Idiots....
Yeah that was childish, I am sure you were not the only person in England wanting Germany to win

So, September 11th Nine Years On.....
jesus christ Chris is it any wonder Blair cancelled the book signings, I doubt it was due to protesters it was more likely because he has trouble sitting down for 2 hrs with your head shoved up his arse  Nothing I can add to this subject that Scott hasn't already said tbh, one of the FEW areas I am in total agreement

Idiots....
Community centres do have a reputation for being breeding grounds for extremists though, it would not be at all unlikely if the next 9/11 was planned within view of the last one. Community centres like this do tend to attract radicals and extremists A mosque would probably be safer
-
Idiots....
The mosque/community centre being so close to Ground Zero was disrespectful to the dead of 9/11 but it is bad that this exchange is happening as this crazed redneck will be seen as a hero now when infact he is nothing more than an oversized cockroach who should crawl back under a stone Am pleased there is no mosque near Ground Zero and am pleased no koran burning but to do it this way is appalling

Threat of double-dip recession looms
"The US is expected to grow at an annualised rate of 2% in the third quarter, slowing to 1.2% in the fourth, after 1.6% in the second quarter and 3.7% in the first three months of the year. In Japan, GDP growth is forecast at 0.7% in the fourth quarter after 0.6% in the third. The UK is set to grow at an annualised rate of 2.7% in the third quarter, slowing to 1.5% in the final three months of the year." So we are going to have stronger growth than both America and Japan later in the year ;)

Idiots....
tbf even she has condemned this :o When someone like her condemns it you know it is a f***ed up idea http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20100908/ts_al..._20100908223820 WASHINGTON (AFP) – Former US vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin on Wednesday condemned a small Florida church's planned Koran burning ceremony as an "insensitive and an unnecessary provocation." "Book burning is antithetical to American ideals," Palin, a possible Republican contender for the White House in 2012, said in a post on her Facebook page. "People have a constitutional right to burn a Koran if they want to, but doing so is insensitive and an unnecessary provocation -- much like building a mosque at Ground Zero," said the former Alaska governor. She was comparing the evangelical Christian Dove World Outreach Center's plans to torch Islam's holy book on the anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist strikes to plans to build a community center to include a mosque some two blocks from the site of the attacks in New York City. Palin urged the Koran burning organizer, Pastor Terry Jones, to reconsider the possible effects of their planned gesture, which has drawn expressions of outrage from around the globe. "It will feed the fire of caustic rhetoric and appear as nothing more than mean-spirited religious intolerance. Don't feed that fire," she said. "If your ultimate point is to prove that the Christian teachings of mercy, justice, freedom, and equality provide the foundation on which our country stands, then your tactic to prove this point is totally counter-productive." Palin noted the importance of freedom of religion in the United States and warned against "unnecessarily provoking strife."
-
Idiots....
There will probably be live cameras now at the burning with dozens of news helicopters overhead showing the bonfire live across the world whereas if the media had zipped it about this there would just be 50 nutcases gathered round a fire. I am against censorship but a huge international incident and media frenzy has been created when a news blackout would have been better.
-
Idiots....
The best way of dealing with cranks and nutcases is to not give them the oxygen of publicity but instead one inbred redneck has had Obama talking, has had the Pope, Hillary Clinton, the secretary general of the UN, Gen Patreous and others giving him publicity that he doesn't deserve, he has been all over news programs, he has been all over the net, the nutcase is lapping it up, he doesn't deserve attention, the best way to deal with him is no news, media or tv organisation to give him any publicity.
-
Idiots....
It is sheer lunacy, this freak should be locked up under inciting racial hatred charges as this will inflame the situation no end, one of the best recruiting sergeants for the taliban and al qaeda I have ever come across. The one consolation is he will probably have a fatwa taken out on him if it happens and shot between the eyes but it is everyone else who will be at risk too as this will inflame extremists against the west

Euro 2012 Qualifiers
What REALLY sets a bad example is things like diving, faking injury to get players sent off, stamping on players, being abusive to refs, those things are way higher in the role model stakes than anything Rooney or Gerrard or Terry for example get up to off the field. A kid seeing Gerrard dive is going to be far more corrupted and likely to imitate him than anything Gerrard does in his private life for example
-
Euro 2012 Qualifiers
LOL King crippled on England duty, Defoe crippled on England duty, Dawson crippled on England duty :( it is getting fukkin ridiculous :/
-
Euro 2012 Qualifiers
Nobody is seriously going to say though "Rooney sleeps with a prostitute, I must because I look up to him", that isnt the way the world works, I don't believe that footballers need to be role models other than on the pitch, loads of Gerrard fanboys didnt go and start fights because he beat up a DJ, loads of Terry fans didn't go cheating with their best mates partners etc, there is no link between the 2, he should be a role model ON the pitch but off the pitch what a footballer does is a private matter to me unless the laws of the land are broken

Is phone hacking rife in British journalism?
Anyone that cares about the subject will already know about it though, just because some of the papers cover it up you would have to live on the moon not to know about this case so the truth is out there still

Scum asshole throws dog 40 feet to its death
It is ridiculous to compare one crime with another, all crimes are evil be it Blair's war crimes or throwing a dog to its death, saying that one crime can't be condemned because Blair killed 26,000 Iraqis is ridiculous No one is saying what happened in Iraq is not worse than happened to the poor dog and Iraq should not be thrown in our faces every time we want to condemn an evil crime. I personally think he should be locked in a room with a hungry pit bull terrier, 26 weeks is pathetic

The X Factor 2010 // Series 7
Every year it has been a boy or girl so I would like to see change and see a group win or someone over 25 (28 this year I think  ) It has been a pretty average crop this year tbh really, there is only 2 that have totally blown me away Mary and a girl I can't remember the name of who did an incredible version of Creep on Xtra Factor, those are the only 2 this year that have seriously impressed me

The X Factor 2010 // Series 7
I still don't get the Cher bumming having seen a repeat of the show Very average voice, wacky personality but that was probably down to nerves as much as anything else, being young and infront of a camera for the first time infront of 15m can turn people a bit hyper I don't see any winning potential in her as she hasn't got a strong enough voice plus the majority of people that vote on X Factor are teenage girls and pre teen girls and they can be a bit bitchy about a successful girl their age and she is not cute enough to get the granny vote so I see her going in week 4 or week 5 or something Plus much as I like Cheryl it will be boring as f*** her getting the winner 3 times running and she has the girls this year

New Perspectives mod
My warning levels will be in serious danger now :o But yeah congrats

The X Factor 2010 // Series 7
I just didn't think she was that good though tbh, unlike Diana who sung brilliant versions of Man In The Mirror and Call Me, admittedly I have only heard her sing one song and need to hear more of her to properly judge but even that song she did the first 1/3 seemed out of tune at times, there was nothing in her voice that stood out for me, she was trying to become the Eminem of her genre (white person singing black ghetto music) and it just didn't work for me

Nice bit of free advertising if you can get it....
Not just a war criminal but more than likely involved in the murder of Dr Kelly too

The best decade?
70's for me by a country mile, the likes of Quo and Queen being hard rock before they got commercial, Deep Purple, Led Zepp, Eagles, Geordie, Bon Scott's AC/DC, Slade, thats just a few off the top of my head, great era
