The BRIT Awards 2025
His song with Lyrical Lemonade & Jack Harlow would’ve just snuck in the eligibility period I imagine (like ‘Now and Then’), but yeah it’s clear they were struggling…

The BRIT Awards 2025
I wish they'd stop considering people who team up for albums (eg. Future & Metro Boomin) as a 'group'. Don't think I've ever seen another award show do that.
-
The BRIT Awards 2025
Them trying to play it off as a livestream when it's clearly pre-recorded is bugging me slightly  "Spam the chart if you can hear me!"

Streaming Services Chart Discussion
'Limitless' seems to be the Central Cee song pushed from the album release tomorrow, so we may be spared of him & Dave going to #1.

The Traitors UK • Series 3
They had to make Charlotte recruit really - if she was banished later today (never going to happen, but you never know) there would be no traitors left for the final.

Self Esteem - A Complicated Woman
Self Esteem has announced that 'A Complicated Woman', the follow up to 2021's acclaimed 'Prioritise Pleasure', will be released on 25th April. Lead single 'Focus Is Power' released a few days ago, not a huge fan of it though unfortunately - feels a bit X Factor winner's single to me. Hope there's some more alternative stuff on the album.

The Darkness - Dreams On Toast
‘Rock and Roll Party Cowboy’ is out on Friday.

Streaming Services Chart Discussion
It seems to be because it's featured in Molly Mae's new documentary  It's not in his Top 10 most currently popular on Spotify, or had any noticeable increase in scrobbles on Last.fm, so definitely seems to just be a UK rise.

Black Country, New Road - Forever Howlong
New single 'Besties' is out on 30th Jan!

Japanese Breakfast - For Melancholy Brunettes (& sad women)
Big fan of the lead single currently - I must check out some of their previous albums at some point.
-
Nova Twins - Parasites & Butterflies
Following on from their 2022 Mercury Prize-nominated album 'Supernova', Nova Twins are back with new single 'Monsters'! Not a massive fan on first listen, it's just not really sticking with me and the production sounds a bit tinny too I think? Looking forward to what they have coming up next though.

The Wombats - Oh! The Ocean
"Can't Say No" released last week: hRJesMmlRDo

Indie Track of the Week
For me: 1. Mumford & Sons – Rushmere 2. Architects – Blackhole 3. Inhaler – A Question For You 4. Jungle – Keep Me Satisfied 5. Lucy Dacus – Ankles 6. The Wombats – Can't Say No 7. Biig Piig – One Way Ticket 8. Skunk Anansie – An Artist Is An Artist I quite like all other than the bottom two though.
-
Mumford & Sons - RUSHMERE
Album sales are what I expect really, the first two are by far their most popular.

Streaming Services Chart Discussion
Yeah I think it's been and gone at this point really - it was #1 on the Spotify UK viral chart about a month or so ago but is down to #23 now.

Cradle of Filth & Ed Sheeran - TBA
Update on this in a couple of new interviews to promote Cradle of Filth's new album (which this song isn't on...):
-
Mumford & Sons - RUSHMERE
'Guiding Light' got to #40 - all the way back in 2018!
