Sunday Main Stage: Mumford & Sons Jorja Smith / Lola Young / Tate McRae / Wet Leg (A-Z) Sunday New Music Stage: JADE FLO / Joy Crookes / Self Esteem / South Arcade (A-Z)

Much better lineup for Saturday! Main Stage: Sam Fender Blossoms / Myles Smith / Tom Odell / Wolf Alice (A-Z) New Music Stage: Aitch B2B AJ Tracey Artemas / Good Neighbours / Inhaler / Jordan Adetunji Just one woman (in a 75% male band) across the two main stages is a little surprising though.
  6. Their second album 'Parasites & Butterflies' is out on 29th August! Second single 'Soprano' is out now:
  7. Three Empire Of The Sun songs in the chart today! Great to see them having a bit of a resurgence! 148: We Are The People 193: The Spins (Mac Miller & Empire Of The Sun) 196: Walking On A Dream

Crawlers & Fat Dog both feel pretty big for the BBC Introducing stage in amongst loads of much smaller artists.

At least it seems Radio 1 will likely support Biffy Clyro's new music at their average age of 44.333333... - there should be a new album this year.
  10. New single is a pretty good return! Hopefully Radio 1 get on board, although they've only just playlisted 'All I Ever Asked'.

Tom Grennan is headlining Friday of Big Weekend - feels like a very weak choice compared to previous years. Also on that day are Biffy Clyro, James Hype & The Wombats (main stage), Confidence Man, Barry Can't Swim, D.O.D., Jazzy, Katy B, Nia Archives & Prospa ("New Music" stage).
  12. Ghost for me also this week. Ghost Volbeat Elton John Spiritbox Rachel Chinouriri Black Country, New Road Tennis Bryan Adams
  13. Rumours also going around that he'll be performing at the Eurovision final this year.
  14. Ah nice! Hopefully it'll release that day then.
  15. Currently in the studio together - I can't believe this thread was created over 5 years ago now! https://www.instagram.com/p/DG5szI2o6Mr/
  16. Sleep Token are back! Their first new single since massively blowing up in 2023 can be pre-saved here: https://www.showmehowtodanceforever.com/anewoffering/ It'll be interesting to see where it charts, I think it'll go at least Top 40.
  17. In other news, 'Still... At Their Very Best (Live From The AO Arena, Manchester, 17.02.24)' is out on streaming platforms today with a physical release on 30th May! Great to have the new version of 'A Change of Heart' on streaming, with added sax & a female verse.
  18. I'm not too fussed with the second single, but really enjoying the title track currently - great to see it on Radio 1's A-list this week.
  19. I can't get enough of 'A Question of You' right now!
  20. I felt that around 2020-2021 tbf, I think Notes On a Conditional Form harmed their momentum a lot - but Being Funny in a Foreign Language and especially their 2023 tour put them right back on track. They've never sold as many tickets in the UK before as they did that year, and sold out another arena tour at mainly the same venues exactly a year later. They've been quiet for a while now obviously, but I think their next lead single could finally get them a Top 10 single.
  21. It's now their first song to reach the Spotify UK chart upon release!
  22. Thanks so much to Wardy for running this so far! I'll be taking over from this week onwards :) Each week, 8 new releases are selected to go head to head, with one weekly winner which will then go up against future weekly winners later in the year at the end of each quarter of the year, and then again at the end of the year to determine the ultimate winner of 2025. Last week's results; Doves - A Drop In The Ocean [4] Billy Idol – Still Dancing [3] Gigi Perez – Chemistry [3] Cheekface – Living Lo-Fi [2] Blossoms – Mariah Carey Through Death Valley [1] The Darkness – Walking Through Fire [0] Djo – Delete Ya [0] Skunk Anansie – Cheers [0] ========== Total Votes: 13 The final single released ahead of their new album 'Constellations For The Lonely', Doves' 'A Drop In The Ocean' topped this week's poll! ============================================ Each week, choose one song only that you feel is your favourite from the selection of releases that week. If you wish to post a rate of the selection of songs in the thread, please feel free to do so. Here are this week's contenders: Black Country, New Road - Happy Birthday Bryan Adams - Make Up Your Mind Elton John & Brandi Carlisle - Swing For The Fences Ghost - Satanized Rachel Chinouriri - Can we talk about Isaac? Spiritbox - Keep Sweet Tennis - At The Wedding Volbeat - By a Monster's Hand Results of this week's poll will be revealed in next week's thread. 23. Their last "era" was by far their most commercially successful, tour-wise. Selling out The O2 arena 6 times, all their other arena dates (of which there were about 15 more), and a sold out Finsbury Park gig!
  24. Great to see that Ghost have enough of a fanbase now for their new music to make the Spotify chart on release! That wouldn't have been a full 24 hours either I believe.
