Yay, 9 place climb for Alesha to 55.

Well it makes more sense as TBDN was only 20 last week. Whoever gave Alesha the wrong info is probably going to get a bollocking today. She sounded happy too. And damnit, she got my hopes up.

My text said Breathe Slow was 23 not TBDN. I'm texting her back now, I'm not too impressed with her getting my hopes up.

I'd use the term loosely, but yes. Close enough to have meals with her family and get invited to her bday parties, but not close enough to go underwear shopping with her lol.

I was suprised too. She was only 39 on Sunday. I had to text back and ask if she lying to me ...

I see Alesha going top 20 this Sunday. She just told me her midweek is 20+3. Oohh the excitement!

I don't own a radio. Well there is one on my cd hi-fi thingy but there is no signal. Why don't you just listen online? You're on the computer anyway. That's what I do.

Probably would have got higher if the label pressed more than 4000 copies. I'm still bitter ... I am comforted in the thought of Polydor sobbing over Alesha's current success.

Whats to stop her from doing another big promo show nearer release? Why miss out on a big promo show because of the date? It would still encourage album sales. I have Alesha's schedule and I don't think it's too bad. I reckon she'll get enough promo done in time.

Although Breathe Slow is one of my least favourite Alesha tracks I actually see this being as big as TBDN. Before I knew it was a single I thought it'd do terrible but if it's good enough to get Top 40 a month before release and before all the promo kicks in I think it's good enough to go Top 10. By the time it's released I reckon all current popular tracks (Beyonce, Alexandra, Leona etc) will have fallen. She's also releasing on a week where there isn't much competition around.

I reckon it was more to do with the fact that there was a delay in her getting the news from her label and then sending it to me. There's a 7 hour time difference and I only just got the text meaning she will have sent it very late last night / early hours of this morning. Regardless, we have an idea of where 'Breathe Slow' is in the charts and that's enough to keep the suspense up for me.

Yes from her. She's in Thailand so there's probably a delay in getting the news to me as the midweeks came out yesterday. She was 10+6 yesterday anyway.

Don't you think it's a bit too early to say ANYTHING? Why are people writing her off so early? It's only Tuesday and the chart position was based on ONE days sales.

Why all the pessimism? Nobody expected TBDN to as well as it did so sales for the album could very well suprise us all. It's only Tuesday ... People thought Christina would be top 5 and out-do Alesha and they were proved wrong .... Top 20 would be a great achievement considering this is her first solo (UK) album release off the back of one single.

Album is at 24 in the midweeks. I dont think thats bad. Its only Tuesday and iTunes hasn't been working properly and a lot of people don't get paid until Friday. Top 20 is achievable.
