Kerrang viewers top 100 bands- pathetic
WTF? ok, the first twenty should be for example (if we 're talking only about heavy rock and metal bands): Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Death, Coroner, Morbid Angel, Opeth, Judas Priest, NIN, Metallica ;-) , Emperor, Bathory, Kreator, Slayer, Dream Theater, Anathema, Arcturus, Tool (......and I could easly add another ten or twenty but probably no one is intersted....... ) but if we're talking about rock music in general, this is completely different story.... then it shoul be also: Pink Floyd, The Doors, The Who, The Clash, Ministry, The Cult, Sonic Youth, Porcupine Tree.... (don't mention Hendrix, Bowie, Buckley ect cos these aren't bands)

Does the World need another indie band?
Well, overall I think that this is truth. I agree with the jurnalist. But to be honest there is always 90% of c**p music, 7% good music and maybe 3% of brill music in any genre. this doesn't concern only indie bands. Sadly the most talented bands/artist are very rarely promoted on the media (at least nowadays). which it gets on my nerves really.

The Late Great Jeff Buckley Thread
Oh, how I love this man    He is probably my all time favourite singer/songwriter. I'm totally in love with his voice ,hauntingly moving, full of expression that it hurts in a sweet way. Jeffie was very special , he had an essence that was pure, when he sang it was truly 'beauty' He was love and light, laughter and tears, playful and serious..... I think that these two songs from Glastonbury fest. should be mentioned too. He was brill then. I have the whole Jeff's performance from Glastonbury (unfortunately only audio ;-)) Mojo Pin LQJFunXnz4o What Will You Say - especially at 6:48 to 6:57 just stunning  9v87x5jd_hc ...He is tear that hangs inside my soul forever.... I adore him endlessly...

The Verve - Four
Sorry, but I find their new single pretty average.

Eddie Vedder
I don't have any Pearl Jam's album, even "Ten". :o However I do like some grunge music. I've got Soundgarden's "Badmotorfinger", Alice in Chains's "Dirt" and Mad Season's "Above". B) So as you see, I'm not Pearl Jam's fan ;-). But I like this solo album :-).

Eddie Vedder
well, It's nothing groundbraking, I know ;) But sometimes I like to listen some quiet, acoustic, carefully crafted songs.

Eddie Vedder
Yeah, sure you have heard of him. He is Pearl Jam's vocalist :-). And this is hist first solo album.

This is interesting thread but where is the rest of the list?

Opeth
Have you seen them live? I had this opportunity twice but sadly not on their proper tours but on festivals. It's very frustrating but since Blackwater Park they have never had their own gigs in my country  I can't understand why because they don't have to go far. We are almost neighbours ;-). They are incredibly tight band live, pure perfection :-). And also very nice and laid back people, always find the time and willingness to chat a little bit with their fans, especially Peter was like that. :yahoo: I'm proud owner of the pic with him ;-).

Anathema anyone?
I don't think this is her side-project because she left The Gathering some time ago...

On This Day In TOTP History
Really? I've never heard about this. But maybe It's better for me ;-). By the way, my favourite is You Don't Fool Me :-).

Anathema anyone?
It's going to be an awesome gig, I'm pretty sure. Three pioneers of doom metal :-). Lucky you, I've never seen My Dying Bride live :-(, I like them but not so much like Anathema. To be honest with you I lost the touch with Paradise Lost a long time ago. Draconian Times is the last album I know and like. Hehe, I'm pretty shy and I don't like to tell my personal informations on messageboards. I'll give you a clue. I'm from the country where Anathema recorded 'Were you There' DVD ;-) Oh, thank you for the compliment but you might change your opinion about me, who knows? ;-) I have really broad musical taste. The only genres that get on my nerves are hip hop, R&B and rap. That kind of music is emotionless for me....welll I better stop here because some people might feel offended. ;-) So, Is it only you on BJ that like that kind of music?
