Could X Factor Finalists 2008 - Hero Be A Million Seller?
Why was there no voting option for 8 weeks or more at number one ;) I like the idea of charity singes and for that reason I've voted for a million seller with 7 weeks at number one, to be charitable you understand :D It's going towards the Poppy Appeal, isn't it? That's one of my fave charities I don't like this version of the song tho tbh and I didn't like the original much either  It goes without saying, there are other ways to donate to good causes, but I think by record purchase is one good way because of the ease of accessability to donate (tho what with the physical single seamingly becoming harder to come by these days  ) and I'm sure there are plenty of charity records that don't get this kind of exposure and some that don't become hits.

iTunes Chart // October
That quote made me chuckle  But, that said, I'm almost starting to feel sorry for Leon, in not having a huge #1 by the looks of things. I wonder who could potentially "loose out" more, if Leon's career isn't quite as mega as maybe hoped for. Leon or Simon?

The X-Factor Odd's Thread
Diana and Ruth are my favourites! I dislike what I would call yodelling, i.e. scalling up and down a particular note. I don't like that sort of singing, Diana and Ruth didn't do that, I believe. It seems popular that sort of singing, but for me, I'd rather hear nails being scraped down a chalkboard.

Xmas number one odds
Well, I think, unless Bob Geldof is involved (but I'm guessing he isn't) then I think sadly it'll probably be the X Factor yet again, but you never know!

I'm hoping for Peter Kay, rather than 35k

X Factor: The Live Shows
There were just 2 performances that I liked. Ruth and the young blond woman, I can't remember her name.

X Factor: The Live Shows
Interesting trawling through some of the posts on here. Haven't watched it yet. Taped it last night, so will fast-forward any bit I think are boring and the adverts of course. Usualyy it's condensed into about half the time, if not a bit more :naughty: Watched "Big Cat Diaries" instead last night :P

Kill Bill
I think both films are great, but I do prefer the first film. I've never understood why (I think it's the scene in Vol 1 with Copperhead) where I think it's the daughters name or someone's name is bleeped out. I thought that was unusual. I wondered what it might have been for?

The Almost Saturday Charts w/k ending 3rd Oct 2008
Cliff Richard #2 in the physicals #42 in this combined chart :o :o :o Wow! I knew physicals sales these days were lower than yesteryear, but not that low by the looks of things.

The Almost Saturday Charts w/k ending 3rd Oct 2008
Well, I'm a fan anyways. I much prefer these days watching "Last Of The Summer Wine" on TV of a Sunday evening than listening to the chart run down, which it usually clashes with!

What has happened to British music in 2008?
Slightly :offtopic: I know, but didn't the FA or someone have a simular issue (so to speak) with a quota of British football players per game?

Best songs not to reach the Top 40?
There must be tons of top notch tunes out there that didn't reach the top 40. A couple that come to mind are: Julia by The Eurythmics and La Ritournelle by Sebastien Tellier oh and another: Today by Zero 7 I think it just goes to show that not all that is good are hits and also not all that are hits are good ;)

Songs that were expected to be #1, but weren't
I remember thinking that Wings "Live and let die" must have topped the uk charts and was surprised that not only did it not reach #1, but I think it only reached #9 or something. I don't think any of the James Bond theme tunes ever topped the uk chart btw.

Anyone else fed up...
Why make a download unavailable? Surely that's not in the best interests of the consumer? They don't exactly take up any physical space or require a press or what have you to make copies.

Should I Give Up On CD Singles?
I could probably count on one hand the number of singles I've bought in the last 10 to 15 years, ok maybe on two hands, but it ain't that many!

Next Week`s Chart 25th Aug 2008
Well, I tried to buy a copy of "More ABBA Gold" today, rather unsuccessfully, so I'll try later in the week I guess.

Cliff's Musical History Bid
At least he evidently cares about the singles chart. I'd be happy to see him achieve it.

What Your Favourite Number 1 Single Of 08 So Far
Coldplay and Mint Royale These 2 I know and like. Tbh I haven't heard a lot of the number ones these days. Also, I don't think there's any harm in having a straw pole like this.

Favourite Actors of all time?

Abba-Gold
If ABBA Gold is now the oldest album to top the charts, then what album was it before? Anyone know?
-
Abba-Gold
I tried to, not so many years ago to buy a copy of More ABBA Gold, only to find it had been deleted, so I'm gonna get myself a copy later this month!

Slow singles chart turnover
Maybe it's a good job that they don't include airplay in the calculations, that might slow it down even more. Can you imagine; "In this weeks exciting chart we have 40 non-movers"

Just wondering what the odds are on anyone called Leo having the Xmas #1 :D
