Westlife - My Blood
Hello My Love popularity was because of the hype everywhere and they cannot do that to every single that they'll release and when they released Better Man which sounded old mostly to young people but the most familiar sound to their old fans, it went downhill. 13 and 26 are not hits for those old westlife fans who followed them since and are not familiar with the new chart setting

They won't get hit singles here in the UK because they are already viewed here as old but if they will look at the market across the pond and label will put money to them and will be successful, other markets will follow even the UK. Remember they are still barely known in the biggest music market.

Fans need to get used to their single's first premiere chart peak not as a basis or a measurement of its success but because we are used to it and fans came from that singles sales era, it will be a harder process for us and may affect the album sales in the future that's why they have said they've been very careful with their decisions as well. And they just came back, many of their listeners maybe have listened only to Westlife and or older stuffs and the new chart rules are new to them but I trust the fans, they will buy their albums no matter what, stood the test of time and they have plenty of non-number ones but they still buy their stuff. Spectrum will be the starting point of the test for them. Singles are just for promotion, there are people that have hit single/s but cannot sell albums and eventually getting dropped. You Are The Reason by Calum Scott is a very popular single (and sounds very Westlife by the way) but its yet to crack the UK top 40. Maybe this is the reason why their new release needs to be a ballad but needs to be something "different" or "urban" not only because it's tge the popular genre now but this they think will have more chances to crack the top 40 than the "you are the reason" sounding single. but if not at least they tried to be innovative. I know it's quite daunting for the fans but it is what it is, it is how it's done now especially for an old act and just came back. they are like starting all over again. Of course they want to have new hit singles again that's why they are doing this and this may be the only way for them

Releasing more songs (under Universal) at an earlier stage will only mean it will potentially have more views clicks compared to those that they will release five years from now and everything will be under Universal. Of course they will not promote tracks when they were under Sony. Releasing many songs will not mean every single of it will make an album or maybe some can be reserved for the next album or can be forever unreleased and be released in a compilation album or album with unreleased tracks. We will never know when it comes to corporate decisions of a recording company but everything is possible. I've been saying this because they have a successful history of an unreleased demo track that became famous years later and was never released as a proper single.

Tbh they could have released more singles this year but I think they are doing everything smoothly and conservatively. Conservatively meaning their patterns of releases are like what they've been doing before and smoothly meaning they are not in a rush. They have a major record contract and that's what matters. Take That released two singles before the album both didn't chart but their album is the fastest selling last year and one of the biggest

The important thing for record companies are the album sales and streaming numbers for the singles

Westlife - My Blood
They will. Look at Lewis capaldi's singles, they are under the same label. that is because of streaming. Record label will invest again in a song they think will be a hit. They have the statistics

You mean every hour lol they are out on YouTube videos too no television performance Every day for the premiere week like before that's why. it looks like fans need to get used to it. Chart peaks do not matter in the streaming era already like Nicky said in his interview earlier this year, you just need to get lucky in the streaming. Not the exact words but that's what they meant. Maybe they will re-release these singles in the future again that's why they are not that worried

Westlife - My Blood
First day or week peak, sales, streaming counts are only indicators what their listeners want, from fans and from countries with higher music listening population and what sounds more like a hit to them. what matters now is how many will listen to it in the long run on the streaming media. Besides, I did not see the song in the playlists only in nmfs but at the lower end in those lists which are not major.

#1 in all song categories in amazon.co.uk no matter how little this is, they're #1 in 2019. Hello My Love was never #1 in Amazon if my memory serves me right and this is a grat https://www.amazon.co.uk/Best-Sellers-MP3-D...f=zg_m_bsms__bs

Swedish Idol the only one confirmed so far on Dec 6 Looks like the video is only concentrated to UK and Ireland. Cannot see a push on the YouTube playlists of their other markets compare to Hml. A hit because if my memory serves me right Dynamite only peaked somewhere in the top 30 in iTunes Indonesia. I am only mentioning Indonesia and UK because those are their biggest markets. In China, they always beat Ariana and Taylor premieres on their own popular video and audio streaming sites even Dynamite. Who says Dynamite flopped?

Westlife - My Blood
#3 now. Hml was #2 but it was their comeback single In Indonesia they're at #3 as well trailing behind Adam and Selena. So being #3 in iTunes is already a hit for them because this is not a lead single, not as Americanized, current and viral as the other two. I hope this will get playlisted in spotify

For me No Place, Passionate and don't go breaking to some extent were the only good tracks. Never Gone and their debut album are their best albums
-
Westlife - My Blood
It's not just the single choice but the tracks inside they said it sounded very American. Yes because most of it are from American producers. Well it will be more successful if Where We Are will be released now as the music worldwide and in the UK are very Americanized now
