Here's an interesting blog, about a fan who kept in touch since
writing a fan letter, and also gives an insight into why he left
Hollywood at the end. Quite touching.

Founder of punk's Mink DeVille dies at 58
Friday, August 7, 2009
(08-07) 10:26 PDT New York (AP) --
Willy DeVille, a singer who was founder and principal songwriter of
the punk group Mink DeVille, has died in New York City. He was 58.
Publicist Carol Kaye says he died of pancreatic cancer. He died
Thursday night at Cabrini Hospital.
She says the rock world has lost "another one of its influential
pioneers."
Mink DeVille appeared in the 1970s at the legendary CBGB club in
Greenwich Village. It was billed as one of the most original groups on
the New York punk scene.
Its 1977 album "Cabretta" featured the song "Spanish Stroll." It was a
Top 20 hit in the United Kingdom.
Willy DeVille was known for his blend of R&B, blues, Dixieland and
French Cajun ballads.

RIP, you played a big part of my adolescence with some of my favourite films ever....
OMD - If You Leave (Pretty In Pink OST  ) - before La Roux murders this song.
Although am I the only one who hated Home Alone?
I wasn't a big Home Alone fan either, but i loved his 80s films...The Breakfast Club, Pretty In Pink, etc
great films.

Ex-Space drummer dies, aged 42
Monday, August 3 2009, 14:18 BST
By Mayer Nissim, Entertainment Reporter
Source: digitalspy
Former Space drummer Andy Parle has died at the age of 42 after he fell crossing a road in Liverpool.
The authorities are treating the musician's death as "unexplained" after he was seen tripping up as he crossed Park Road near its junction with Isaac Street on Saturday, the Liverpool Echo reports.
A police spokeswoman said: "Officers investigating the death are keen to speak with anyone who may have been in the area around this time and particularly any taxi drivers using this busy route to come forward.
"A post mortem will be held to establish the cause of death."
The police have confirmed that they are not investigating an assault or road accident in connection with the incident.
Parle's former bandmate Dave 'Yorkie' Palmer said: "It's the saddest, most tragic end you could have."
He added: "Space continued to have success after Andy left but the band changed and lost something which Andy had contributed.
"Even though we had another brilliant drummer there was something about Andy’s style which was unique."

What an absolute PRICK this guy is... And the fact that he's actually referring to himself in the THIRD PERSON as well.... Jesus, what a total fukkin' egomaniac..... This guy's ego would make Bono blush.... Someone, PLEASE, thump some sense into this guy..... <_<
Spot on! His songs aren't even memorable, they don't even stand up to classics like Billie Jean and Thriller.
MJ still IS the king of pop, just like Elvis will always be the King of Rock n Roll...death doesn't change that.
