to do in particular with Gary).

Sad to say, but from what i know, only what is sell in UK is in UK charts (and they know that very easily from the address they delivering to). It is very complicated, mind you, perhaps they changed the rules...

Good God that i am not between that record buying people, because exactly Shine make me a TakeThat fan and i consider "Up all night" one of their best song :cheer: . (If you had put insted "record" "single" it would have been 100% corect with me - the UAN will be the second single i will buy in my life and the first as a physical version. I generally buy only full albums :D ).

Are the new songs somewhere in youtube? I found till now only fakes <_< .

Agree...it is one of the worst songs of U2 i heard -_- . I expected more from them. I am curious if the hype it will be enough to send it to no 1.

As i know the downloads and buyers from outside UK also when they buy from UK online seller don't count to the charts.

Well, as the most of the chart is made from downloads and only the hard fans buy the CD, i think they have chances to be top 3. Speaking of CD, does anyone want to swap CDs? I want badly the "Up all night" one, but if i buy through amazon it won't count to the charts. I will offer a CD with "The Garden" instead, wenn it cames out on 20th march :teresa: .
