Jol
Time will tell Matt but this is a guy that has won 2 UEFA Cups, a world club championship, a couple of domestic cups, nearly won La Liga with a squad built up on less money than Real or Barca would pay for a squad player and in his tenure has beaten Real and Barca between them 7 times, he is hugely respected in Spain and was also the bookies favourite for the Chelsea job, he knows his onions My concern is his lack of English, it is said to be very poor but he has Gus Poyet to handle the English side of things When Ramos met Levy, Kemsley and co he produced a 32 page blueprint on how he would change things at Spurs and the board were so impressed since then he has been able to name his own price Ramos truly is a world class manager, that does not mean he will succeed at Spurs, only time will tell but this guy is a true pro

Jol
Jol had to go, plain and simple, several reasons 1) Training - He is responsible for training and some of the things that went on in training were shocking, Robbo was allowed to train on his own away from the rest of the team - WHY ? the guy is the goalie ffs how can the team practice defending set pieces and corners and so on when their goalie is not taking part in this training ? the fact we are so weak on crosses and set pieces particularly Robbo is down to training and a lot of that is down to Jol, he is the boss at training he should say "Robbo f*** off you are training with us or you are not getting paid" 2) Training (2) - Spurs train the least out of any premiership team, when Ghaly went to Birmingham he was shocked that they had to train TWICE a day, at Spurs they trained in the morning and that was it, is it any wonder we concede so many bloody late goals with Jol not training the players hard enough ? he should have had them training twice a day building up stamina, again down to JOL 3) Tactics - Jol was a joke tactically, played so many players out of position, Lennon on the left (he is a right winger) played Tiaino on the left at times (he is a central midfielder) played Jenas on the right and Ghaly and Malbranque (again central midfielders), taking off a STRIKER when 3-1 DOWN against Newcastle with 20 mins to go and bought on a defensive midfielder, his playing of players out of position was like something out of the Keystone Cops 4) Recruiting and retaining talent - In order to attract top players and RETAIN the likes of Berbatov and Lennon we need to be at the sharp end of the table, top players will not come to us in a relegation dogfight Jol is a nice guy but he is tactically inept and is as useful on the training ground as a sticking plaster is in the event of a burst artery He had to go As for Bent give the guy a chance :manson: he has started 5 games and scored 3 goals, he has come on for 5 or 10 mins off the bench in the other games so can't be expected to do much in the quick runouts he has had

Jol
£3.5m a year Smart decision by him, he has taken Seville as far as he can, they don't have the financial muscle to compete with Real and Barca
-
Jol
The big probs this year have been Robbo and Dawson Robbo at his best has looked like David James at his worst and when he has been at his worst.... Dawson has been an absolute joke this season, has gone in one season from a Carragher / Terry level player to a Titus Bramble level player, poor coaching from Jol has to be the main reason  Ramos is a man of steel and the players are going to have to work their guts off for him as he does not take any $h!t off anyone so will be interesting to see how the players start performing Jol had to go, the results made his position untenable
-
Jol
Again the rumours are that it could be a lot sooner, maybe as soon as next week ^_^ rumours of £3.3m compensation to Seville
-
Jol
He was sacked ^_^ This news was a known rumour on the Stock Exchange in mid afternoon He has acccepted a £4m pay off Ramos taking over ^_^^_^

UK 'will swell to 75m' as migrants raise births
As has already been said the NHS is not over stretched and if it is it is not because of immigrants it is because of too many managers and administrators and not enough nurses and doctors, more money is being put into the NHS than ever before but it is being lost in a giant management black hole where the emphasis is on government performance targets and league tables instead of patient care, if the money going into the NHS was used properly there would be no crisis, to blame it on foreigners is illogical nonsense straight out of a Nick Griffin dinner party, the NHS has never been better funded, instead of blaming foreigners blame managers ! And being English/British is an outdated concept we are Europeans now, the Treaty Of Rome allows for complete free movement of labour and travel within the EU so likewise while Poles and Bulgarians are taking advantage of better working conditions and pay here so anyone from England is entitled to go out anywhere in Europe and work freely, thats just part of being European, we are doing well as a nation in business because of the Euro instead of loads of seperate currencies, we are saving a lot of money on holiday because of one single currency so we have to accept the negatives with the positives To blame "foreigners" on the NHS probs (the NHS has been f***ed for 30 years through management) is absurd

F1 Season 2007
Depends on the car McLaren will be hampered by the FIA checks on the MP4-24 and by being in the smallest garage in the paddock and also $100m hole in their budget next season so it would not be a surprise if Ferrari is faster next season. Lewis has potential yes but will depend on the car he is given

F1 Season 2007
Exactly Ron is saying that the drivers benefitted from this "illegal" fuel and therefore should be punished so presumably he feels the same now then that his drivers should be punished over Stepney-Gate as the drivers benefitted from the team's cheating ;) amazing how selective his memory is, maybe he has alzheimers or something as he seems to forget that only 6 weeks ago he said that it is unfair to punish the drivers for a team mistake (Stepney-Gate) And Mike Gascoyne one of the most respected technical guys in F1 has said that this so called advantage worked out to around 1 sec over the entire race so no difference at all given the Beemers were about half a minute ahead of Hamilton If Dennis wants drivers punished for a team error like in Brazil then equally Hamilton should lose all his WDC points ;)
-
F1 Season 2007
Dennis should just shut up and move on, dragging this out does not good for the sport I really think hamilton himself wants to win his first wdc out on a race track that way it would feel an achievement, winning it in some smoke filled courtroom on a minor technicality would make his first title a joke and he knows it I hope Mosley picks up the phone to Dennis and advises him that if he does not drop the case that the FIA inspections of the 2008 car will be painstakingly slow and will only end the night before Melbourne therefore losing McLaren loads of testing and development time
-
F1 Season 2007
Dennis is planning to appeal :manson: After all Dennis and McLaren have done to destroy the "sport's" image this season with their cheating and the lack of penalties for Hamilton then Dennis doing this is a despicable and graceless act, this is like a convicted burglar suing a householder for negligence because they left a window slightly ajar on a hot summer's night. Hamilton being declared champion now in a courtroom would seriously damage Hamilton's image and credibility too, I hope he has the good sense to tell Ron to get a fukkin grip and stop damaging his and the sport's image any further

Police: stop more black suspects
Agreed I am old enough to remember Brixton and Broadwater Farm and Toxteth and Handsworth and so on and the same will happen again if blacks start to be victimised and harrassed by the police, many of whom are racist Police should only stop someone if there is evidence of a crime

F1 Season 2007
It never happens Dan Look at crashes in recent years like Kubica, Firman, Trulli, McNish and several others where the driver had a spectacular one and escaped without a scratch, there has not been a fatality since 1994 and not been a bad injury since 2002, its virtually impossible to get injured in an F1 crash now All I want tomorrow is for Hamilton to DNF, if that means a crash or a puncture or a mechanical failure I don't give a damn so long as he does not finish the race, don't wan to see him hurt but if he crashes out or retires I will cheer so loud the entire street will hear me
