video games and violence?
Probably but don't blame the games blame the child I watched very violent movies from about the age of 10 and never went and attacked or killed anyone Games never existed in my youth apart from Space invaders and Pacman so cant comment on games but certainly movies did not bring out violent in my as I had morals

Disabled 15 year-old girl to lose womb
But it will be decided on the basis of legality, if it succeeds and she has her womb cut out do you really believe that it would be an isolated one off case ? it won't, this goes ahead then the floodgates are open and hundreds of these operations will end up being performed on the grounds of "it was ok for their daughter so I want it done to mine too" and then watch dozens of legal test cases over having stuff done to people with other illnesses in the name of "compassion" If this was a one off isolated case and was never to happen again it might slightly change my way of thinking but it won't, this succeeds then the floodgates are open

Disabled 15 year-old girl to lose womb
But where does it end ? This goes through and the operation is carried out then it enters very dangerous territory in the name of "compassion" ethics have to take priority over compassion however much a family is going through, where does it end ? this will be done to likely hundreds of kids in the name of compassion then adults with disabilities will be carved up and then it will extend to people with diseases and cutting healthy bits out of cancer patients to help ease their pain and so on. No one likes to see a relative suffer course not but ethics have to win in this case and every case over compassion

Disabled 15 year-old girl to lose womb
I mean play god in the sense of this situation, while the poor girls quality of life is not what would be wished on even a worst enemy the fact is her condition is not life threatening and while I can sort of understand where the parents are coming from from a compassionate point of view I think this going ahead sets a very very dangerous precedent indeed and would open the floodgates to people with all sorts of disabilities and conditions having god knows what done to them. I remember a case in America a while back of a disabled girl having all sorts of stuff done to her so that she stays a child forever and just don't want to see this sort of thing happen here, playing with nature reminds me immediately of Josef Mengele

Why are foreigners more employable than the British?
The indigenous population don't want to do certain types of jobs and consider it beneath them to be doing them so if foreign labour is filling these jobs then I see no problem London Transport recruited people from the Carribean to come and be underground workers and bus conductors in the 1960's because the indigenous population considered that type of work to be beneath them so its nothing new Attitudes need to change in England, any job is better than no job

Home Office plans undercover police 'spies' in pubs
I would far rather police resources were used to find muggers, rapists, child molesters and so on than having police in pubs checking out under age drinkers and sorting drunks, that is the responsibility of landlords and pub doormen, I want police to be investigating serious crime

BOTTLER BROWN?
I have misgivings about the current conservative leadership and their drift towards the left of centre but just the name Labour is enough to prevent me from putting an X next to their candidate, it would to me be like cheering on Arsenal in a football game or wanting McLaren to win an F1 championship, I physically and mentally can't bring myself to put an X next to a Labour candidate however many misgivings I have about the current conservative leadership

Weekend Football Thread
Right now yes ! I knew before the game we had no chance but here we were 2-1 up after 91 mins so it was a question of hanging on 90 more fukkin seconds then Stevie fukkin Wonder denies us a free kick after Bale is chopped down and from that they score Mark Halsey should get his bank account to be checked to see if there is any large payments gone into it recently because that guy is a crook judging by the series of pathetic decisions he gave today

Weekend Football Thread
I am so pissed off right now its unbelieveable, I would rather we had been tanked 4-0 today or something but to actually go into the bin dippers own stadium and be less than 90 secs away from a victory is more gutting than getting beaten out of sight  Tomorrow I suppose I will be grateful for 1 point but right now this is the worst I have felt as a Spurs fan since Chelsea cup game last year when we were 3 up

F1 Season 2007
Going back to Schumacher and Senna Hamilton has had a very good first season but on the other hand he has had the best car on the grid so of course he is going to stand out more at the sharp end of the grid, with the best car a podium is the very least that is expected of him but he has just shown he can mix it at the sharp end, his only real serious opposition has been a talented but mentally flawed Alonso Compare that with : Senna - Almost winning a race in a TOLEMAN in his debut season, this is the equivalent of a Spyker nearly winning a race, Monaco that time was one of the greatest drives in F1 history, Senna several times in that Toleman put the car in places it had absolutely no right to be in, far more impressive debut season from Senna in an under powered Toleman than Hamilton in the most powerful car on the grid Schumacher - With only 1 days practice and called in at short notice because of Gachot being jailed Schumacher puts a mid to lower grid Jordan in its highest qualifying position ever, then goes to Benetton and destroys a 3 times world champion (Piquet) again far more impressive than what Hamilton has done with the best car on the grid that has almost run on rails all season, opponents for Schumacher in that season were the likes of Prost, Senna, Mansell, Piquet Moss must have had a bit too much malt when he made those comments Hamilton has done a very good job I give him credit for that but he has had the best car

F1 Season 2007
Stirling Moss above anything else is a massive patriot, he would support a chimpanzee if it was British and driving an F1 car (no racial overtones it is a figure of speech ! ), his unswerving loyalty to McLaren over Stepneygate, his bigging up of Button over the years, if it is British then it is the greatest thing since sliced bread when it comes to Stirling Moss Moss hated Schumacher, Moss hated Senna so he is letting his patriotism cloud his judgement, this is the same guy that spent half his F1 career in struggling British teams out of loyalty to Britain As for the other point since when have I been Mark Webber ? if you can find any examples where I have used the word wog on this board towards Hamilton or anyone else feel free to ban my ass for good and publish the evidence but you are making yourself look very foolish here ;)

BOTTLER BROWN?
After the Inheritance Tax thingy Brown's goose was cooked, it was game over, he knew that he was going to lose the election so bottled it With the economy set to worsen over the next 12 months and the stock market struggling Labour will slip further and further back Much as I do not like Cameron he is without doubt IMHO a prime minister in waiting
