Absolutely nothing in this World Cup has convinced me that my pre tournament thoughts that Brazil will win the World Cup will be wrong. To have the new points system in place for a Final of up to 30 songs (because the Semi's have eliminated 10/20 songs) will result in too much extrapolation of the scores for those that reach the Final which will deter experimentation which the last two contests have benefited from IMHO.

My technique is very similar. I also split my first listens into three blocks and gave the songs scores out of 10 (to 0.5 decimal points) recording them on excel with a brief description about the track; then on the second listen I only listened to the 26 songs that scored 6.0 or higher and rejigged my points; then on the third and final listen I shuffled by position rankings across the (I did not discover any 10.0 songs in this contest) 9.5; 9.0; 8.5; 8.0; 7.5 songs accordingly.
