Support for Circus Tour
IrisAlbastru posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatIn an objective top, no - i won't put someone from the last ten years. I have one for the subjective top as high as Lennon and Cat Stevens, but that is another thing. People forget too quick the music when someone is out of the media. Only The Beatles keep it strong, but where is Freddie Mercury? Where is Cat Stevens? I am sure if i will think i would have another forgotten ones ... . In my top 20 i would def. have the one from Depeche Mode and Pet Shop Boys . I am not soo keen on the songs Gary writes for others (apart from the Christmas song  ). I heard the ones for John B (forgot the whole name) and those for Katherine Jenkins... perhaps he has better one, which i didn't heard.

our greatest ever songwriter is............
I would have in my top 5 Freddie Mercury and Cat Stevens ... The thing with these tops is that everybody tends to remember what is at that moment in, which explains the high position of Barlow and Martin. I bet that five years ago was Dido very high and next year will be Robbie and Amy Winehouse.

Support for Circus Tour
IrisAlbastru posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatHehe, i don't like or dislike Coldplay (i love Viva La Vida), but he seems to me very similar to Coldplay  . Perhaps is a music style on mode right now in UK and you hear it enough to don't see them similar to each other...

Up all night
IrisAlbastru posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatThe flop thing is depending on what are you comparing. I don't think that Oasis singles did better for example. Neither other ex-boy-band as a matter of fact :naughty: . Oh yeah, they are not so popular anymore. But if you put in the perspective that the audience, they are targeted to, don't buy too much singles, you have the answer. Also, to my complain, they are very seldom outside UK to promote their songs :arrr: .

The Garden - second single in Germany
IrisAlbastru posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatI also start to think that Universal is only after quick money but they don't give too much to build or help an act. They use the hype for an act and at the second album they seem to let the artist down. No wonder that music is going like is going and the charts are half full of crap and of acts who don't survive too long. TakeThat should come here and do something extravagant, something which will make everybody talk. But i have not really an idea what...giving a gig in front of Bundestag perhaps? :D Or doing a duet with some german darling (do we have something like that ?). Or a video with Heidi Klum :naughty: .

The Garden - second single in Germany
IrisAlbastru posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatActually that were also my thoughts. The Garden would have been great as a first single choice - you know: "the new TakeThat - all of them sings...buy the album to convince yourself". But this is a too strange song to do now well in charts. I even don't think they will get a video, exactly like for ReachOut. At least ReachOut was a song who could appeal also to non-TT fans... This decision surprise me very much and very negatively... I don't see that the Garden is more for Germany as "Up all night"... I was thinking also that "Hold up a light" would be the best choice for Germany. Oh well, i rest my case. They should go off from Polydor /Universal. I don't want to think that they must do with them a third album - i predict a very "radio-friendly" album with very little space to improve.

Take That: News
IrisAlbastru posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatThat is exactly what i thought. But where? In Germany, which was in the past No2 for them, they were not too high in charts. Could it be Asia?

ECHO Nomination
IrisAlbastru posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatWell, Germany seems to give a sign of recognition to Take That: they are nominated for an ECHO for group international. http://www.echopop.de/verleihung_2009 At the german forum the people are very very surprised (to say at least) as at the beginning in all the press Marroon5 was nominated and the nominations are normally driven from the sells, which were not that good the last year... But it seems to be true and the german forum got an assurance to be true. They are also listed on the official page of the ECHO awards. As they are against Coldplay, Pussycat Dolls, One Republic and Yeal Naim& David , there are very small chances to win. But I am still very very happy for the nomination (this award is here like a Brit award for UK). I predict Coldplay to win, their VivaLaVida was massive here.

Up all night
IrisAlbastru posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatWell, that is what Howard said to a fan (he was in Germany for DJ-ing). I don't know if he is the best source for reliable information, as it seems he has sometimes given false informations  ... I hope at least if they release it, they will do a proper video and promotion. That was not present for Reach out, it didn't get a chance to perform well. On the market are so many songs, that if you don't know that a band releases a song, you will not buy it in the time it counts for charts. In UK, TakeThat is at least once in a monthly magazine, so the new songs get attention - here are only scandals babies like Britney, Amy and Robbie in the magazines. And if i like the b-side, i may end to buy the single this time (i hate to download songs but also to have hundrets of cds in house :teresa: ).

Up all night
IrisAlbastru posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatThe problem is that i don't think Said it all is a good choice for Germany. It is an excellent songs for fans, but they need right now new ones. I see more Up all night to do the trick. They messed the promotion in Europe, they choosed the false lead single. It seems everything ruined now, really . I don't think that Germany would have been such a lost country for them - they get more to the adult section who buy the album, but when they have time and money and don't buy singles. I mean Oasis are here not so big as in UK, they don't play stadium here but small venues and are still coming. Oh well, i shut up. I am utterly disspointed, at least i wished to see them in german TV with Up all night and hear them in radio, when they don't came here to tour. I cannot come to UK, too expensive and i have other priorities like having a baby and making with my husband a travel somewhere.

Up all night
IrisAlbastru posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatIt seams that they will release in Germany "Said it all" instead of "Up all night", which will put me totally off. I am so depressed now that i will even not tell you how much i like and why the new video ... *Going to store my TT love in the basement :( *

Q Magazine
IrisAlbastru posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatSO, i got to read the whole intervies now in the off forum. Very nice one :naughty: . Like i see the things: Mark and Jason really want to do something with Robbie in the direction of a new song. Gary and Howard are very precautious with the thema. I have to laugh hard at the part with the Arctic Monkeys - i cannot really imagine Mark going furious to talk with them, but that they made up with the Glastonbury invitation is hilarious and so typical Mark  .

Kaiser Chiefs
I am also surprised both from Razorlight and Kaiser Chiefs "flopping". I was expecting more from the collaboration of KC with Marc Ronson. I am still very happy to see them live soon :yahoo: .

Watch a Razorlight Session
Thank you. I am still gutted that they played in Germany only far from my place and on working days, i would love to see them live.

GET ON YOUR BOOTS- NEW SINGLE
I hope they pull a "TakeThat" and this song is one of the weakest on the album. Because if it is the really lead song on the album, I don't think i will buy the album. It sounds like a missed cross of Queen with Bon Jovi.

Sunday Chart Predictions
Perhaps i like both songs too much and the orchestration is soo different so i still don't find them similar  . It is a "Simon&Garfunkel" atmosphere all over "Up all night" but is more retro- S&G style as being similar with a particular song.
