  1. Forms for licences, processing of forms for licences, administration, entering all the details of everyone who has a licence on a national database, software to link the database with the police so they can do instant checks Am sure there is more At least a couple more rainforests will have to be chopped down to provide paper for all these civil servants
  2. How will this stop kids getting an older brother / older sister / random guy off the street who already has one of these licences to get cigarettes ? The difference in under age smoking will be negligible, the difference in red tape, bureaucracy, civil servants... will be massive
  3. I would sooner buy a used car off Arthur Daley than believe a word of Wenger Look at the Scum team in 5 years time it will be full of players from countries 90% of people couldn't identify on a map with 1 token Englishman on the bench
  4. It will be a travesty if the Scum win the title this season, I am quietly confident they won't win it but if they do it will be a disaster for the game given that they don't have English players in the team
  5. Man Utd v Chelsea final :manson:
  6. They are CL specialists Matt, this is the competition they seem to give most priority to over a season, after the humilliation across the globe against Barnsley they will be more motivated than ever to get something out of this game I have £20 riding on there not being an Inter win ;) I am either going to look a prize tit or a genius in a couple of days on here :P
  7. Who would have given Liverpool a hope against Milan couple of years back in the final ? who would have given whatever British team won away at the Nou Camp a year or maybe 2 years ago back a chance ? no one I can see the game being a draw or Liverpool win
  8. Foreign players do help though :) Edgar Davids was a massive influence on the likes of O Hara and Lennon who he used to give 1 to 1 private coaching sessions to after training, young footballers are lads who 2 or 3 years ago were kicking balls in the street wearing replica shirts of their heroes so the chance of playing next to their heroes is likely to inspire them even more, the cream always rises to the top, sure less journeymen/squad players will make the grade who are home grown but the really talented ones will get better because of working alongside established superstars
  9. Going back to the point at hand I really don't see the big deal tbh, selling loads of shirts in Asia and America which is the prime objective of this exercise will make all premiership clubs more competitive in the global transfer market financially leading to better quality players for the season ticket holders of these clubs to see play Season ticket holders will still get to see their 38 games in the UK so its not as if anyone is losing out by this I would prefer it if they were non points scoring matches / exhibition games but if it is going to improve the standard of the premiership then I am all for it
  10. You are getting a bit carried away there. Premiership is good but how many TRULY world class stars have come over here from abroad to play in the premiership when they are already established world stars ? not even Chelsea with their £200k a week wages have been able to attract the likes of Kaka, Gattuso, Messi, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and similar, most of the foreigners that have come here have been unproven youngsters who were not world class at time of joining (Fabregas, Essien for example), has been's on one last pay day (half the Bolton team for instance) or flops from other leagues (Adebayor, that guy who scores loads for Blackburn who got about 1 in 10 in Germany) so I would put the Premiership behind Serie A and La Liga in terms of both quality of players and teams.
  11. The first thing they should be doing if they want to get younger people interested in politics and helping to shape the future of the nation is not PR stunts like this but lowering the voting age to 16
  12. Who is there to replace him ? Its all the well people saying Rafa out but who could come in who is available and accepted by the fans who could do a better job ? Mourinho would never win the fans over and the yanks are hated enough as it is so would want a popular manager, the likes of Jol, Redknapp, Allardyce are not good enough for that level, the very top CL managers are already employed by clubs, Klinsmann has gone to Bayern so who is there that could come in and do a better job than Rafa ? no one comes to mind
  13. Liverpool are CL specialists don't bet against them pulling off a draw or even a win against Milan
  14. That would solve one problem but cause a new one, massively increased crime particularly street robberies and shop lifting as people would be stealing or mugging to eat as much as any other reason as well as us paying a lot more for food and so on to counter the effects of shoplifting There are plenty of jobs around so stronger steps to ensure people are looking for work is the way forward and getting these people into jobs, there is no reason why any able bodied person in this country should be without work, simply stopping benefits with no work to go to would lead to lots of crime
  15. Bands Gary Holton (Auf Wiedersehen Pet was lead singer of Heavy Metal Kids) Gary Kemp (Spandau Ballet / The Krays) Keanu Reeves (Dogstar) Solo Jimmy Nail Clint Eastwood Telly Savalas Clive Dunn Kylie Dannii Jason Donovan Stefan Dennis
  16. I am more against the idea than for it tbh It is just a matter of time before another brutal civil war breaks out, these individual nations in the Balkans will never be at peace and will never get along, under the old Yugoslavia umbrella particularly under General Tito there was peace and everyone was held together
  17. Another gimmick "They will end up with a Left-wing geek who wants to be a career politician and does not have the slightest clue what young people want." - FULL TRUTH
  18. I think it is a bit patronising tbh Many of the countries richest men were bought up on council estates such as Bernie Ecclestone, Alan Sugar, Philip Green and so on and they have become super rich and anyways being bought up in tough conditions can actually inspire working class people to achieve so that they do not have to put their kids through what they went through Of course many people on council estates are lost causes along with their feral offspring but I dont think being bought up on a council estate should be considered a deterrent to hard work
  19. Well I can't speak for every area but certainly in my area we have been advised not to drink tap water I only ever use bottled water and even use the stuff to clean my teeth
  20. Brown really is losing his marbles at a rapid rate of knots its quite sad to see the decline in the mental health of the man This would be the best news the FRENCH economy has ever had
  21. Utterly ridiculous :manson: It would encourage people to go to prison who can't get jobs or are on really low incomes or whatever prison should be about punishment and some education thrown in not f***ing rewarding people :manson: I would rather see £10k being given to victims of crime not criminals
  22. I like the idea of it but it should only be applied on occasions where lawlessness and unruly behaviour is actually occuring, it is not fair to target a group of kids just bored and not breaking any laws, if they are acting chavvy and smashing bus shelters or doing graffiti or shouting noisily in the streets and so on then use it but if there is no misbehaviour going on seems unfair
  23. I was against the olympics going to China in the first place and even wrote to my MP expressing my disgust at the decision to award it to Beijing, I am old enough to remember the events of Tiannamen Square unfolding and that was one of the most disgusting things I ever remember witnessing, add to that other human rights abuses, the threatening of Taiwan and Tibet and their treatment of animals I find China regime one of the vilest nations on the planet but much as I was disgusted by the decision of the games to go to China I think now that the decision as been made that it should be remembered for its athletics and as a sporting spectacle, making a political circus of the whole thing will be unfair to athletes who have trained for years to go to the games and so on so now that the decision has been made I think nothing should distract from making the games a success for the athletes and having the games remembered for world records and not political statements I agree with what you have said
  24. While I rarely wish ill feeling on anyone I do think the fact that Charlton Heston is now an incontinent vegetable riddled with bed sores is karma for the fact that he is responsible for much of this $h!t, he has been the leader of the pro gun lobby and the VILE NRA for decades till his illness and they and their attitudes is what is causing $h!t like this to happen. Charlton Heston has a lot of blood on his hands for when he has his appointment with satan

Stay as you are Sarah, the national average for women is 14 anyways so in the grand scheme of things you are below the national average, ignore your "friends" and don't feel pressured, just be yourself and stuff what they think, if they want to starve themselves into an eating disorder thats up to them but just be yourself and sod what they think, 12 ain't fat whatsoever Don't feel pressured
