  1. Nah, the 3rd one is utter tripe! Although the dude (cant remember his name) playing Damien does a good portrayal.
  2. You havent seen the original trilogy?
  3. How was the photographer's death scene shown??

I agree with both sides. I agree that yes, any job IS better than no job, however, I never claim that I know better than the poor guy who's toiled it up through the ranks nor do I think that I should be handed a job on a silver plate, just like that because I have a degree. However, I've worked bloody hard to get where I am now. I was out of work myself for a year before anyone would give me a paid job, just because of the line work im in is full of snotty academics that would rather have some posh bint from Cambridge who dont know their arse from their elbow. Also, I was self-employed. For 2 years! me and my ex-partner ran our own web business. Then we split up and I left the business, but that's not important.... It depends on your circumstances on whether not it's easy. In my case, two children under 9 didn't help. So :P LOL...
  6. 1991 would be a good one. Nirvana Nevermind came out in Sept.

    What? I'm confused now. I don't have a girlfriend. I'm straight! I don't have a boyfriend either, but we won't mention that.

Hey dude! I'm not the type of person to have ago at people either, although I do like a good, intelligent debate. 1/ I know you weren't having a dig at me! Seriously, no bad feelings at all. 2/ Tell me about living in London. I do too. 3/ I totally understand how employers see it. That's why i did volunteer work. On your CV (particularly if it's in the line of work you are aiming for) it shows employers you arent a lazy bum.

Yes, Jessica Fletcher, not to be confused with Dexter Fletcher from Press Gang, the equally talented, yet annoying crime-fighting type journalist.
  12. The Rutles... The musical band that will only last a lunchtime or summick... lol

Ok, a few points: 1/ I know it's a selfish view. I admitted so myself! 2/ You must be loaded. lol. 3/ Why do you assume all people out of work sit at home all day "in the black hole of wasting away doing nothing" and spend their days "watching Trisha and Jeremy Kyle?" When I found myself out of work straight after coming out of uni - no experience of the career I wanted to get into I didn't do that. I went and did voluntary work while looking for a job.
  14. And making hairpieces guarentees you a place in heaven?

Actually, I agree with Joey. I'm young (26) and I have qualifications that far outweigh a £5.50 ph job, thanks. I didn't sweat it at uni for nothing, thanks. What was the point of that? I DO agree with your belief that beggers can't be choosers, but coming from a £23k job to not being able to get anything takes some getting used to, and as stubborn as it sounds, I aint backing down from the wage I'm used to. Sounds selfish, I know. 9 times out of 10 though, it's not YOU that isn't good enough to get the job, it's the elitist industries that look down on you. I work in the world of Libraries and Archives, and it's very snobby. It's hard, depressing, and tiresome being constantly turned down because you are young. But, I do it for the job. I love the line of work i'm in. It took a lot of bloody hard work to get where I am and I'm sorry, but I'm not getting a £5.50 ph job for all the c**p I went through.

    Ok......lol
  17. Ok, I understand what you're getting at now. I just assumed you were generalising all Christians were extremely pious.. lol....

Yes... indeed. Cream of the Comic Crop or Cream of the Comic Flop? I'm ashamed to admitt I saw it for the first time on DVD the other day, after all the raving on about how good this film was by the "ones in the know." I thought it was probably one of the most hyped films for a long time and wanted to watch it so much.... Well I watched it... My conclusion: what was so good about it exactly? Please tell me? I don't see it. I agree, the cinematography was interesting. I liked the fact it was all "comic book" stylee, with a few hints of colour, but to be honest that's all that's going for it. Is that why everyone raved about it? Did anyone else just thought this film had a load of hype for nothing?
  19. I really couldn't stand Lost In Translation. It wasn't the pace of the film, it was the content of the film. I found it was just horrendously lame. Like "oh please..."! I was looking forward to it as well, and it was such a let down for me.
  20. HAHAHA.. Sprockumentary sounds like some kind of Star Trek Spock turned Rock'n'Roll star related affair. LMFAO! Well, he did have that Bilbo Baggins song once upon a time. Maybe it could document the rise and fall of that little chart-topper?! No, I think the term "Rockumentary" was actually used to describe the genre of Spoof Rock Documentarys anyway, but i could be wrong. I like Sprockumentary actually.

Who's that? That Lohan bird? Please, how is she better than the acting talents of Angela Landsbury?
  22. Really? That's a very biased assumption.
  23. Point taken, although the "rockmentary" Spinal Tap is still a fictional film about a fictional band.
  24. The Grudge was one of the rare occasions when the American remake was actually better than the original Japanese one. Even though it had Buffy in it. We won't hold that against the film. I'm actually looking forward to another one.

You know something? You're all right. I'm being made redundant at the end of June. I haven't found another job yet. I've been applying for them and have been going to interviews, but haven't actually got a new job yet. And i'm scared. I don't want to work in MacDonalds, thanks. In terms of respect - I got respect - I don't believe people who work in MacDonalds actually do get any respect. Not from the general public nor MacDonalds. I ain't working there. I don't really want to go on the dole. £57 (it is actually lol) is NOT enough per 2 weeks.. yes 2 WEEKS... that's just RUBBISH!!!! However, I feel I may have to. It will be temporary, until I can actually get another job. I don;t know what's wrong, am I just not liked *SOB!*
