How much money will the enconomy lose
The security problems of previous Home Nations tournaments make it non practical to hold them again, there is a history of hooliganism with England v Scotland for instance Plus I want to see Spurs players resting in the summer and keeping fit not tiring themselves out in meaningless matches for England

Gary Glitter
Given he committed back to back offences in 2 seperate countries so soon after each other suggests to me that he is very likely to reoffend again so on that basis he should not be allowed back into this country as the chances of reoffending are extremely high

How much money will the enconomy lose
Will make no real difference England not being there, won't affect the economy at all, the viewing figures for non England games in world cup and Euro's are still very high so there will be still lots of people gathered round the tv guzzling beer while watching Holland play Germany

US says it has right to kidnap British citizens
Are we any better ? Didn't we send a team of mercenaries in to abduct Ronnie Biggs and bring him to the UK for trial ?

School nativity plays under threat
Again its middle class WHITES who are deciding what they think is best for minorities :manson: But as ever the headline in the Sun and Daily Mail will be "muslims ban school nativity play" when infact it was WHITES who decided for them

More expulsions of violent children overruled
The headmaster should be the SOLE decision maker, none of the politically correct governers or any of that, it should be up to the headmaster and his decision final

Teacher charged over teddy row named Muhammad
It's their culture ffs :manson: she should have known and researched their culture If someone goes to Singapore and drops gum on the street and gets jailed would you say "its only gum ffs who cares, no offence caused" you probably would but it is THEIR law's and when someone is in another country they have to abide by that country's laws, English law and tradition means bugger all in someone else's territory You would probably say a guy wearing very short shorts in Qatar is no big deal but tough $h!t its their rules

madeleine
Past caring tbh Thousands more missing kids in Britain get not 1,000,000th of the attention Madeleine got, the whole media circus and publicity whoring by her parents and the media obsession with her made me feel very apathetic towards the whole thing

Teacher charged over teddy row named Muhammad
Thanks, yeah I did a stint living and working out in Qatar a few years back, before I went I did a lot of research and looked into the things I could and could not do out there as it was MY responsibility to make sure I fitted in with the customs and traditions out there and clearly this woman didn't and probably just waltzed into Sudan thinking she owned the place. Like for instance with Qatar the religious police frown VERY heavily on guys wearing shorts above the knee, in the west little englanders might find that bizarre but it is THEIR culture and up to us to respect that so the simple thing to do was wear shorts that were knee length or lower, not up to us to dictate to them what is right and wrong it is up to us to fit in with their cultures and traditions, this woman didn't and she got her fingers burnt, a football yob with shaven head and tattoos can walk around in Benidorm bare chested and wearing union jack shorts but in Qatar he does it he will have an extended time in the company of the police, his tough $h!t, up to him to learn the rules and customs of the area Just like I expect people coming into this country to respect OUR culture so I expect us going to other countries to respect theirs

While I do on the surface find the idea of a teddy bear causing so much offense rather bizarre the fact is westerners and foreigners going into another country have to respect that country's rules, customs and traditions if you visit a country, especially a particularly strict or sensitive one, its on your head (sometimes literally) to do the homework and make sure you stay on the right side of their culture. the world isnt some playground for rich white people to f**k around in and if the locals dont like you you just bomb them, its real life with real, deeply held beliefs and cultures you are dropping yourself into Its arrogant to judge other cultures based on our owns values and history and the sooner people understand that some thing will always be seen differently the sooner we can find middle ground I may come across like condoning or agreeing with these things, i most certainly do not what i try to do is defend the cultures and beliefs of others when i see the "middle englanders" attacking things they don't understand, I defend any countries right to follow their own legal structure and apply it to residents there, even if wrong, unless the people of that country are oppressed and dont have the ability to change it The rise of islamophobia in this country and the west sickens me at times and as well as anything else it plays right into the hands of extremists who see us as the enemy and make us an even bigger fukkin target, some of the posts in this thread really make me ashamed to be British.

50% of the population is CHRISTIAN Russ, why should christians suffer because of the antics of a handful of islamic crackpots ? I don't agree with the principle of aid but since we do give it it makes no sense to condemn christians to death over the antics of a few thousand muslims

Teacher charged over teddy row named Muhammad
One thing that confuses me is if naming a teddy bear Mohammed is so offensive and the name Mohammed is sacred in Islam why is there no jail sentences for mums who name their baby boy's Mohammed ? Mohammed is probably at least as popular if not more popular name in Islam for a boy than any other name so if its an offence to name a teddy Mohammed then it should be one to name a child Mohammed  :manson:

Teacher charged over teddy row named Muhammad
The fact she is British is the reason for all this, if she was South African or Brazillian or whatever this would not have happened, she is being used as a tool for the battle of Islam v the west, the reason why Islam is so hostile to the west and incidents like this occur is because of stuff like Iraq where we without any mandate slaughtered 20,000 muslims in cold blood in Shock and Awe, occupied a sovereign muslim nation and stole its oil, our unswerving support of Israeli genocide against palestinians and so on, before we start slagging off muslims and calling them names we gotta look in the fukkin mirror as to why muslims all over the world hate us, this woman is effectively a hostage, a propaganda tool against the west. Instead of slagging off muslims we should be slagging off the likes of Bush and Blair for fuelling the hatred islam has of us

Free speech
It is up to the courts and parliament to ban the BNP, if they did I would fully support it as such views of Griffin have no place in a civilised society but until such time as the BNP is banned they should have the same rights as any other party do, ban the BNP and membership of the BNP ? great idea, but until it is done then Griffin should be entitled to the same freedom of speech as Brown, Cameron and so on
-
Free speech
They are not a BANNED party Scott so as long as that is the case then they are entitled to voice their view, whether I think the BNP should be banned is a different matter but in the eyes of the law they are entitled even to take out party political broadcasts on tv and campaign like any other party so I don't sit comfortably with the idea of silencing a totally legal party however vile and abhorrent their views Hamza is an individual who was preaching hate from a mosque he was not a political party or political leader, Griffin heads a legalised political party albeit a vile one so as long as the BNP is a legal party then Griffin should be allowed to say what he wants

Brown under fire over donations
What in my opinion cost Labour the 92 election was that nauseating Sheffield party rally where Kinnock made a complete tit of himself and also The Sun's "will the last person to leave britain please turn out the lights", those 2 things cost Kinnock victory I reckon as many floating voters were scared by what The Sun said or hated Kinnock's arrogance at the Sheffield rally

Brown under fire over donations
Most of that stuff happened in the later stages of the Major administration and likewise that is one of the big reasons why the public tired of Major and wanted a change, Major was a competent guy totally out of his depth and likewise the Brown administration feels very much like the dying days of the Major administration Unless Cameron totally f***s up or Brown pulls an amazing rabbit out of the hat I really don't see any way that Labour will win the next election
-
Brown under fire over donations
Totally undignified end to a Labour administration, its pathetic watching them grubbily cling to power when the country wants Cameron in charge, the longer Brown clings on to power with gaffe after gaffe and corruption scandal after corruption scandal the bigger the beating at the hands of Cameron at the next election, the game is up for Labour now, Brown should just call a general election and leave office with a bit of dignity intact as the longer he clings on the more damage he is doing to Labour and its chances of reelection in 2 or 3 elections time The people of this country want Cameron in charge so come on Brown do the right thing
