The X Factor 2010 // Series 7
Cher wasn't BAD, I just didn't "get" her, did nothing for me, if I was a judge I would have probably said yes but I saw nothing in her that makes me think possible winner

The X Factor 2010 // Series 7
I am a huge fan of the original, am not a massive Tom fan but I loved his version of it so I judged it against that and IMHO she passed with flying colours, real power and emotion in the song from her, on top of that she made for a great story, overweight plain housewife making it as an X Factor star, Cher was just some wigga doing karaoke

The X Factor 2010 // Series 7
Cher was just nothing special, bought nothing new to the table, she is certainly not unique voice wise, Eartha Kitt was unique, Tina Turner is for example, her namesake is even, they bought something new to the table vocally, this was just a white girl who thought she was black, bog standard R+B stuff

The X Factor 2010 // Series 7

The X Factor 2010 // Series 7
I dont understand the judges excitement over Cher, I hardly understood a word she was singing and she was out of tune a fair bit at the beginning

Threat of double-dip recession looms
Growth went UP in the quarter despite all the doom and gloom the Independent are reporting, 0.5 over 3 months is not much but it is still an increase so the economy is still growing even if it is growing slowly, if that 0.5 was over the year that would be 2% GDP, not to be sniffed at. A double dip recession is a serious possibility but it will be an even more certainty if people talk Britain down, people reading this article for example will probably start being more cautious with their spending or decide on a cheaper or no holiday or change their mind about the fitted kitchen incase we get back into recession whereas people should be spending to help keep the economy up.

Definitely the groups got Simon because they smashed up his villa in Spain and he went mad and made them pay for the damage caused according to the media

Threat of double-dip recession looms
Typical you though Danny, you seem to spend your time searching the net for bad news and ways of talking this country down, it is almost as if you get a kick out of it, you never seem to report any news that is talking Britain up or is good news about the country as it doesn't fit your agenda

Euro 2012 Qualifiers
Looked like cruciate to me tbh, that same injury kept the likes of Keane and RVN out for 12 months so i don't see any quicker recovery time for Dawson tbh
-
Euro 2012 Qualifiers
Yeah Dawson is a good c**t, why can't this kinda thing happen to Terry or Cashley or someone if it gonna happen to anyone
-
Euro 2012 Qualifiers
Nice of ITV to show concern for Dawson too :manson: barely mentioned him, if that had been Theo Walcock they would have held a wake for him

Euro 2012 Qualifiers
LOL Spurs before England every day of the week for me I would rather see Spurs beat Blackpool than see England win the world cup, its Spurs all the way for me It looked to me like cruciate ligament in which case he is out for a year :/

Ugly chav couple want 2 council houses next to eachother
I have no issue at all with the ordinary benefit claimant, those that want to work should be helped and supported likewise those that have genuine medical conditions that make work difficult or impossible, no issue with them whatsoever I do have an issue with those that are claiming and not looking for and not interested in working, those that fake illnesses or medical conditions to claim benefits they are not entitled to, those that claim and do work on the side, my issue is with the scroungers and fraudsters not the genuine claimants. I don't excuse the ones who dodge taxes, if there is any evidence of tax fraud like with Lester Piggott they should be locked up but the rich are not breaking the law exploiting and taking advantage of loopholes, should the law be changed ? should the loopholes be banned ? I would not have any complaints if that happened, would support that but atm what they are doing is perfectly legal which is why I have less issue with them than I do benefit fraudsters and professional scroungers who are effectively thieving.
