Apart from appeasing the fans what are the benefits in giving Shearer the job ? he has no experience of management whatsoever, a job on the scale of Newcastle needs to be done by an experienced manager, Shearer would be a disaster for them

While I would never abuse someone who I call up at a call centre anyone that phones me up at home selling me stuff I don't want is fair game as far as I am concerned, I don't want my personal space invaded by anyone trying to sell me stuff especially in the evening when I am relaxing after a days work, so anyone who does gets told to f*** off and literally, I wish I had a whistle I could blow down the phone to the buggers

Muslims can't have their cake and eat it mate, they have no right to come here and impose their religion on others while at the same time denying other religions the free right to practice in muslim countries, if it was down to me I would close down every damn mosque in the country simply on the grounds that muslim states will not allow churches and synagogues in their own lands When I was in Qatar which was at the time a strict Islamic state non muslim places of worship were forbidden, you were allowed to practice your religion on your own compound or in the privacy of your own home but there were no churches or synagogues so why should they be allowed mosques in this country, freedom works 2 ways mate

While I agree with most of what has been said here the elderly deserve more allowances to be made for them Were it not for the elderly we would be goose stepping our way to work in the mornings while wearing nazi uniform, the elderly and their efforts in the war are the reason why we have a lot more freedom in this country today so they deserve respect, so what if they are a bit grumpy, most have a number of health problems and ailments and are not as mobile as younger people so if they are a bit grumpy who wouldn't be ? grumpy teenagers are in good health and very mobile, f*** if I was 84 years old and had ailments and shuffled about I would be a miserable old bugger too, society has to respect its elders, they have earned that respect in the war

I was messing about supermarkets hence the wink :P but Asda this morning was a very frustrating experience with kids running wild in the place and screaming brat at checkout etc

You still haven't convinced me Jonny I am not talking about restaurants where there is nothing wrong with kids sitting at a restaurant table and the parents having alcohol but what I am very against is kids being allowed in bars and saloon areas of pubs that is a place for adults to be adults and last thing need is annoying bored kids running around the place, pubs are a place for men (and women) to escape the home and escape the kids so it devalues a pub totally if kids are there, might as well stay at home I do not mind kids sitting at a table with family in an enclosed designated restaurant area but they can bugger off in terms of the main bar, and saloon areas of pubs Also kids being bought up in a pub environment at an early age are far more likely to become binge drinkers in the same way that kids who are bought up in a violent household are likely to turn to violence themselves Kids should be banned from pubs and confined only to a sealed off restaurant area if at all, oh and ban them from supermarkets too ;)

It is not the fault of the workers but I can understand the frustration of the public who have to call these call centres When NTL was Indian call centre it was like "Hello NTL Abdul speaking how may I help you" "hello Abdul my name is Mr Thompson and I am having trouble connecting to the internet" "Mr Thomas what is your account number ?" "No, it is Thompson !!" "can you spell that please "Sure, T H..........."and you feel like going aaaaaaaarrrrrrrggggghhhhhh and thats before have even explained what the problem is and then once they have understood you at the 10th time of repeating yourself they read out stuff from a pre arranged script and tell you it might be your pc and so on :manson: I can understand the frustration of callers although of course there is no need for abuse, but like Russ now I will not place any business with a company that has indian customer service

No should not be allowed I lived in Qatar for a period and it was bloody annoying being woken up at 5am by sirens and klaxons summoning muslims to prayer, fine if they want to do that in Qatar but why should it happen here and inconvenience the indigenous non muslim majority ?

Children should be banned from pubs full stop Pubs are a place for adults to have a bit of banter and a few drinks and swear like troopers and so on and should be able to do that without pesky kids traipsing around

What can be done though ? The chinese have a restriction on the number of kids someone can have but it would be impossible to police effectively Previous generations have had big wars that have resulted in a big population cull but that doesn't happen these days The catholic church reforming and accepting contraception would help but I fail to see what solution there is for the population explosion

Unless she accepts help real soon and makes a determined effort to get her life back on track it would not surprise me in the slightest to wake up to an RIP thread on here

She is not in a fit state to be looking after the kids atm either physically or mentally so I see no other alternative

Hugs is the last thing she needs, all these sycophants around her are part of the problem not the solution, hugs and kisses and so on are the worst thing, what she needs is a Jeremy Kyle stlye earbashing to knock some sense into her I think the time has maybe come where she needs to be sectioned, if she is refusing to acknowledge her problems and / or is refusing to get help for them then I think that she should maybe be sent to some hospital by compulsary order where she will get treatment, help and counselling whether she likes it or not and only be released when her problems are adequately sorted to the point where it is safe to release her

She brings the attention on herself though, she should keep a low profile, stay out of the public eye and concentrate on getting help for her problems, how could she not expect media attention when she goes out in public wearing no knickers and flashes as she is getting in a car ? how can she not expect media attention when she is shaving off all her hair ? how can she not expect media attention when she is out partying with Paris Hilton ? how can she not expect media attention when she is crashing her car etc etc etc sorry but he erratic behaviour brings press to her like it would bring flies to a dog turd, she should stay out of the public eye and keep a low profile and focus her life on getting help because the more erratic she behaves the more media attention she is going to get

I have had an addiction but I realised that I was hurting my loved ones through it and got help for it and never went back down that road again, why can't she ? she has been self destructing for years with her erratic behaviour I have far more sympathy with poor people who can not afford good counselling or can't afford rehab than I do with a multi millionairess that can afford the best doctors, counsellors and rehab in the world I never have respect for people that can't and won't respect themselves, I will respect her when she respects herself and starts getting treatment for her problems
