  1. 62 X 90 X 164 DJ Sammy – Heaven 61 X 99 X X Sugababes - Run For Cover GxYQhAl2wP4 60 X X X X Black Eyed Peas – I Gotta Feeling DJ Sammy reenters the Top 200 with the cover of the 1985 US#1/UK#37 hit single by Bryan Adams; I'm delighted to see this wonderful Sugababes 1.0 song (in the days when The Sugababes were a great band and not just a brand) re-enter after a year's break; and the Black Eyed Peas 2009 monster hit single debuts at #60.
  2. 65 54 86 36 22 Eminem ft. Dido - Stan 64 67 55 28 36 Christina Aguilera - Dirrty 63 92 X X X Rihanna - Don’t Stop The Music Eminem's stunning lyrics to a great Dido song feature for a 5 year running in the Top 100; as do Xtina's stunning 2002 single & video; whilst Rihanna climbs 29 places with the dance track that samples Michael Jackson's Wanna Be Startin' Something.
  3. 68 99 X 19 17 Evanescence – Bring Me To Life 67 52 40 X X Britney Spears – Gimme More 66 186 200 X X Christina Aguilera - Hurt Amy Lee's gothic rock outfit climbs 31 places; the lead single from Blackout drifts another 15 places; and the emotional ballad from Back To Basics (that should have been a far bigger hit IMHO) climbs a monster 120 places.
  4. 71 X X 43 X Rihanna - SOS 70 30 45 24 48 Alicia Keys - Fallin' 69 143 134 X 95 Daft Punk - One More Time The Soft Cell (Tainted Love) sampled track re-enters after a two year break for an artist who has 5 songs in the Top 200; Alicia Keys breakthrough hit literally does what the title says; and the French duo make it 4 years out of 5 in the Top 200 with the songs' highest position to date.
  5. 74 187 77 X X Britney Spears - Stronger 73 46 X X X Killers - Human 72 X X X X David Guetta ft Kelly Rowland – When Love Takes Over An early period Britney/Max Martin anthem that deservedly rebounds 113 places; taken from their last album the Killers (best IMHO) single falls 27 places; and the wonderful dance anthem featuring the former Destiny's Child debuts at a very impressive #72.
  6. 77 X 66 143 X Destiny’s Child - Survivor 76 104 X X X Coldplay - The Scientist 75 112 94 51 X Coldplay - Clocks A re entry in the Top 200 for Beyonce, Kelly & Michelle; followed by two climbers from Coldplay's second (and IMHO best) album "A Rush Of Blood To The Head".
  7. On to #80 - #51 - The Losing Record Of The Decade Semi Finalists: 80 X X 169 113 Outkast - Ms Jackson 79 161 61 70 172 Mis Teeq – Scandalous 78 164 X X 187 Darude - Sandstorm I'm still shocked that last year Outkast's Hey Ya finished outside the Top 35 of 2003 ROTY Game, and then no one nominated to re-selection this year. So I'm delighted to Big Boi & Andre 3000 make a reappearance in this Top 200 countdown. Next up, sees Alesha Dixon's (& 2009 I'm A Celeb contestant Sabrina Washington's (a shame her OMG much flopped as I thought it was far better than the Usher song of the same title)) old band rise 82 places; and a similar 86 place climb for dance outfit Darude.

Stephanie has been the favourite to win since the second week of the finals for all too obvious reasons due to her singing and dancing ability. She has put on classy understated performances throughout. But in retrospect from ALW's criticisms of her singing Smile it has been clear that she was not fancied as a chosen one. So the die was cast. She has been stitched up pure and simple, because ALW clearly has his chosen one Danielle whom whilst clearly highly competent vocally, I find completely lacking in charisma and is too nasally IMHO unless he is using her as the Trojan horse to pick up the backlash (so that Lauren whom seems to have escaped criticism so far comes through to win). Indeed it is pretty clear she thinks so as well, matching the growing opinions of a lot of Digitalspy posters over the past few weeks: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/s90/over-th...ng-choices.html But I guess I should not complain as ALW's chosen one in I'd Do Anything was Jessica, whom was my favourite as well. So my support will now turn towards OTR's Jessica.
  9. Well (as I need cheering up) here is my favourite all-time Scottish XI: Manager: Bill Shankly ----------------------- Tommy Lawrence Steve Nicol --- Alan Hansen --- Ron Yeats --- Bill Dunlop Willie Stevenson - Graeme Souness - Peter Cormack - Billy Liddell ------------------- Kenny Dalglish © ----------------------------- Ian St John :D

For me this replaces when Ashley left in I'd Do Anything as the biggest shock in a UK singing talent show. But in retrospect being given Mr Bojangles (now 4 times out of 4 - whoever sings it gets a bottom two finish that week) was a pretty clear hint that she was not ALW's chosen one. As I said before I think it is Danielle (yes I know he has looked bored watching some of her performances, but I think he has learnt from past experience, that if you try and make the manipulation too blatant it backfires); with Lauren a very safe 2nd choice. I guess this is why I love the ALW talent shows to Simon Cowell's because they are far less predictable in the voting by the public - probably due to lower levels of votes, and the manipulation is far more subtle probably as the average IQ of those who watch ALW's shows is higher than those who watch Simon Cowell's shows.; and the talent on offer to watch is far higher.
  12. Lastly ...... The Top 10 Finishes Game 2010 only this year it is based on Points score per Top 10 finish each week (1st = 10 Pts; 2nd = 9 Pts ..... down to 10th = 1 Pt; but all ties count as the same points as position finished so no shared points (i.e. Two players tie for 3rd place one week each score 8 Points) After 18 Weeks: 1 1 spiidey 114 2 2 thisispop 88 3 3 Ben 83 4 4 AdzBrown 61 5 6 Jester 54 6 5 titty 52 7 6 FM11 48 7 6 JakeyShake 48 9 9 Aaron 45 10 10 eightiespopkid 36 11 11 West 34 12 12 jackph89 31 13 13 BrayFish 29 14 14 mark w 26 15 18 TomKay 23 16 15 Theo 22 17 16 madonna-4-eva 21 18 17 soundseekerz 20 18 19 Hitstastic 20 20 26 mancdude 17 21 20 Gboy 15 21 20 ElectroBoy 15 21 26 zero 15 24 22 Mikey 14 25 23 Kay 13 26 31 paulgilb 12 27 24 the-equalizer 11 28 25 NoiseAddict 10 28 31 Tacticz 10 30 28 superbossanova 7 31 29 basdfg 6 32 30 Nick F1 5 33 31 chart wizard 3 33 31 Ditherless 3 35 35 Pavel 2 35 35 Shoat 2 37 37 gagafan 1 37 37 WillR0173 1 37 Ne Come Along 1 Significant developments: Spiidey increases his lead over me from 16 to 26 points; whilst Ben is now just 5 points behind me and Jester moves up 1 to 5th is the only other Top 10 player to finish Top 10 this week. Elsewhere TomKay climbs 3 to 15th; Hitstastic is up 1 to 18th; mancdude is up 6 to 20th; zero is up 5 to 21st; paulgilb is up 5 to 26th; TactiX is up 3 to 28th & Come Along debuts at 37th. Thanks all for playing in this very unpredictable week (but not half as shocking as the result on Over The Rainbow tonight IMHO), I'll see you next week to see where Pendulum and Aggro Santos & Kimberly Wyatt debuts in the Top 10; what impact the Fyfe Dangerfield cover of the Billy Joel classic has on the chart; and whether Toni Braxton; Mika; Sophie Ellis-Bextor; The Foals; TV Rock & Glee Cast (Beautiful) debut inside the top 40.

  15. Can I just say listening to the Radio 5 Live 606 phone in today, reminds me why Manchester United fans are hated throughout the country by a lot of neutral football fans I know. No doubt those morons would celebrate if Gary Neville, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs or Wayne Rooney happened to do the same thing as what Steven Gerrard unfortunately did today that just so resulted in disadvantaging Liverpool's chances of winning the Premier League title. Scum the lot of them.

  17. I have to agree on both counts.
  18. I've just finished doing and sending mine. I think it has worked.
  19. Well he nearly signed for them twice. Plus that is now his second assist for Chelsea to add to his one own goal for Chelsea. Besides, Liverpool were by far the better team until that piece of anticipated opportunism by Drogba. But now Liverpool are dead men walking after the mental and physical punishment after 120 minutes playing on Thursday night. But right now I want Rafa gone. Losing the FA Cup home reply to Reading was the final straw for me. He might have been screwed over by those two Yank muppets fleecing the club of £70-£80m of finance, and saddling a club with debt it did not previously have; but he did not help himself in the summer replacing Alonso by signing the Italian answer to Darren "sicknote" Anderton; and a so called right-back who can't defend to save his life. The next 3 months will be the most important in this history of Liverpool FC in a long, long, long time, as Liverpool could very easily go into a severe meltdown (with Rafa, Torres; Gerrard; Mascherano gone); or be bought up by a rich billionaire (either from Dubai (DIC), or an offshoot of the Chinese Government) to make us big guns again. Still well done to Steve McClaren and FC Twente.
  20. TIPs Chart Singles Prediction Game - Chart Sunday 9th May 2010 :cheer: :yahoo:  :cheer: WEEK 19 IN 2010!!! Each week I will ask you to predict where 14 songs are (hopefully) going to be in the following Sunday's chart. The point scoring will be as before (10 pts if spot on with your prediction down to 1 pt if you are 9 positions out. A 75+ prediction if correct will still be worth 5 Points). If a new single is pulled from release or non-chart eligible then everyone's prediction for that question will be void and everyone will be awarded 5 points. Due to physical singles sales declining I have scrapped the old rule of awarding points should the physical release be postponed so long as the download release goes ahead as scheduled. I will ask THREE bonus questions which require a Yes or No answer. Each bonus question is worth 20 Pts. Therefore for a normal week there will be a maximum of 200 Points to gain. PREDICT THE FOLLOWING : Sales Period: Sunday 2nd May – Saturday 8th May Aggro Santos ft Kimberley Wyatt – Candy Alicia Keys – Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart Biffy Clyro – Bubbles Fyfe Dangerfield – She’s Always A Woman Glee Cast - Beautiful Kevin Rudolf – I Made It (Cash Money Heroes) Lady Antebellum – Need You Now Mika vs Red One – Kick Ass (We Are Young) Pendulum – Watercolour Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Bittersweet Taio Cruz ft Ke$ha - Dirty Picture Toni Braxton – Yesterday Train – Hey Soul Sister TV Rock ft Rudy - In The Air (Axwell Remix) Bonus #1: Will Roll Deep – Good Times be higher than Usher ft will.i.am - OMG in the chart? Bonus #2: Will David Guetta ft Kid Cudi - Memories be higher than Selena Gomez & The Scene - Naturally in the chart? Bonus #3: Will Jason Derulo – In My Head be higher than Jason Derulo – Ridin’ Solo in the chart? You have up until circa 09:00 UK Time on Tuesday 4th May to get your entries in (I'll be keeping the thread open) but entries altered after the midweeks have arrived will be excluded. Each Game counts towards the Overall Leaderboard (The Best 48 Games) at the end of the year. Whilst I will maintain the last 6 weeks Leaderboard for newer players If you have never played before, then here is a great opportunity to join in the fun near the beginning of 2010! :cheer:

I thought it was pushed back to a May 9th release? Certainly that is what both Amazon & 7Digital said yesterday (when I was preparing my shortlist of songs for inclusion in my Weekly Chart Prediction Game).

I love this thread for woah this, boo that. But I'm delighted by how well Fyfe Dangerfield's cover of the Billy Joel standard is doing. Yet it is getting missed off the new songs update: Currently She's Only A Woman is at #17.

My attempt at being a pop nostradamus: 26th April: Roll Deep - Good Times 3rd May: Roll Deep - Good Times 10th May: ??? but I do think Edward Maya/Vika Jigulina - Stereo Love - is a guaranteed smash top 3 hit 17th May: B.o.B/Bruno Mars - Nothing On You 24th May: Dizzee Rascal - Dirtee Disco 31st May: Sex Pistols - God Save The Queen (the Internet Facebook campaign with over 400K supporters to get this anti-establishment anthem to #1 in time for the Queen's birthday) 7th June: Various Artists (Robbie Williams, Kasabian, Russell Brand - already reported having recorded their bits according with producer/songwriter Iain Broudie; Rumoured others - Lily Allen, Noel Gallagher, Plan B, Dizzee Rascal, Take That, James Corden, Matt Lucas & David Williams) for England - Three Lions 2010 14th June - Various Artists - Three Lions 21st June - Various Artists - Three Lions 28th June - Either Kylie Minogue - All The Lovers (depending on quality of song/video) and Professor Green/Lily Allen - Just Be Good To Green (sounds awful on paper, so I hope not), or Lady GaGa - Alejandro (if the video is OMG amazing).
  24. Well seeing how I sent a very uncommercial track by a very Buzzjack friendly act to the last contest, then it seems completely fair if I do the very opposite for this contest. Produced by William ("Ray Of Light", "Pure Shores", "Frozen", "Adagio for Strings", "Feel Good Time", "Coffee & TV") Orbit. Co-written by Guy ("Angels", "Feel", "Rock DJ", and all the majority of the other early Robbie solo hits, "Come As You Are", "First Day Of My Life", etc...) Chambers and Lauren ("one third of The Matrix songwriting team") Christy who wrote for Xtina, Avril, Britney, Ricky Martin, Hilary Duff, etc ...... with the artist in question: If only this was the UK's 2010 Eurovision Song Contest entry then we might stand a chance of coming Top 5..... Please listen without prejudice: Country: Nonsuch Artist: Katie Melua Song: The Flood DM Link: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xczyuw_ka...cial-vide_music

I disagree, I thought she sang it perfectly in the understated manner of the definitive Sammy Davis Jr version. Well done to Charlotte Church correctly calling it. But too many people relate to the over corny Neil Diamond version or worse the atrocious hammy Robbie Williams version from his one terrible album "I'm Minging at Swinging" or whatever it was called. Besides WTF were they trying to do giving a song about an old adult male who has lived most of his life to a 17 year old female, unless it was an attempt to sabotage her because she is probably getting near the top of the votes week in week out (as it is the only thing Liverpool could win this year!), when ALW clearly wants Danielle, Lauren or Steph to win. Bottom two Jenny & Sophie. Goodbye Sophie.
