  1. Ah, I wasnt having a go at you Mr Wick....
  2. Am I the only one that thinks The Automatic are a bunch of muppets? Sorry, but Monster is devoid of all lyrical talent. My 4 year old 2nd cousin could gurgle more indepth and meaningful words, and even if they didn't it would be a damn sight funnier. And the screechy ADD-stricken keyboardist Penny, does my head in.. my theory is that they house him in a little tiny box, and before each gig, take him out, insert a giant ACME brass key into his back, wind him up like Tick-Tock out of Return to Oz and just let him go wild and free on stage. I will prove my theory right, oh yes. I will prove my theory right.
  3. Well for one thing, you have introduced me to this fine forum... it's f-ing brilliant...
  4. Why scream at me to back you up? now i'm in a difficult position.. arguing against a Peter Davsion lover!? Can i bring myself to do it? I shall enlighten you instead. The Ordinary Boys have met Suggs a few times, rather than lumping Madness and TOB together - it's more complicated than that. I think he seemed alright to them. Preston said recently that Suggs phoned him up but he missed the call and forgot to call him back. But I think there maybe some talk about TOb (or at least Presotn) going on stage with Madness when they (Madness) are on tour in December, but i dunno.. don't quote me, It's all speculation. As for releasing LOLA as a lash out TOb - how do you come to that conclusion? I don't understand how.
  5. A summary of my thoughts on what has been discussed so far: Tennant and Davison are IMO the best Drs so far. Eccelston and McCoy were utter pants. Impossible Planet WAS a rip-off of Event Horizon. It wasn't the best out of the new ones. I'm waiting for the Peter Kay episode. Bonnie Langford should be banished never to return to the Who again. In regards to Rose Tyler, I have loads of theories about her. After looking in to the Time Vortex is she now turning into a Time Lord?! ARGH! Please no....

What's the deal with this? Is it going a head cos I haven't seen any film reviews on here. Unless I'm just being lazy and not looking hard enough. Nevertheless... movies are my life. What do you want me to review? I have a cinema opposite my house. No lie.
  7. Death Race 2000! With a then reletively unknown Sly Stallone starring...

Grimly Fiendish and Russt68. Seriously, I applaud you. I'm new on here, but I've read a few of both your posts on various topics and more or less I've agreed with what you've said on those occassions. This is no exception. The book and the film are P-poor. Well to be fair, the book I can see as a light holiday read. When you don't want anything too heavygoing. But it was a success. It's commerical appeal I can see was fueled by bored American housewives who want a peice of Romantic European fantasy in their boring existence and pompous business men who want to look "cultured" by reading it on the train. This, I feel, is also why the film was made the way it was. It appeals to those markets. Those markets that will buy buy buy buy buy! Never mind the people that truely enjoy films. The film was slated at Cannes, and Hanks went home early. Why? Well.. it was utter pants. As a side thought, what's Cannes all about nowadays? Regardless, did you see Sir McKellen's interview at Cannes about the film? He cracks me up. The film was indeed called "plodding" as you so rightly describe Grimly Fiendish. And I quote:: "While I was reading the book I believed it entirely. Clever Dan Brown twisted my mind convincingly. But when I put it down I thought, 'What a load of ... potential codswallop." I love Sir McKellen. I wish he was my grandad.
  9. Yes It was released on 06.06.06.. what a cop out. The ORIGINAL trilogy - meaning 3, not that P-poor Prequel rubbish that they brought out not so long ago either - are my favourite films of all time. I can't believe it.... it does look laughable and quite frankly embarrassing.
  10. Oh and Denise do you want a little OB banner to put in your sig on this forum? I can send you one tinight when im at home.
  11. Is this for that Rogue forum? Why would I want to do that and detract away from the Army Forum? Regardless, you have been a little hooligan since time began and for that I shall vote. Consider it done.
  12. I'vebeen to see these guys twice now and everytime I always laugh at their cheeky mustaches... I saw them live at Later with Jools too and was right next to them.. they are lanky guys, with humourous tashes... I heart them purely for that.
  13. I love Death Cab - with more passion than a phirana after a pepparami. Photobooth is one of the most brilliantly written songs in history. Also, who's heard their Earth Angel cover? Seriously, it is one to get.
  14. And so you should, you good little hooligan you...
  15. Well I see it from both sides. I love The Cure, and would happily buy these to get the other tracks. However, it does kinda P me off. Anyhooo, also, I have a rather cool version of Hello I love you by The Cure. It was on some weirdo compliation CD i got.
  16. I dunno about touring. Next time I bump into little old ratty matty at work, I'll ask him. I saw them loading a load of equipment the other day into huge buses so you might be in for a treat, But dont quote me.
  17. Are you not allowed to post links up here then? Regardless give me or Mr Wick a PM whatever and we'll sort you out a treat.
  18. Is that reference to me Mr Wick? Anyhoooo... yes, yes the infamous Meeting Si While Wearing Ye Olde Tshirt with Chuck's Head on It.... hmm.... went down a treat that did... just to add to your paranoia.. And who's that person that knows Si? Anymore info?
  19. Right. Let's clear a few thing up shall we kiddies... 1/ The actual released format information goes as thus: The Ordinary Boys VS Lady Sovereign CD Single – 2 Track Catalogue number: BUN105CD Barcode: 0602498585610 Tracks – Nine2Five & My Girl featuring Suggs (Live) The Ordinary Boys VS Lady Sovereign 7†Single (Gatefold) Catalogue number: BUN1057X Barcode: 0602498585634 Tracks – Nine2Five & On An Island (Live) The Ordinary Boys VS Lady Sovereign 7†Single (Standard) Catalogue number: BUN1057 Barcode: 0602498585641 Tracks - Nine2Five & 9 to 5 (The Ordinary Boys Remix) 2/ I'm gonna get on my moral high horse now and say Preston can be whatever the c**p he wants to be, who's who to jusge anyone? What's wrong with chav's anyway? Some are alright as it happens - working class heroes, someone said once. 3/ Preston never went to university for the whole time. I believe he pulled out. Doesn't say much then does it? 4/ OAI is a far more superior song, technically but do you think it would sell after Preston's BB experience? No. Get with it. They released NINE2FIVE cos it's going to appeal to the BB crowd and the girlies that love Preston. Who doesn't want loads money? 5/ I appear in the video. That is all.
