Nick Clegg comes across the best, because he can promise pie in the sky ideals that wont get knocked down by the two main party Leaders because they know the election is likely to end in a minority Government requiring the Lib-Dems to join them in a coalition; and were instead too busy being prepared to knock their own rivals points down. 2. David Cameron consistantly gave great Blairite (= over polished/smarmy) soundbytes, that under specific probing he would not properly answer. On Crime & Immigration he came out the best. 3. Gordon Brown came across as tired, frequently stuttering over the same old (we've got the experience, we've got you into this mess, we'll get you out of this mess) rheotoric.

In this month's The Word magazine they did a piece on the BBC chart show stating how it only gets 1.6 to 1.7 million listeners every Sunday; around 3.5 times less than Chris Moyles' week day breakfast show gets. In stark contrast, back in the 1980s when the chart moved to Sunday's for the first time a regular 7-8 million people tuned in, making it the most listened to show on the station. Here's a better idea ... instead of getting rid of the current chart, which is near perfect, how about having a format to the show where a DJ hosting it gives accurate information regarding the acts and the songs on the charts; keeps tittle tattle gossip to a minimum; playing as many records as possible; and have a DJ host it who clearly does not show a blatant bias for or against records in the charts ...... just like the classic Mark Goodier/Bruno Brookes era. Hardly rocket science is it. :lol:

A great assessment as I always thought Boney M were bloody awful bar Rasputin (and their lead singer never sung on the records, he was a model/dancer - it was producer/songwriter Frank Farian all along - and he repeated the same trick with the equally awful Milli Vanilli a decade later!); and Abba were largely brilliant with their album tracks frequently far superior than their biggest hits which have been overplayed to death.

I personally dislike seeing entries for the next competition advertised before the ban list is completed.
