Comic Relief 2011
IrisAlbastru posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatApparently they are now in Bulgaria shooting the video. Isn't it too late for a good editing? Oh dear, why they should always do nothing right about the promotion for the singles i love? The artwork of the cover is plain awful, the release date is now 21 february. At least we will have a b-side! I might end buying it if the b-side is good

Barlow: 'Robbie's Take That future uncertain'
IrisAlbastru posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatI don't trust Robbie words to predict what he will make tomorrow. He changes quite easy his mind and his mood. It is easier to predict the weather in ten years as to predict what Robbie will do in a week. :teresa:

TT Single. KIDZ (2010)
IrisAlbastru posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatKath, and i am so sure is Mark, who orchestrates them :naughty: . He knows which ego to tinkle, let Gary to be the "cover" of the band, let Robbie to have the most lines on the album, let Jason to philosophize and let Howard to be the shy quiet Howard. In a lot of interviews he knows to each one to throw the ball or to move the direction of the discussion. Which manager has the band? Mark's one. The most of co-writer were more connected to Mark then Gary. The one who cowrites Shine has also wrote for MO solo albums. Ben Mark and Jamie Norton were in his solo band. As for writing in songs is very clear the most of the times, which songs were heavily influenced from Mark and which from Gary (even when Gary likes to pose as the musical authority of the band, i am talking about all new TT albums and not only about Progress). It is enough to analyse the solo songs written from each one. If Mark would have have a beautiful voice like Gary or the entertaining package like Robbie, he would had have more success. But so his songwriter talent is hard to be hear from the majority, as they don't like his voice. Take his voice out of his songs and look at the music, at the lyrics, at the used instruments , he has a lot of fantasy and much more easiness to go from a music style to the other while Gary, as brilliant as he is, is only good in ballads and in the production sector. As for Robbie coming back, sure that a business man like Gary saw the benefit. But i bet here that was the wish of Mark, as he seems the one who don't need to talk about it or to over analyze his feeling about reunion and he seems genuinely happy to have Robbie next to him on scene. I also bet the Howard was against, as he likes stability, Jason is for some reason now pissed about, Gary likes the attention and Robbie, who knows? He is like the wind... But all of this is naturally only supposition from my part :naughty: . It would be funny thought to discover after 50 years that the mastermind was Howard or Jason  . Or even Nigel

DVD - Record-breaking sales
IrisAlbastru posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatEh, the problem is that i hated the ITV documentary, it was for me without ending and beginning. I cringed a lot and couldn't bear to look till the end. It was too chopped, so has the DVD a better coherency at least?

Underperforming artists 2010
I expected way more from Duffy  . BIG OFF TOPIC but it bugs me so i have to say it: I am very tired how misogynist is the thinking in the music industry and very often here on forum. It is perfectly ok for the men that a feminine act without voice or talent to be on top just because her video is " soooo gooooddd" (aka dance and beautiful girl) but is a nono for woman to like something different, they have a less taste if they like man for good looking for example. I am very disappointed how often is written here "the music is for the housewoman" as if these woman would be people of third niveau. It may be that women like other music as men, but way do you men believe you have the monopole of good taste and only what you hear is good? :puke2: So what if an artist is more targeted for the women? Why should we hear your music made from some long-legs-not-another-talent artists? Just because men have something between the legs doesn't mean that they have a better taste, a better ear... I expect from educated people on a music forum to think more when they want to show that a music is bad in their opinion as putting that "this is music for gran, sister, niece, mum, aunty, .... insert other". I bet your mother / sister/ gran / aunty ...would be happy to know how you think about their taste in music.

Gary to Celebrate His 40th Birthday

Gary to Celebrate His 40th Birthday
IrisAlbastru posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatI will put my last two cents here and after that i will rest my case, as the person in discussion is not worth more from my time. There is now very fashionable for every celebrity to make "charity work". Their PR people are running across the universe to find one where are not already too many celebrities involved. For more than 90% of these celebrities is not a genuine work but a methode to gather "plus" points from the media and audience, to be in the news and pictures (eventually with the new Versace robe). I accept such charity work as genuine only from those celebrities which are making it subtle, without putting themselves in the media like every publicity-hunter. Especially attention seeker are for me those doing "documentary" and "reality shows". Here both Gary and Mark done it the fault pas... at least Mark seems to have learned from his Celebrity Big Brother and make only support charity, which is for my more genuine as putting your name always in the front of it. As for Gary, if you want to see him as Santa Gary, go for it. I see him more as genuine as the Coca-Cola-Santa. Naturally, that his fans will say "yeah, a gig, hurraaa". A fan group is not known for being objective, especially those of TT. As for being only for 2000 people, ahem, doesn't change the amount of publicity he will get or the people in front of TV if he sells the TV rights or make a DVD. The Kili-Climb was only about publicity and for me not genuine at all. Yeah, it is easy to say to other people "give your penny" and after that to fly with your 20000 Euro private jet... I think a lot of mosquito nets could have been bought and it would have been only a couple of hours of normal comfort for Gary &Co. If Gary would say " i will travel only normal class and give the extra money for the charity" it would have been more sincere as the whole crocodile tears... Second: his marriage anniversary. I find beyond tasteless to sell a private anniversary. I know that a lot of people are mildly toward such a thing "when the money gets for a good cause", but for me is not an excuse. There are better ways to do a charity and gather money as selling your pics with you and your celebrity pals in expensive gala robs and feeling charitable without doing nothing actually. The only charity i was liking was his CIN gig, but where he didn't adulate himself so much, as he does in this "let's congratulate myself what a charitable kind great songwriter i am". It has "EGO" all over it and has nothing genuine. Another publicity stunt. I bet the same money would have been made if he would give his rights for the Back for good for example. But the media attention would have been very little, no pics, no celebrity pals to adulate you. Sorry if my opinion is not yours. But i am tired to see people in Versace and Dior telling me how every cent counts for charity, going out of a Roll Royce and telling me about clima change or saving the world. For me Gary would be genuine if he will refuse that "sir" title , which in my opinion is he after. Peter, i agree, i like their music and i would still like it, like i like U2 songs but not giving two cents about Bono saint messages. But i still have my eyes open and an opinion about it and i give my support to celebrities only when the charity has style and is genuine. There are a lot of charities , which deserve a lot more support as seeing Mr. Barlow in TV.

Gary to Celebrate His 40th Birthday
IrisAlbastru posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatOh dear. Someone seems to think that he is so important that all the nation should celebrate him. Oh dear. Can he make something for the charity with more style and silence. This "i am soooo good" is only for me "i wantto be in the middle point of the uniersum"... Sorry for my harsh opppinion, but i don't like people using "charity" to do themself a lot of publicity and manipulate the people :puke2: Can he go more down on my rating? :teresa:

" I would have liked a little tinny better Kidz as a second single but SOS is also catchy as hell

Take That Progress to 1m sales
The Garden was released in Germany. It didn't made any impression and it was sung live in "Wetten dass". Up all nicght was the best song on The Circus. Crap and not timed promotion, the video was also not on the majority taste  . I think that Hold up a light would have been without a problem a top 10 hit with a proper video and release (it got only a radio release)...
