Interesting contest, not only with what has been discussed re: points but also just the whole thing of Freeze passing the hosting down to me, me passing it on to travis, travis having laptop issues, making Leww take over and announce his own win! Funneh. Congrats! Also interesting how my 6 and 5 points in the semi (Brechtoria and Suedeonia respectively) didn't get anything in the final :kink: Vülkyria was the one I mentioned about wishing I had pointed btw! Glad it did well anyway. Bit disappointed / surprised Lotunia didn't rly connect with people, that was easily my favourite of the pop songs.

There's usually an UP / Nuggets every 3 months or thereabouts, so I was expecting this! Confirming something in a bit, been wanting to send it for a little while. I hope some of you love it.

On the contrary, I think that list looks fairly plausible. Brechtoria and Thelonia were the only ones I even slightly considered could take it, other than that it feels open af. I wouldn't put Fljótavík that low tho. That said, I don't remember much about hype or plug reactions or anything... #gutfeelings

Wow, I'm clearly not a STAN compared to some of you, but Gaga definitely became one of the more exciting pop stars for me back in like 2009. She was so different from most of the stuff I listened to. I remember when 'Poker Face' was everywhere and I kept hearing it, not rly liking it at first but after a while it got stuck in my head. I didn't care much for 'Just Dance' at first either but PF made me kinda interested. So I think I bought The Fame Monster based on my sudden love of 'Poker Face' and I used to play the hell out of it. I loved 'Paparazzi', 'Paper Gangsta', 'So Happy I Could Die' etc. There was something about the catchy and sometimes euphoric melodies on her songs that I found easy to connect to, without them feeling throwaway at all. I still like her obviously but don't actually listen as much as I did a few years ago. Similarly to Jade, my 'peak period' was probably like 2009-2011, that's when I was most excited.

So featuring artists from other countries are good to go? I think he had a hand in the production, the main artist definitely feels like the performer of the song. Funnily enough, the first artist I found that I checked out has the first name of Matias :P He has some unusual bops so it would be cool to send him but this other one feels right.

I was just about to ask this! :P I have found what I think is the one, but there's another artist on it who is not from Chile. I've been having so much fun with all this Chilean music, it was a good draw for me, there's a lot of stuff I like!

Voted! That was not a fantastic semi for me :lol: My top 3 stood out but I don't think I'd be pointing some of the songs in the lower end of my votes in most other semis oops.

'The Fame' again. I actually really like 'Beautiful, Dirty, Rich', gets me going in a weird way, makes me feel like I live in a big house and am surrounded by loads of money falling on me as I'm dancing, totally carefree and rich. :D

See I'd love something really obscure (for lack of a better word) and unexpected, I'm in this for the challenge! I'll probably be content with almost anything tho.
