I quite like now the Flood but i still hate 8 Letters. So, it seams i have to wait to see if i like this song. The music from the trailer was very generic for an action film and not my cup of tea :unsure:

Just because the other don't show how they play instruments every time on TV it doesn't mean they cannot play them. I know some people (personally) who can play an instrument not professional like, but enough to help them with a singer carrier or voice coach or for regie of lyrical theater. Also, only because only Gary played at the beginning doesn't mean that the other were not capable to learn since them. Playing an instrument is not reserved only for those showing that or for the rockers. And the voice is also an instrument and far difficult to learn it properly. To make right harmonies, is not so easy as it seems... You know why i am saying this, Kate :) Now, i think that while Gary worded very poor, perhaps tongue in cheek, he may be right. Now in the band are three songwriter with very different style. Did you take the time to hear Mark's songs? Go behind his voice, if it grates you, just listen to the melody and orchestration.... IMO they are good, and he has a broader range of musical style than Gary for the matter. Gary is very conservative (but exquisite in his small range), Mark likes the experiment. And now Robbie mixes in the equation and that complicates the things....

Perhaps they saw the movie? Normally are a couple of test running before making a film available to everybody. Also critics get to see a film before other, or those involved in the distribution.

I heard the music from the trailer of the film. I think it will be more "progress" than "Rule the world", as the feeling of the film is totally different. This si an action film not a romantic one :unsure: . If they keep with the producer of the Progress, i see only little chance to be on my range of musical interest :lol:

So, they didn't do Kidz? Ahem why the hell they release Mark's songs when they don't intend to promote them? Just to make people think that he has no success? <_< I start seriously thinking selling my bloody tour tickets. I so don't care for Robbie part (no offence, Robie fans, he is just not on my taste that is all, i could have seen him playing gigs in Germany many times and i didn't care one second) and for this album. Also for the TT mark one. So it remains three-four songs they will sing from BW and Circus .... *gutted right now*

First i have to say that i haven't bought the album, so my opinion is based on youtube and radio (i buy albums only if i like at least half of it). I like Kidz, SOS and Pretty things the most. The flood is ok, i don't mind to hear it, but i don't have to have it, if you know what i mean. Affirmation is the weakest song (oh why does howard get always the boring song of the album..). For me 8 letters is not in the same sound class with the other songs, it sounds just odd and out of the place and only as a bow to the conservative fans ... It is not bad, but is not brilliant either, it is filling and no single material (but i thought that also about Said it all). I would have liked "What ...." if it had a rock sound and not an electric one. Electric sound doesn't suit it. All in one, while i like electric sound, i like a more puristic and vintage one, a la Depeche Mode. TT songs are too much in orchestration. Lesser would have been better.

I have a lot of hopes for Germany with Kidz. This is something that the young generation would watch, Wetten Dass was more for the old one. This is the best chance they could get to promote. Two years ago Razorlight sung Wire to wire, who flopped in UK and was here a big hit. For UK is a lost train already, to late. Is there a chance for them to sing SOS? Or is "like a bullet to my head" to dangerous for BBC? :lol:

I love Back to the future. If they bring on the scene Michael J fox and Doc (sorry, i forget his real name ) i will be veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrryyyyy happy. :cheer: But for me i would like a clever show like Beautiful world or Ultimate tour instead of a BBBBBIIIIIIGGGGGG show like The Circus (i stil haven't bought the DVD for it, i only saw once in kino). Never Forget from BW Tour and It only takes a minute girl from UT were amazing, to give only two examples....

I don't understand once again what is in their and their management head right now. They sang in Germany and Italy the Flood. I am quite angry, as they did exactly the same with Up all night. No promotion in time ..... Is some promotion for UK next week? If not, low top 20 is the most they will get. Gary has a great voice for pop ballads (not rock) and for epic songs. Dramatic and rock songs are not his territory...

Apart from the dancers undressing (ok, i understand the message, but annoys me something like this) i liked very much. My stream was bad, but i think Mark sang it very well and it was a dark atmosphere about the choreography, which i liked (perhaps that is way i like Reaching out). I only saw Adele till my streaming was dead for good, but while i like her voice i think her song is boring.

I start to be really excited about the video now, if the rumors about the filming are true! I know they will get a lot of critics about it... but it was the time to go out from their safe area and make something more related to the actual political life and social movements. :cheer:
