  1. Sorry if this has been said anywhere, I have read the entire thread and don't think I've spotted it but; Could the last chart not be a Sunday - Saturday chart and the following week be a Friday - Thursday chart, overlapping two days sales (Fri/Sat). These wouldn't be counted twice for YTD/EOY charts but just for that one particular week - as it is a weekly chart. Perhaps it's just me, but I can't see a Sunday - Thursday chart being at all relevant?

If I had to pick 2 Katy Perry songs to be million sellers, it would be Teenage Dream and E.T.

157th million selling single in the UK announced now as Katy Perry's Roar http://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/k...ion-sales-3453/
  4. It was November 27th when you got to this point last year :heehee: 10 days in and you are storming it!!
  5. I thought Lights was #1 in its debut week? Then fell to like 16 (ish?)
  6. Ed Sheeran needs to be taken away from this as well now, leaving just two songs to increase their peak due to streaming.
  7. But if 1D were number 1 in sales but not the official chart, and Meghan was number 1 official yet not in sales - then they're the same thing in this respect?! I can't understand how both 'records' don't come hand in hand?
  8. It's not a £1 million prize. It's a recording contract worth £1million
  9. I, personally, enjoy this thread and find it interesting. Obviously, I understand it can't go on forever as we become more used to streaming inclusion, but I think it has it's place for now.
  10. Nowhere to be seen before release?? Both Am I Wrong and Rude were Top 30 on pre-order at the time of their release. Why don't people research before they write an article?!
  11. It's Slipknot's first new material in 6 years
  12. I'm pretty sure (from memory) Steps - Heartbeat/Tragedy had 32 weeks top 40?! Wouldn't know how to check if anyone could for me :)

Sorry to boost this thread, but I've just subscribed through a discount offer on digital subscriptions, and I was just wondering if any of you had any information about the subscription, do I get sales information or is it just charts on Music Week?
  14. At least it would bring some excitement back to the midweeks and the officials.
  15. The number one over Cascada on the iTunes chart was Michael Jackson - Man In The Mirror, so it was already available!
  16. I downloaded Animals months ago, and it was by Martin Garrix, definitely not a fake, it was about 60ish on iTunes. Did it get deleted?
  17. Jordin Sparks - Battlefield. It literally sounds timeless to me, a definite #1 and a song tht would eventually trickle sell a million. Awkward #11 peak position. I still hope for a resurgence after a successful X Factor audition!

The fact that E.T. is lower than Firework and has been performed somewhere (The Voice this weekend) is actually surprising!
  20. I'd be shocked if this wasn't #1
  21. 05-03 ;; Swedish House Mafia feat. John Martin - Don't You Worry Child 10-01 ;; Calvin Harris feat. Florence Welch - Sweet Nothing 12-01 ;; Disclosure feat. Sam Smith - Latch 21-00 ;; Ellie Goulding - Anything Could Happen 22-02 ;; Christina Perri - A Thousand Years 24-02 ;; P!nk - Try 31-01 ;; Little Mix - Wings 38-00 ;; David Guetta feat. Sia - She Wolf (Falling To Pieces)
  22. Am I correct in saying that entire top 8 apart from the number 1 are million sellers, or has Janet not made it either?
  23. Not arguing with what any of you are saying; just replying to the points that were given. Sight Of You isn't flopping because of lack of airplay, exposure or critical X Factor performance. It's flopping because it's just an awful song (IMO).
  24. But Cheryl was constantly slated for her performances and she still had #1's with some of the highest sales of the year after her X Factor slot, and it's been re-added to Radio 1's playlist.
  25. Surely, Sam and Mark's 2004 version should be added #1
