Omg KUČKA was the artist whose EP I listened to a few years ago when I was briefly trying out the Apple Music app lmao. I like her sound. 'Drowning' sounds good, I'll have to check out the others later. "Pronounced 'Coo-ch-ka', and meaning 'Bitch' in Serb-Croatian" haha
  6. Oh right haha. Obviously there are other people working on the music but I consider serpentwithfeet a solo artist referring to Josiah Wise.
  7. No problem! This is one of my favourite albums this year so far. Sorry if I used the wrong pronoun btw! Wikipedia has 'he' all over so I'm not actually sure haha.
  8. One of my faves serpentwithfeet released his second album DEACON this year. It's actually only 29 minutes long, has several really short tracks. His artistic sensibilities are so beautiful and I'm still obsessed with his voice. This album is more rhythmic than his debut, the stunning soil. 'Amir' is a major highlight for me! 1. Hyacinth 2. Same Size Shoe 3. Malik 4. Amir 5. Dawn 6. Sailors' Superstition 7. Heart Storm (with Nao) 8. Wood Boy 9. Derrick's Beard 10. Old & Fine 11. Fellowship Rld75JvoN48 jAEvgiEWd8Y
  9. I think it's mostly cos it's just more convenient to have everything by a particular artist in one place. There are more rock-influenced Coldplay albums (I still tend to think of them as a "rock band" lmao, maybe it's just my warped shortcut), which is partly what this section of the forum is about. (I did make a Vanessa Carlton thread in indie once when previously she would've definitely been in pop but oh well, hypocrite xo. Besides, she is MUCH more indie now) Anyway I haven't listened to the song and I'm open but also not rly expecting too much :kink:
  10. I would consider it their most adventurous album personally. I can't remember individual tracks very well (I listen to too many different things!!!!!) but it just felt like art. I like when music makes me feel like I'm listening to a painting
  11. Yeah... I didn't think it was a particularly unacceptable post? 🤨 I agreed with you to a certain degree lol But oh well, different lenses etc 🧐
  12. I swear I like pop music too sometimes 😇 I'm just... picky with it 😋
  13. I really-really like the title of this album! I did too! It was a pleasant surprise for me, took a few listens to rly get into it tho. Noooo I was just thinking I hope they go full-on weird and atmospherique! haha
  14. Ariana another prolific queen whose albums I have also never listened to help
  15. Oh my, prolific queen whose albums I have never listened to oops
  16. Yeah my guess is that it's not the cover. I can't think of an artist who released an album three years in a row recently  Maybe I'm just outta touch. Grace Jones released an album six years in a row but that was in the 70s and 80s when I think that kinda thing was more common. (Been going thru Grace's discography. So far enjoying it, it's uplifting BUT I have to say, I'm more intrigued by looking at her than listening haha, she looks so cool) OH WAIT NO lol - I thought Chemtrails... was last year. *slaps self*
  17. I don't remember any of the individual songs lmao because I listen to too much different music xo and also because I only listened to this once so far, but I remember this was a really intriguing album! Also I was amused by this from Wikipedia: "Musically, Sawayama is produced, performed and recorded in a wide variety of genres. Primarily influenced by 2000s mainstream pop, nu metal, rock, R&B, and dance-pop, it also was noted by critics to include elements of arena rock, EDM, avant-pop, hyperpop, electro, house, hair metal, hip-hop, experimental, synth-pop, bubblegum pop, emo pop, grunge, industrial, dubstep, country pop, pop rock, gospel, glam rock, trap, trip hop, folk, J-pop and electro-dub." I'd call that "over-genrefying" :D
  18. And she did indeed release a cover of 'Breathless' by The Corrs end of last year! I'm only listening now so maybe everybody else has already heard. It's kinda exactly how I would've imagined it haha, good job. yYeGAD0xBTc
  19. oh ok there's zero information about it charting in UK so I guess it didn't :kink: Charted in a few other places but not v highly. I used to be (briefly) obsessed with charts when I was much younger so I must've used up most of my chart obsession energy back then 🤡
  20. Aw yes I remember you liked it! I really did too at the time, which is good because I entered it here :P haha I think it became a big hit too? I don't know about charts anymore but it has like 46 million views on YT or something like that. And that's just the official video upload.
  21. Oh fun, gonna reflect a bit. Right now, my least favourite song I sent is Daya - Sit Still, Look Pretty. It also doesn't feel like Deandria at all. But the biggest misstep in terms of not fitting the contest at all was Sutrastore - Zero Point (even the title LMAO). That said, I still love that song personally, it's a trip and definitely one of my most unique entries. It just didn't fit here. I think there was an issue with the link too so I'm not even sure if everybody listened to the correct version :kink:
  22. why is everyone a f***ing comedic genius in YT comments lol
  23. "What Artpop sounds like for foreigners" lolol
  24. Oh yeah I love those too hahaha. So artsy  The chorus is so beautiful!
  25. I only listened once, maybe I should give it another go, I loved her low kii savage EP ('Hang Up Tha Phone' used to be my ringtone, geddit ) And I'm cursed now btw, I can't even remember how the actual Bad Romance goes
