Tom Grennan is headlining Friday of Big Weekend - feels like a very weak choice compared to previous years. Also on that day are Biffy Clyro, James Hype & The Wombats (main stage), Confidence Man, Barry Can't Swim, D.O.D., Jazzy, Katy B, Nia Archives & Prospa ("New Music" stage).
  2. Ghost for me also this week. Ghost Volbeat Elton John Spiritbox Rachel Chinouriri Black Country, New Road Tennis Bryan Adams
  3. Rumours also going around that he'll be performing at the Eurovision final this year.
  4. Ah nice! Hopefully it'll release that day then.
  5. Currently in the studio together - I can't believe this thread was created over 5 years ago now! https://www.instagram.com/p/DG5szI2o6Mr/
  6. Sleep Token are back! Their first new single since massively blowing up in 2023 can be pre-saved here: https://www.showmehowtodanceforever.com/anewoffering/ It'll be interesting to see where it charts, I think it'll go at least Top 40.
  7. In other news, 'Still... At Their Very Best (Live From The AO Arena, Manchester, 17.02.24)' is out on streaming platforms today with a physical release on 30th May! Great to have the new version of 'A Change of Heart' on streaming, with added sax & a female verse.
  8. I'm not too fussed with the second single, but really enjoying the title track currently - great to see it on Radio 1's A-list this week.
  9. I can't get enough of 'A Question of You' right now!
  10. I felt that around 2020-2021 tbf, I think Notes On a Conditional Form harmed their momentum a lot - but Being Funny in a Foreign Language and especially their 2023 tour put them right back on track. They've never sold as many tickets in the UK before as they did that year, and sold out another arena tour at mainly the same venues exactly a year later. They've been quiet for a while now obviously, but I think their next lead single could finally get them a Top 10 single.
  11. It's now their first song to reach the Spotify UK chart upon release!
  12. Thanks so much to Wardy for running this so far! I'll be taking over from this week onwards :) Each week, 8 new releases are selected to go head to head, with one weekly winner which will then go up against future weekly winners later in the year at the end of each quarter of the year, and then again at the end of the year to determine the ultimate winner of 2025. Last week's results; Doves - A Drop In The Ocean [4] Billy Idol – Still Dancing [3] Gigi Perez – Chemistry [3] Cheekface – Living Lo-Fi [2] Blossoms – Mariah Carey Through Death Valley [1] The Darkness – Walking Through Fire [0] Djo – Delete Ya [0] Skunk Anansie – Cheers [0] ========== Total Votes: 13 The final single released ahead of their new album 'Constellations For The Lonely', Doves' 'A Drop In The Ocean' topped this week's poll! ============================================ Each week, choose one song only that you feel is your favourite from the selection of releases that week. If you wish to post a rate of the selection of songs in the thread, please feel free to do so. 13. Their last "era" was by far their most commercially successful, tour-wise. Selling out The O2 arena 6 times, all their other arena dates (of which there were about 15 more), and a sold out Finsbury Park gig!
  14. Great to see that Ghost have enough of a fanbase now for their new music to make the Spotify chart on release! That wouldn't have been a full 24 hours either I believe.
  15. Decent return, I think it'll take a few listens to properly click with me though. New album 'God Of Angels Trust' is out on 6th June.

  17. Rachel Chinouriri returned with new single 'Can we talk about Isaac?' last night, the lead single from upcoming EP 'Little House' - out on 4th April!
  18. Officially headlining Glastonbury, and they've debuted a new logo today on socials - so I imagine new music is coming very soon!
  19. Big news! You can now pre-save HAIM's new single 'Relationships'. No release date just yet: https://www.instagram.com/p/DG01BJwtjGT/?hl=en
  20. I'm not sure, the fact that Fable got to #55 and this may make the lower end of the charts suggests she has some sort of fanbase. Most of these TikTok-fuelled acts never make the charts again at all.
  21. New in at #89 on Monday's chart update.
  22. Oh wow, that's random! I'd love it to re-enter the chart again.
  23. Ghost are back with new album 'Skeletá' on 25th April! Lead single 'Satanized' released this morning:
  24. 'Happy Birthday' is out tomorrow.
