  1. My dad made me listen to the White Album and I loved it Still don't like their earlier stuff but love the White Album / Sgt Pepper era
  2. I am not suggesting they are guilty merely the fact that they should not be entitled to payments when there so so many unanswered questions and when they are still prime suspects in a police investigation If they are cleared by a Portuguese court based on all the evidence and not considered suspects I will change my view with regards any payout but until then...

Was never a big fan of dance music really although it was around waaaaaaaaaaaay before the late 80's, I remember Sister Sledge, Chic and so on in the 70's and stuff like Sugarhill Gang and Grandmaster Flash in the early 80's even though they the latter were more hip hop than dance music Only real dance music I have ever taken to was the Chicago house music of late 80's and early 90's, Love Can't Turn Around by Farley Jackmaster Funk is still my all time fave dance tune
  4. The Portuguese police have far more access to evidence than their British counterparts so them being cleared by a British court is as relevant to a court in Outer Mongolia clearing them, the Portuguese authorities have far more evidence and witness statements and DNA and so on than British courts and given the fact that 10 Downing Street assigned one of their spin doctors Clarence Mitchell to the Mc Canns shows that the McCanns had a lot of influence in high places so it is safe to assume that they have friends and supporters in the judiciary too They dont deserve a single penny until they have clarified 1) Why they left the kids alone to go get drunk 2) Why they contacted Sky News before they contacted the police when they realised Madeleine was missing 3) How they can explain the presence of Madeleine's DNA inside the boot area around the area of spare tyre in their hired car 4) Why Kate McCann said to the press that a window had been forced open by the abductor yet it turned out that this had not happened and the front door had infact been left open Whether they killed Madeleine or not their gross negligence and selfishness caused her disappearance so they should not even be entitled to £5.50 let alone £550,000
  5. Ridiculous decision They are still officially "Arguidos" (Prime suspects) in the eyes of the Portuguese police so until they have been formally cleared this decision is a joke :manson: The Express can't prove they killed Madeleine, the McCann's can't prove they didn't
  6. Bloody hell :o weren't expecting that, only 54 :| RIP
  7. It is essential though that immigrants who come here prove they have respect for this country and its traditions and customs and are going to have full respect for English law so some kind of oath of allegiance is needed for immigrants, it will help them feel more British too and integrated with British life, as a republican I don't think it should be an oath to the queen but some revised oath of allegiance
  8. Shame, knew he was sick but always hoped he would recover, 54 is no age
  9. Not that fussed tbh, everyone has Sky these days anyways and those that don't can like get it if they make enough sacrifices Sky is the equivalent of 2 packets of cigarettes a week or 3-4 pints of beer

I think the whole global warming hype is grossly overated and totally overblown by the media and left wing politicians but I do think there is an element of truth in what they say
  13. As the saying goes in this country "he had a good innings"

I am old enough to remember some of the snowy winters of the 1970's and mid 1980's where snow would lie on the ground for weeks and there would be drifts of 12-15ft and a foot or more of lying snow so the fact that it is a miracle even in snowy areas like Scotland, Pennines, Newcastle etc if snow lasts on the ground more than 24 hrs that the climate has definitely got warmer, we had arctic conditions with blizzards and deep snow (Rob and Russ will remember), now it is like a 24 hr event before warm air moves in from the Atlantic so if that is not related to global warming / climate change I would be surprised

I think the whole global warming thing is massively overhyped but I do think there is an element of truth in it Extreme weather events in various parts of the world seem to be on the increase in recent years and the traditional 1970's style UK snow fests have all but been wiped out and replaced with 2 day topplers so the weird weather has to in my opinion be linked with some sort of warming but the hype is excessive
  16. The standing of soldiers in society is overblown They do a noble job defending this country but anyone who lives anywhere near a barracks or army town would know on a Friday and Saturday night it is like a bad night in Vietnam with tanked up squaddies acting worse than chavs
  17. No I don't think they should but incoming immigrants should take an oath of allegiance to Britain as part of their right to stay here
  18. I have no problem with the idea These are the senior executives of Great Britain PLC and were they working in the private sector in senior management jobs they would be earning 3 or 4 times what they earn as MP's so I have no problem them being compensated The Prime Minister earns less than a marketing or IT director does in a medium to large company and that is absurd
  19. First Hamilton and now bloody Man City :manson: :manson: and they cheated for their first goal What a day
  20. tbf to Kimi he was always playing catch up due to circumstances beyond his control in qualifying so had to take a lot more risks than usual hence almost harpooning Rubens a couple of times too, he had to take a lot of risks to get past people , Hamilton had the luxury of a lapdog all afternoon, Kimi had to take massive risks so always more chance of some not coming off And the outbreaking himself with Heikki wasn't his fault either, because of incompetent strategy with the safety car and not changing tyres Kimi's tyres were shot to pieces to that is why he went off like that as opposed to anything he personally did, he just had no grip Really can't work out why Ferrari didn't pit Kimi under the safety car :manson: I really think that Ferrari left strategy to a kid on work experience or something
  21. Yeah Beckham is a great role model Has a clean living lifestyle, doesn't drink much, keeps himself fit, doesn't get caught drink driving, fighting, getting thrown out of nightclubs totally incapable etc, he is a family man and he also puts a lot back into the community with his soccer schools and so on so I have a lot of respect for the guy Beckham is worth 1 million John Terry's, Rio Ferdinand's, Joey Barton's, Gazza's, Djibril Cisse's etc
  22. Thats what I like about Simon Cowell, he gives these idiots a reality check when they think they will make millions through X Factor even though they sound worse than nails scraping down a blackboard
  23.    Nothing more I can say
  24. Everyone has tried this "research" thing since Pete Townsend and again like Langham the judges haven't fallen for it ^_^ Sounds like he will die soon which will save us taxpayers money I don't think it will effect the song because he was only the bass player and not the lead singer or anything, I still heard Shang A Lang on the radio after that Bay City Rollers guy was convicted etc
  25. He was getting over the death of Linda, this leech moved in on him, when people go through traumatic stuff they often can't think straight and act out of character, stumpy was probably very nice to him and there for him when he was down as she lured him into her web of gold digging to get his money
