Did you think your comment through before you posted it? Logic tells me that happens because that's just how the charts work.
  2. THE ALESHA SHOW HAS OFFICIALLY GONE PLATINUM TODAY!

I get it now. Thanks :) I was confusing the 300,000 certification with single certifications.

But she was already certified for 300,000 sales to retailers a while back?! So shouldn't she have a plaque for 300,000? She said the one she gave me was the latest one and more current than the one she has herself. I'm confused ...
  5. adnet posted a post in a topic in Pop and Country
I believe it's exceeded that. A week ago Alesha gave me a plaque for my birthday which was for 250,000 sales.

This isn't meant to sound horrible, but did you think your post through AT ALL? You haven't heard the radio edit - you're going on someone else's description. And you haven't even seen the video - again you're going on my very short and basic description because I'll more than likely get a bollocking for leaking details too early. Alesha's promo hasn't even kicked off properly yet - she has major promo lined up, the majority of the bigger shows being the week before and the week of release. After 'LGE' was performed on Comic Relief it entered and jumped almost 70 places in one day, on iTunes. It then fell out because she wasn't in the country, the song hadn't been sent to radio and there was no other promo. Also, Alesha isn't mentally unstable like Britney. Bad comparison. I don't understand why people are so pessimistic about everything when everything regarding the 3rd single hasn't even kicked off properly yet.

26 March 2009 At this precise moment Alesha is on the set of her new video ‘Let’s Get Excited’. The video is set in an East London nightclub surrounded by lots of dancers. She’s wearing black leggings and gold shoes and has her hair in a high-black ponytail. The entire video is set in the club but there is lots of different looks and scenes going on. Later in the video water will be thrown over everyone. I have a source on set getting all the details so more information will be added throughout the evening, as it happens - keep checking back for more! Source: aleshadixon.Net

TBDN is at No2 just 1 week after physical release in France, only 600 sales off No1 . LGE goes to radio next week, even though BS is still A-list in a lot of places and doing well in airplay charts.

In late April Alesha will be writing with Fraser T. Smith who is responsible for James Morrison's "Broken Strings" featuring Nelly Furtado, "Take Me Back" (Tinchy Stryder ft. Taio Cruz), "Hot Stuff (Let’s Dance)" from Craig David's fourth album, Kano's "Typical Me" and has recently co-written, produced and mixed "Strong Again" - the third single from N-Dubz's album platinum selling album, Uncle B as well as Tinchy Stryder's forthcoming single "Number One".

Yes, it's called iTunes. Spend the 79p
  12. Here is the EXCLUSIVE first look at Alesha's album cover for the European edition of 'The Alesha Show'. The European album booklet will also include photos taken from the new photoshoot. Sorry about the huge tag across the picture but I've been told to do so in case the press get hold of it as changes may be made to the cover before release. http://img528.imageshack.us/img528/5112/europetaszt0.jpg
  13. Alesha already owns rights to the album so it's not getting a UK release for a reason.
  14. Releasing her album in the christmas rush didn't do her any harm. She still sold a fair few copies for a 'new' artist and it's still selling now. And off the back of one single upon release I'd say it was a pretty good damn achievement for the 26 chart placing she got against all those big names. I'm not a major fan of re-releases but the European artwork looks amazing so I have high hopes for the UK re-release. I did say she should replace a few songs with new ones instead of sticking one or two new songs on the end of the CD. That's highly annoying. Anyway, nothing wrong with maximising sales and keeping her name out there whilst she's busy doing other stuff. But yes, I will ask what her plans for the next album are. Can I Begin was/is in the running for 4th single as it's a fave of hers but she said the fans she has spoken to are pushing for DELG and CG is popular with the radio. Still relatively early days though so it could change. I'd much rather a CG/CIB release if she's doing a double A side.
  15. Just got back from seeing Alesha. - CONFIRMED 3rd single is 'Lets Get Excited'. - A little debate about 4th single happening but it looks like it could be Chasing Ghosts AND Don't Ever Let Me Go providing they can get a budget for both videos - I will post the European album cover when I get back on my computer tomorrow. I've been told to watermark it so that the media / press don't use it as the cover may change very slightly before release - Possibly a re-release in the UK at the end of 2009 with a new CD booklet (replaced photos) and extra tracks, in time for Xmas. Uhm, I can't remember what else. I should be seeing her again next Saturday so if you have any more questions I can ask her then :)

Don't worry. It's always nice to re-visit good news lol The single tracklisting is a load of w***, and a complete let down: 1. Breathe Slow [single version] 2. Breathe Slow [piano mix]

I did say that a few posts above as it peaked at 16 yesterday. It's a non-mover today.

I've updated Alesha's schedule. There's a lot more promo coming up but I can't add it yet because a lot is TBC and I don't know if certain things will be televised (or when). I will keep editing over the next few days. I've also just emailed her label to get hold of her radio schedule so we know what stations/shows she's doing: JANUARY 16- NRJ Music Awards, France 24 - Eurovision/Your Country Needs You, BBC1, 7PM 25 - Germany - Press Day 26 - Germany - Press Day 27 - Germany / Belgium - Press Day 29 - Comic Relief, Mt Kilimanjaro Climb Press/Media Day 30 - Manchester - Radio Promo. I'd use the term loosely, but yes. Close enough to have meals with her family and get invited to her bday parties, but not close enough to go underwear shopping with her lol.
