  1. The whole thing needs restructuring It is ridiculous that countries with a strong history in Eurovision including previous winners are shunted out and sidelined by Mickey Mouse countries in musical terms who have only recently taken part in Eurovision There should be a seeding system where say 16 countries are automatically included based on their long term performances and results over the years and then no more than 2 Eastern Bloc countries and then the others chosen on the basis of lottery or something Eurovision is a farce now
  2. He should be chemically castrated so that he can no longer breed
  3. What if it turns out they didn't do it ? A scenario for you Suppose a family member of yours a brother or an uncle or even Rob was arrested for a murder they never committed and convicted and jailed for life (it happens a lot) do you think they should be tortured ?
  4. True but there have been so many cases David Bentley Birmingham 6 Guildford 4 That headmaster that was convicted of murdering his daughter Eddie Browning Thats just 5 off the top of my head, with a bit of research I could probably make that 500 I am in favour of life meaning life, mandatory whole life tariff for murder and at least that way if new evidence is found then they can be released
  5. 99.9 is like 10 times the size of the IQ of 99.9% of Sun readers, their opinions should not be taken seriously I wonder how soon they would change their minds when a friend, family member or whatever was wrongfully convicted of murder and executed
  6. A die hard Republican staying at home is the equivalent of a vote for a Democrat, it simply won't happen mate
  7. Yes it is a rip off It is outrageous that we have to pay like double in tax compared with other nations It is a sad state of affairs where it is actually cheaper for a haulier to take a lorry on a ferry to France and fill it up with petrol (uncluding the ferry fare) than it is for him to take his lorry to the local BP station
  8. Yes the railways and utilities like gas water and electricity should be renationalised without a shadow of a doubt
  9. Absolute no Way too many miscarriages of justice and people wrongly convicted of murder later to be cleared for the death penalty to be considered Utterly opposed to the idea You can't release a dead man when he is later found not to have done it
  10. "Meet the new boss same as the old boss" That lyric is very fitting for this situation Putin will still be pulling the strings

Doubt Keegan will last the season now We didn't do any better today though      turned over big time by a bunny team :manson: :manson: :manson: Good time to wash my Spurs shirts I think because I am too f***ing ashamed to wear them between now and Thursday after that shower of $h!t today
  12. Will be interesting to see how Lewis does given his performances last season in the Silver Ferrari, now he knows the tracks he will have no excuses I want Kimi or Massa to win the WDC though
  13. Ridiculous calling Kim Wilde rock :manson: Did she appear at places like Reading Rock Festival and Donnington Monsters Of Rock ? did Tommy Vance play her music on the Friday Rock Show ? did she ever appear as a warm up act to the likes of AC/DC, Rainbow, Scorpions, Saxon and so on ? NO on all counts She was a POP singer
  14. I do think that they deserve to be in the Hall Of Fame though Admittedly they never bought anything new to the table musically but they made a big impact on America and the Ed Sullivan show and sold 100m+ records around the world so being a British band that were massive in America which is essentially where the Hall of Fame originates from I think they had enough success to justify an entry even if they offered nothing new musically
  15. There is also quite a lot of dislike of blacks among the Hispanic community as well as a significant number of whites so even if lets say 1-2m don't vote for him on the grounds of his skin colour that would be enough to swing the presidency tbh even if it is a small number of American voters compared with the size of the population And that is if some white supremacist doesn't put a bullet into Obama on the campaign trail

Political correctness has definitely played a major part, even Churchill has been dropped from history teachings in schools in the UK now and that is disgraceful, it should be compulsary to learn about people like Churchill in schools and his work but hey with Paris Hiton and Beckham and Nikki Graham about who needs Churchill in modern society  There is no excuse for ignorance
  17. When you look outside the cheesy fluff that the DC5 did Smith was for me one of the all time great British vocalists in terms of power and delivery, sure much of what he did with DC5 was $h!te but he still sung it brilliantly but it was his latter stuff that I will remember him for i.e Mike Smith's Rock Engine and the 2 albums "Good time rock n roll" and "More good time rock n roll", his version of "Bring It On Home To Me" was 2nd only to Sam Cooke's version for me out of the god knows how many different renditions of the classic song I have heard Having heard him outside of all the cheesy fluff of the DC5 I would put him among the 3 or 4 best British vocalists I have ever heard
  18. Even if he gets the nomination I still seriously doubt he will get the presidency itself America has a very strong racist underbelly to it and I have no doubt the colour of his skin will be a big factor on polling day
  19. None of them they were truly dire lol
  20. Love Is A Battlefield for me
  21. Its not a question of issues really its a question of trust and competence, Gore scores highly on competence and trust whereas Hillary I do not trust and Obama is totally unproven so there has to be doubts about his competence I am not a Democrat fan tbh but Gore impresses me
  22. Shame, one of the great British music voices although particularly with Mike Smith's Rock Engine and the Good Old Rock N Roll medley Anyone who doubts the brilliance of his voice should check out his versions of Bring It On Home and Lawdy Miss Clawdy As for his death it is sad but he had been very ill for a long time so not entirely unexpected RIP
  23. Prince Andrew served in the Falklands flying helicopters and dodging Argie missiles and he is of as much importance in the royal heirachy as Harry is and there was never any fuss about Andrew Harry wants to fight and it would be bad for morale him having special treatment so fair play to him
  24. If I was American and Al Gore stood for the presidency as Democrat candidate I would give very serious consideration for voting for him even though I lean towards the GOP Gore would be better than Obama and Hillary put together
  25. That is an extreme example though, McCain does not think that way infact he is utterly opposed to stuff like Guantanamo Bay and has been the prime advocate of the ending of torture for terror suspects, human rights will be strong under McCain, while stuff like banning gay marriages would cause some inconvenience to gays it is different from internment and that kind of thing, McCain isn't into that stuff and I am so confident that Huckabee will not be his VP that I will never make another post on BJ if he is chosen, I am that certain he won't be, Huckabee has 0 political influence and is just sticking in the race for self promotion and massaging his ego, come Texas and the other poll in a few days McCain will win the nomination outright anyways. The regimes in the East are based on religion where religion is used as a tool to keep the people in check and used against the people as a means to violate human rights, McCain does not hold much importance to religion so again its an extreme example
