TIL what FOMO is

And to think this was very nearly a Lounge thread :P It probably would've been moved in here anyway. Perhaps surprisingly, I like the odd technology chat. And yeah, that's kinda inspiring whenever someone says they don't listen to music on walks anymore. I still tend to and I don't rly like that I do tbh, even tho I don't do it every time. Using my phone on the street is another bad habit! I've had at least a couple ~incidents~ as a result :mellow: put away ya phone m8

This was gonna be a Lounge thread but it's probably better here. I know I never rly posted here that much cos most of the discussion seems to be about games and I don't play them I'm afraid. Which do you prefer / which do you use most often? My #1 everyday choice usually is external speakers connected to my laptop. I'm quite picky with it tho and preferably they need to have a really good sound as well as bass. My current ones from Creative are excellent for that, although they are a bit bust now so I'm looking at options for the future. Recommendations appreciated haha. I also love headphones but I wouldn't use them all the time. Finally, I also use earphones but those are strictly for walking down the street or public transport etc, as they are just handier to have in those situations. Although in the past I was known to always walk around outside with big headphones B-)

Thanks :P I feel like I'm giving everything away but I thought of another cool description for my entry (always fun to do x) and I have to get it out before I forget: it's like 'Moonland' (one of my DNQs from last year) mixed with the drum beat of 'Sanctuary' (my winner). Make of that whatever you want.

I'm sure she's a lovely person and talented and I don't really consider myself to have a 'least favourite vocal in music' but I am another one who will mention Florence :') I've enjoyed a handful of the songs (where maybe the vocal doesn't bother me) but overall I don't enjoy her voice.

I've entered... I'm shocked too. It's something I'd describe as "somewhat uncool" but not everything has to be. It also feels like something that would've been entered in 2012. And it also feels like a Dalisska entry. It's such a cute bop tho and I don't always pay full attention to lyrics but this song moves me with its lyrics and the delivery of them.

It could be called Never Mind The BJSC *.* (and I would flop les miserables but still)

I might go ahead and listen to this album cos obviously 'Arcade Summer' got my top points in BJSC (and I think I gave some "middle" points to the spin-off winner) and I do really like this kind of music as well :wub: Just haven't heard that much of it tbh. There's something relaxing yet moving about it. Have you heard of Kalax, Jade? I fell in love with his music late last year, it's also synthwave *.* He has a few albums but I've only heard one (self-titled) so far. I do kinda associate you with synthwave lmao

Why thank you Bré! (I also "should" listen to The Colour in Anything more lol...) It was kinda either James, Massive Attack (who I'm seeing live next week with Elizabeth Fraser ;o) or Icelandic goddess Björk (who had an unfinished rate years ago by someone else :kink:) but I strongly opted for James for now (I don't wanna 'hog' rates but I'd be up for doing those others at some point in future too). If mods express being cool with it, I'll put a lil something together.

Would folks / mods be up for a rate (honestly I don't rly enjoy calling them 'rates' lol but I guess that's what they are... Would prefer like 'discussion thread which gives the spotlight to all the singles' or something lmao :P) of James Blake singles? With the new album out for nearly a month, it might be kool~ to give the spotlight to a lot of his songs and see what people think. The Grimes Rate was thoroughly enjoyable so why not ^_^

Yeah it's true, don't mind me. It's also not like everyone is on plug at the same time or w/e, usually it's just a small handful when I play the songs, so yeah... I make no sense.

I might consider this... Would a Spotify playlist suffice? :kink: (I've been almost fully Spotified now, don't even have iTunes installed currently!) Ideally I'd prefer to include mostly lesser known gems in mine but I feel as tho I've already randomly whored all of those out during plug.dj sessions 😂

In fact both of the top 2 are the tracks I thought would win at different points in the contest - I first predicted LSDream all the way back when the contest had just started, but at some point, probably after voting, I changed my winner prediction to Otha (and I thought Lew was behind Otha for some reason - nice to see it be his 20 as well). omg @ Chez coming 2nd again. I did quite like that entry as well but didn't vote for it I'm afraid. Thanks dandy* for hosting, no worries about the delays! Enjoyed the commentaries and presentations throughout this. ^_^
