'dark heaven' is out today:

The title track is out today - definitely my favourite of the 3 so far! Physicals for the album aren't out until 13th November - I can't see anywhere to get them in the UK yet though.

It releasing on a Sunday wouldn’t have helped!

'Baby Kool (Evelyn)' is out on Wednesday. Comments on the preview are pretty negative, but it's no more pop than most of Dead Club City really!

Hard one to call! I don't think any of the mainstream choices are strong enough to win tbh. I think they've all released better albums. Dove Ellis would probably be my choice. Help(2) is a bit of a weird one. There's lots of good songs on it, but feels weird to consider it alongside "proper" studio albums. I wonder who will perform a song from it at the awards?

The main snubs I see people talking about are Lily Allen, Boards of Canada Gorillaz, James Blake, mary in the junkyard & Mandy, Indiana.

Black Sabbath legend Tony Iommi has announced his first "solo" album since 2005! 'From The Dark' is out on 23rd October, with power metal vocalist Jorn Lande on vocals. Lead single 'World Alone' is out now.

Pretty unimpressed with the cast so far!

There doesn't seem to be an obvious contender this year, which keeps things interesting. Gorillaz would be my choice currently, and I think they have a decent shot at winning it - although they refused a nomination in 2001!

The 12 shortlisted albums will be revealed on Thursday. Any predictions?
